Fred's is a Wonderful, warm and comfy place to have Brunch with long time friends and family. The owner is fantastic in greeting and making everyone feel at home. The prix fix menu was Outstanding and the food Absolutely Delicious. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and lovely. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Fred's.
The French toast did not disappoint. Omelette was very good as well . Servers were attentive and owner stopped by a few times to chat .
Awesome food & amazing service! Great place on the UWS - especially for dog lovers. Outside seating as well. Had crab cake Benedikt & French Toast - both yummy! Great brunch deal.
Great brunch, reasonable priced prefix. Bonus, dog friendly outdoor seating. Definitely recommend the veggie burger.
We LOVE Fred's. great service. Great food and great atmosphere. We had come here when it had first opened and hadn't been back in over 12 years. The owner David greeted us at the door. I can't say enough great things about Fred's. it's a must.
I went on a Sunday night, at 10 pm, and it wasn't crowded :), I ordered the super nachos with stripes of beef and they were delicious. The waiting service was excellent, he was checking everything was ok all the time. The nachos were really good, but the service was the best. I can't remember his name but in my receipt it says he was #12 �. Thank you :)

Fred's is a homey, always good staple restaurant of the UWS! Solid food, good drinks ( could charge $1-$2 less in my opinion! Had the Spicy Margarita ( $13 or $14 each, ouch). Good service, good mix of people!
Best place to eat on the upper west side! Always a great time and great food.

First, I’m mad we haven’t been sooner. But so glad we finally did! I’m a transplant patient and have to be super careful with food. Salads are one main thing to be super careful about and also my favorite. I explained my situation to the sweetest hostess on Saturday and she happily said it wasn’t a problem and they take things like that very seriously when informed. The ENTIRE staff was super friendly and it was one of the BEST freaking salads I’ve had!!! All the produce under that first layer was like farm fresh! The chicken is super tender and everything just crazy delicious! We will be sharing this salad and trying Mac and Cheese next visit very soon ❤️

Happy Hours was a nice experience. After many years of passing by I finally got to try this place. The sangria and well drink was great as was their macaroni and cheese (with mushrooms and tomatoes).
Our main reason for coming here? Our vet is around the corner, but we live in Hell's Kitchen. That said, we've come here for years in the evenings taking or picking our pups up and love the food and atmosphere. It is simple but always good. I've had several of the burgers and love their cheese steak, which I'm not often allowed to have anymore---so it's always a treat. My wife enjoyed the meatloaf the other day. Staff is always friendly and courteous and we have generally eaten outside (as we usu have one of our dogs w/us). I have to applaud the manager, who, during our last meal there, in as caring a manner as possible, had to move along an overly aggressive resident panhandler.
Enjoyed the urban feel in the big city. Food, service and atmosphere were all on point.
This place is adorable! The dog photos all over the walls are great and we loved that the cocktails are all named for famous dogs. The service was very slow but we think this was because the staff was turning over at this time, everyone was still very nice! The music didn’t fit the ambiance though, lots of pop, reggeatone, and hiphop music even though the vibe is more classic rock/holiday.
great food and plenty of room for outdoor dining. can’t say much about the interior of the restaurant because i sat outside. service was great, our waitress was quick to take our orders. food took maybe 25 minutes to come out.
i ordered the penne vodka (with chicken) and it was delicious and not too rich, perfect for a hot summer day. only complaint is that it was relatively expensive—$26!
i also ordered the margherita flatbread which was also delicious and overloaded with cheese!
Love this restaurant! We visit from Melbourne Australia as often as we can and stay UWS – always visit Fred’s for great food, cocktails, service and ambience. On our recent visit we brought a photo of our beloved late dog ‘Digger’ (on his first anniversary) – asked the Manager if it was possible to put Digger’s photo up amongst all the other local precious pets and he couldn’t have been more obliging and caring as we were a bit emotional. Even hung the pic when we were there so we could see where he would be and take a photo for family at home. Very grateful and appreciative – we can’t wait for our next trip to NYC to visit Fred’s and our Digger, and enjoy another great night. Thanks again to Manager and staff at Fred’s!!
Great restaurant, our server Carrie was the best, she was very friendly and had such an uplifting energy. The restaurant had great vibes. Food tasted great, the stake was probably one of the best I’ve had compare to other places. Don’t really have anything to complain about. I’ll definitely dine here again in the near future.
Fred’s is great! Good drinks, good food, and awesome people. Everyone that works at Fred’s seems to really enjoy their job which makes everyone’s experience much more enjoyable.
I was hesitant to try the actual dinner entrees but the food is awesome. I had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy, delicious! The Mac and cheese was good as well.
Come for trivia on Monday nights. Sit at the bar if you do. Starts at 8 but show up around 7 to get a seat at the bar and if you’re going to eat definitely get here earlier so you aren’t eating during trivia.
If you love dogs, you must come here! My husband and I used to live around the corner and this is one of our favorite spots for brunch. We will always make a trip to the UWS to come here. It’s got a great vibe and the food never disappoints ❤️ today I dropped off a picture of my pup, look for him when you go - Barkley BarkChoy! I’m am one of the many people who only give reviews when it is extraordinary or horrible. This place was amazing.
After 12 days in Mexico and our share of fancy restaurants, this is by far the best steak I’ve had so we came back on day 14.
A small mistake took place on our first visit but the management and waitstaff alike, went above and beyond to make sure we were happy.
In the end, we couldn’t have been happier and it wasn’t even necessary.
It is a very cozy restaurant with walls filled with pictures of dogs! I was a bit disappointed with mac and cheese that I'd ordered for myself but my friend thoroughly enjoyed his lamb burger. Cocktails are incredible and service is good. But it's the ambience that outshines everything else.
The buffalo chicken Mac n Cheese was amazing. Our server was also the absolute kindest to us and our dog. Thank you for a great meal and great company!
We love Fred’s, it’s one of our go tos. They have the best Mac and Cheese, it’s huge and so good but they also have great drinks and burgers and pub food. Trivia is on Tuesday which is fun if you are looking for that.
The cheeseburger was delicious! My husband liked but did not love the chicken tenders and mac & cheese. I think the salsa and guac were good.
