Nice find in busy midtown location. We went here prior to a Knicks game at MSG as it's not far too far a walk from here.
We were welcomed as we walked in and promptly shown to a table for 2 at the back end of the bar where there is purpose seating for the restaurant.
You can choose food from a main menu or a bar menu and both options are varied with great options to choose from and all options seem good value particularly when you see the portion sizes.
The service at the table was prompt, friendly and efficient with various people attending to us but all in the same polite and friendly manner.
We ordered starters and mains and just had Coke to drink, which we found out afterwards were refillable at no extra charge and they were all very keen to ensure we were topped up.
Whilst we were in the restaurant at around 5.30pm there were a couple with a young child and they seemed accommodating of the child too.
The starters arrived and were very good.
For my main course I had the Irish chicken curry half and half (rice and chips), it was vert nice but after having quite a large starter, I couldn't finish the large main course. They brought us take out boxes for the leftovers which we actually gave to a homeless man on the way to MSG for the game.
I would recommend visiting this bar/grill on a trip to New York. It also has several large screens for sporting games if you're a sports fan.
We went there on Santa con last week. The staff was polite and professional. We had a fantastic time. The food was delicious but the best part was our bartender. Yuliya. She had a gorgeous smile all night long. Even when the bar got extremely busy she still made sure we were taken care off.
Fine place for drinks after work. The small dishes are very tasty. There was a dj playing music too loud when I went. I think there was an event. I could barely hear the person sitting across from me at the table. Other than that, a fine establishment. Would recommend.
This is my favorite pub in the city. The food is really good! I always sit in the upstairs restaurant area where it is less noisy (although the bar is rarely rowdy). They have one of the best Chicken Parmesans! If you're in a sandwich mood, try the Panko Chicken. And they serve a decent burger as well. The specials rarely disappoint, and they have a flare for presentation. This is much more than you might expect from your average pub. This is my "go-to" place whenever I want a comfortable and relaxing dinner.
We had a wonderful meal, great waiter and the prices were less than expected. This was not your typical bar food. it was so much better. Highly recommend if you're in the city.
This was the first bar I went to the 1st time I ever visited the USA back in 2001. Ended up in there nearly every night that week and I go back every time I visit NYC, last time back in Nov '13. I love the fact that it has hardly changed at all these last 12 or 13 years. Straightforward, good beer, good food, always friendly service and sport on the TVs. It's easy to find too - 35th St just round the corner from the Empire State Building. Never too busy either - the perfect NY bar.
A bit of day drinking celebrating our 35th anniversary landed us at at O'Reilly's. My wife and I ended up staying for hours enjoying a few pints and food. Everything was awesome...but the most awesome treat was the bartender Julia. Absolutely professional, genuine, warm and charming.
By far, the BEST Mac N cheese I’ve ever had. Why haven’t I found this place sooner? The Shepard’s Pie was also excellent. A+
I’ll definitively be back next time I visit the city.
Here from Wisconsin for #ICHSA FINALS at the Town Hall! This place is AMAZING! Great bartenders, fabulous food, perfect atmosphere! Thank You for making our stay in NYC better than expected!
This place suffers from the same issue many pubs in NYC suffer from and that’s being in an old inaccessible building. However, despite the limitations - the wait staff go out of their way for handicap customers. Physically lifting my chair down into the first floor accommodation and lifting it back out when I left without so much as a bat of an eye.
If you can’t leave your wheelchair and do not need the second floor, you can still enjoy an evening here. Personally, I can walk for a very limited amount and needed upstairs. It was a struggle of course, but I did not once feel like a burden or an issue for these warm welcoming people.
Very cozy atmposhere, the staff was super friendly. Food was traditional Irish American offerings and came out promptly. Walked in and had no problem getting a table for 2.
One of the countless Irish bars of the city- this is actually a nicer one. An eclectic food menu with very good dinner choices and decent service. If you are looking for a dinner and drinks place, this is a pretty good bet.
Good price range, I went for the happy hour and I had a great time, the staff is nice, there's free WiFi but you have to request the password. The quality of the meal was very good.
One of the best bars in the city. The staff are on point, with a great selection of beers and ales plus the food is excellent (restaurant quality).
Hope to visit time and time again.
Everything is delicious. This isn't typical "pub" food. Worth stopping in to eat, no matter what you order you can't go wrong. . Kid friendly too.
Great selection of food and beers. Thin crust pizza, curry, etc are a blast. Very friendly staff, very attentive. Loved it!
Had a delicious crispy chicken sandwich with some unique flavors, along with a perfectly cooked crispy chicken cutlet. Prices were reasonable and service was friendly.
Went there for the first time and was surprised. Great bar, food, atmosphere and service. Highly recommend.
