I wanted to try this place for a while and had the chance to squeeze it in before leaving ✈️! As you can see from the pictures the atmosphere was great! The place and ambiance were artistic and had a French aesthetic to it! The service was quick .. you would perhaps wait 10-15 minutes to be seated, but it may take a while until you get the main course ( steak and fries) … so be sure to eat your walnut salad slowly and enjoy talking with your friends/ peers or bring a book if you are going alone. The wait is almost about 10 -15 minutes. The steak had a secret sauce on it that tasted almost like Dijon mustard.. so if you don’t like mustard you might not really like it but the steak was cooked exactly to my liking and the fries was French stick style very delicious 🥩🍟! The bread was very flavorful and it even tasted better with the steak sauce! The lady brought me a non-alcoholic drink that was tasty .. not sure the name but you can see the picture! 🍹 They bring you steak and fries twice, so you might be filling but once I left and had to walk for half an hour I felt light still! So that was great! I didn’t get the chance to try dessert because I had a flight that I had to catch so I was in a hurry but glad I was able to fit it in before! 🥂 overall good experience, you will feel happy overall!

Steak was wonderfully cooked to the perfect doneness and had great flavor, but I disliked the butter sauce as it had a weird acid Herby taste. Fries were underwhelming. Salad is okay. Service is really rushed and honestly the line is a bit longer than I was willing to wait if I was to visit again

Highly recommend having dinner here. House wine is great. The French fries are hot and crispy. The steak is soft, only served rare, medium and well. The sauce is delicious. All of the desserts hit the spot!

It's back! It's been awhile since the promised return of Le Relais de Venise L'Entrecôte to NYC and it's finally here. The new space is lovely if a little smaller than their previous location. I would say the most off-putting (hopefully temporary) trait of the new location is the popularity. As the restaurant does not take reservations, you can wait up to 2+ hours for dinner on a weekend. Once you get in through the food is exactly how you remember. Melt in your mouth steak, crisp fries and their singular sauce. Make sure to try one of the desserts and grab a bottle of the wine. It's worth it.

I love this restaurant so much. I stood in line for 2 hours just to eat steak and fries and I don’t regret it one bit. It was so worth. You must try the desserts as well, they are delicious. The service is not the best but I would blame that on the lack of staffing.

My friend and I have been to L’Entrecote in London and Paris and the NYC location was not as great as we thought. Firstly, the wait was over two hours though when we walked in there were so many empty tables ready to seat customers. The hostess was incredibly slow with getting people in the restaurant and made the process incredibly inefficient. The service felt pretty rushed. The steak frites itself were delicious as per usual but the portions were much much smaller than their other locations and the second serving was maybe 3 more pieces of steak and a handful of fries. The bread was subpar. Overall, given the hype and standard of this restaurant at other locations, I was surprised by the atmosphere, service, quality, and quantity of food. If you can catch this place when it’s way less busy, I’m sure you’d get seated faster and get a more standard serving. Again the steakfrites are amazing, but hard to justify given everything else.

Even better than the original spot in NYC, quite a bit smaller but made for faster and fresher service. This is our favorite restaurant in NYC and Paris...can't wait to try out the London one!

My family and I have frequented Le Relais de Venise L’Entrecôte for years (we’ve been to their Paris locations and to their previous NYC location). This new location is quite smaller than the last with some noticeable differences but nonetheless, the food is still the same. RESTAURANT LOCATION: - if you want to get in with the first seating, get there a little before an hour before they open. My family was dropped off by a private driver and we were still about the 15th table to get seated with the restaurant quickly filling up. There were hundreds of people after us that waited over 2+ hours. There are NO reservations so be wary of the wait time. INSIDE THE RESTAURANT: - the tables are VERY close together. You are basically sitting with the table next to you. I’ve been here for date night and while I think it’s great for a 4th date and beyond, I wouldn’t come here for a 1st date and I wouldn’t come if you have any parties larger than 6 people. We were a party of 5 and it was VERY cramped. - there is 1 men’s and 1 women’s bathroom. At their old location they used to have a 3rd but it’s just the 2 in the restaurant. They are both singular bathrooms and often there’s a line to use them. They were clean and very spacious (for wheelchair accessibility). SERVICE: - Service was just OK.. did it feel rushed? Yes. Was our waitress friendly and attentive? Yes. Theres not much else we had to say about the service we received, it was just OK. FOOD: *Please note, they only serve a salad, steak, fries and various desserts - THAT’S IT* the simplicity of their menu is super appealing because there’s only 3 ways you can order your steak: rare, medium, well done. - Salad | 5/5: the salad does come with walnuts however they do ask if you would like it without. It comes perfectly dressed in a mustard dressing and is just simple. - Steak | 5/5: the showstopper of the meal. It’s cooked to perfection with that green sauce that looks unappealing but you’ll dip your fries and sauce in it. It’s sliced thin and you get 2 servings along with the fries. - Fries | 5/5: crispy, golden, fried to perfection. Ask for extra sauce from the steak to dip them in. - Bordeaux Wine | 5/5: pairs beautifully with your steak and very inexpensive for a bottle. I wish they sold them to take home! - Desserts | 4/5: the profiteroles are always a table favorite. My mom did order a seasonal dessert that came with peaches that was delicious. The reason for the 4 stars was the chocolate tower in my pictures. The wafer tastes and sounds like styrofoam and it’s incredibly loud to cut into. *Tip for ordering desserts: look at their website before going because they will show what the dessert is with the French name! Overall we love coming here and know what to expect. They have really taken off on social media and I think that definitely attributes to the long wait times. My family and I will continue to eat here for years to come!

Famously, there's only one dish on the menu. The only things you'll need to decide on are: what to drink, what temperature you'd like your steak, and what to have for dessert. The frites are unlimited but the sauce is not. The frites are a bit dry and need a sauce to be edible. The bread served with the salad is hard and almost stale. We sat around 6 so perhaps a different time would have a different experience? The tables are tight, people will touch the back of your chair as they get in/out of their seats. No coat check. The wine list is good. The steak is served in two portions but somehow it feels small. It would be great if they added a vegetable to the menu and apps to share. Service is good but they are overwhelmed. We were given one menu for 3 people to read from, no QR code for the menu. Really liked the creme brulee! We were there for a birthday celebration but the server barely acknowledged it- maybe they had no time or maybe the restaurant has yet to figure out how to address celebrations?

I enjoyed the atmosphere and service was quick but the line was very long to get in and the steak was very small and the fries tasted old. Still enjoyed it for the unlimited fries. The profiteroles and chocolate tower was really good
