Beautiful restaurant in the Time Warner Bldg, on Columbus Circle. The food was amazing. The pork chop was wonderfully seasoned, the duck was awesome, the steak wa very tender, the baked chicken was really delicious. Service was very good the first night and the 2nd night Donna was our server who went above our expectations for wonderful service! Great view from the windows of the SW corner of Central Park.
Just a splendid experience! Terrific view, marvelous staff, beef prepared and tasting just the way I like it. I saw Porterhouse featured on aTODAY show segment and decided I'd give it a try the next time I was in the City. So glad we did!
One of the best steakhouses ever. If you are a meat junkie, try one of those gargantuan steaks. It's a luxurious and expensive place with a broad selection of wines.

The ambiance at Porter House was exceptional. We had a very enjoyable evening and great wine. The service was top notch. I had a delicious duck breast which was well executed and perfectly cooked. For dessert, I had the yule log- yum!
Definition of a high end restaurant. Everything is perfect about this place: location on Lincoln Square, view over central park and the skyscrapers, their wine selection, and their argentinian steak frites
It was okay. Stopped by the upper levels of the Time Warner Center and chose the places that seemed the least 'froofie'. Just needed a burger and a gin! Got it. The burger was huge. Came with crispy fries and a great set of onion rings. Hendricks on the rocks.
Excellent burgers and mac & cheese. The service is fantastic too.
Great food. Steak was perfectly prepared, and probably the best Caesar salad I've ever had. Other entrees at our table were great too. Service was professional, and great. Price point was right on, considering the city and the location. Nice wine and beer list as well. Very much worth the trip.
Great place... perfectly cooked steak and appetizer but salads are mediocre and over priced. Outstanding service. I liked it a lot.

We both thoroughly enjoyed Porter House, and at only $25 it was a great lunch/brunch deal for NYC Restaurant Week.
Everything was fresh and arrived quickly and beautifully arranged on our plates. The steak frites was the best part: a classic rib eye full of flavor with
The extra distance travelled by the server for my "large" glass of fresh ice water that will always stick out in my dinner at Michael Lomonaco's new Porter House New York in the Time Warner Center - Chugged the glass that he placed in front of me - then l
I had Christmas Eve dinner here with my family and brother and everything was absolutely outstanding!
We stared off the evening with a large Chilled Seafood Platter, which was cooked/shucked to perfection, along with some cocktails and bubbly. For dinner we split a Porterhouse for 2 along with a Cowboy Ribeye, both cooked to a perfect medium rare, and some spinach and a salad and everything was amazing. Everyone from my older brother to my 5 year old daughter were all happy and well fed!
Absolutely incredible experience. Everything from the service, location, quality and generous portions of the food is all top notch. We definitely return and recommend this restaurant. Menu is extensive and detailed.
The steak here is top notch. I shared the porterhouse for 2, the creamed spinach and truffle mashed potatoes for sides, and the bone marrow for an appetizer. All were incredible. I had a couple of the King’s Old Fashioned’s which is their signature cocktail and it did not disappoint. There are two private rooms in the back - we used one - which are great for events, corporate dinners, etc.
Really great atmosphere with music that makes you think it’s live. Food is overpriced but generally very good, nothing to write home about but overall satisfying. Service is a bit disorganized. Been several times. Steak of course is the way to go.
Its been 5 years since last we dined at Porterhouse. Tonight we had the wonderful prime rib and a couple filets. The gazpacho soup was the perfect temperature with a simple yet "right" flavor. The prime rib was a first for us and the meat was so tender. The bark was outstanding (best deal on menu). The yukon mash was good but small. The asparagus was crisp. Desert was over the top. Service was great from water to bread to removing plates when done. I do feel all the meats are way over priced. You can see the old menus online and even five years ago it was excepted that the bill was a lot but now its out of hand. The restaurant was full. Overall a strong A - oh yeah i miss the veal chop!
Excellent service. No matter how crowded, you will get a lot of attention. For some reason, it makes you feel like you are in a restaurant, unlike traditional NY steakhouses like Gallaghers or Peter Luger. We ordered NY strip, which was a big cut, and juicy. I would say this is a well balanced modern steakhouse.
A very delicious meal! Could you get an equivalent meal for slightly cheaper at a place without a view? Probably
We got the bone marrow, which was very rich and tasty. Then the porterhouse for two which was prepared perfectly. Our sides were creamed spinach with bacon and mashed potatoes with black truffle (the best thing there!)
Perfect for a date night or celebration or to impress someone
The bartender, the atmosphere, and the location are what made this location truly unique and well worth it.
My wife and I enjoyed a few drinks which were made to perfection with appropriate notes. She then enjoyed a fluffy golden crabcake with the right crunch and hints of crab that seafood lovers hope for.
I enjoyed some freshly shucked and silky oysters with a nice light spring salad and Baratta.
Very pleasant, very tasty, and well enjoyed.
180 for the porterhouses maybe not quite maybe more like 125-150 yes 💯 not the best I've ever had but definitely good and yes don't take this review as bad or anything like that! It was definitely great all the way around from service to the appetizers and can't forget the deserts amazing we had a great time. I wish I remembered our server's name he was very knowledgeable in the wine selection and the particular wine I was looking for was not on the menu, but it definitely gave me a few tastes that were right in line with what I was looking for very good job 👍
The food was great and the staff were all so kind! They gave us a perfect table with a gorgeous view to help us celebrate our 10th anniversary. They gave us a really thoughtful and delicious dessert as well. The atmosphere was relaxed even though it is definitely an upscale restaurant. We also felt really comfortable despite being one of the youngest couples in the restaurant. The wine list is extensive and it was easy for me to find my perfect glass. It was an overall an unforgettable experience and we will be back, no doubt!
My wife and I have averaged one new restaurant per week in NYC for the past 3 years. This is the best one we have been to so far. Amazing food, service, and atmosphere. Our server Sam was very knowledgeable of the menu and checked in timely. I highly recommend coming here!
Love Porterhouse. Food is amazing, service is outstanding, the ambiance is magnetic and the view of Columbus Circle and the city is gorgeous.
Amazing service. Nice view. Lobster is a must. Lamb chops are up there. Truffle mashed potatoessssssss ... so good. Cowboy steak for meat lovers. Expensive, but totally worth it!
This is far from the best steak house in nyc. It's a beautiful room with great views of the park. Food is fine but won't blow you away if you've been to any of the great nyc steakhouses like Sparks or Keans or Gallaghers. Prices are what you would expect.
Porter House Bar & Grill is one of our favorite steakhouses in all of New York City. The restaurant is certainly one of the most beautiful steakhouse from a decor perspective in all of Manhattan. We have eaten here dozens of times over the years. The food, service, and views have always been fantastic. We couldn't recommend Porter House highly enough if you're looking for a special place to have a steak or a meal.
My husband and I recently dined at Porter House Bar and Grill and had an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting with its elegant decor and warm lighting. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations for both food and dessert!!
I highly recommend this place and the server Sam!!!
The drinks were so, so great! Definitely the star of the show.
I honestly wasn’t wowed by any of the food, but that doesn’t mean it was bad! The ambience was nice, the service at the bar was great! The service at table was average but it could’ve been because it was 8pm and they seemed to be preparing to close already.
They came around with exactly one slice of bread per person at the the table (sourdough or wheat), which was fine. The steak’s flavor was good, just not as fabulous as Peter Luger or other places in their class. Still, it wasn’t a bad meal!
