Went with colleagues to El Vez for lunch and had a nice time. Menu has lots of choices though both the nacho appetizer and grilled fish tacos entree were not hot enough; it felt like they were pre made and timing to get them to the table was off. Bar looked good as a place for drinks but likely will not be going back.
I was in New York for the first time and I had heard a lot about this restaurant and the delicious Mexican cuisine available here. We went in for dinner and it was extremely crowded. I bet you shouldn’t come here without reservations!

We loved El Vez. The waiter was helpful in selecting food that was appropriate to our palate, and he was attentive throughout our meal. The decor is interesting, food is good, and prices are not outlandish. I would gladly recommend it.
Frequent this place because it’s by work - love love love the mahi mahi tacos - just add guac and you’re good! Not too big a portion size and always delicious. Restaurant is loud and they get a big crowd for drinks after work so be aware. Otherwise love the casual setting and fun atmosphere!
Every mouthful is delicious. We found our way to El Vez after taking a manhattan/lady liberty cruise. Food is incredible. The guacamole, the very best we have ever eaten. Our waiter, Patrick, was professional, friendly and could not have been more accommodating (as the boys wanted off-menu). Didn't even blink...took care of our every need. Thank you, Patrick for making this an awesome eating experience. Best food we've had since hitting NYC. Much love El Vez. Take the time to check this place out. You will NOT be disappointed. Oh, and ask for Patrick - superior service.
We were originally looking to eat outside and El Vez was close by with patio seating. Turned out to be too windy so they took us inside. Loved the decor, very hip with South American flare. The service was prompt and friendly and the drinks came out quickly. We had chips and salsa - the salsa was very fresh but had a bit of a smoky quality to it that our daughters didn't care for. The chicken tacos, however, were some of the best we've ever had. The seasoning on the chicken was very different and amazing. They also had fresh pico di galo and avacado. Delicious. Can't wait to go back.
You can't go wrong! There is noting about the El Vez lineup that isn't to love. If you're looking for inexpensive, keep waking. If you're looking for reasonable and AMAZING - you're at the right place!
The rice milk cinnamon drink is cold. It is solid. Tastes a lot like badam shake from lari opposite gordhanbhai sales in bhuj. Maybe they be import.

El Vez is a super cool Mexican restaurant with a really nice and vibrant space, where they've used a lot of fun colors and décor elements. The place is massive and has different sections, with a nice outdoors as well.
We tried a variety of things and everything tasted very good. They offer an extensive menu with ample vegetarian options as well. If you are vegetarian or not, definitely try their corn.
The service at this place was very good and they were well priced for the experience offered. A great spot if you are looking for an offbeat Mexican eatery in NYC.
Great ambience and wonderful service. The decor is beautiful. Started off with a classic margarita which was good. The kids got the basic gauc with chips and salsa which was good. For mains we had the zucchini quesadillas, Mahi Mahi tacos & the chicken and grilled shrimp fajita which was served in a big bowl and can easily be shared by 3 people with an average appetite. The food was just ok in terms of taste and nothing special.

El Vez is upscale Mexican in the Battery Park City neighborhood, which serves both traditional and fun Mexican-American inspired dishes. The décor is beautiful, modern, and fun. The crowd is a mix of young professionals just coming from work nearby or young couples living in the Battery Park neighborhood coming for dinner. I recommend trying my favorites, the guacamole (which is offered three ways) and the El Vez Steak. Both options are very delicious and tasty! Overall, this is a decent Mexican Restaurant in the Battery Park City neighborhood.
While I'm naturally skeptical of all Mexican food in NYC, I trusted my friend's judgment and couldn't turn down the opportunity to eat outside on such a perfect evening. Apparently, many other people had the same idea because we were looking at a 30 minute wait. The time passed very quickly as we enjoyed some extremely refreshing Cucumber Mint Margaritas. There was no question that we would be enjoying a bowl of their guacamole, so we ordered that as soon as we were seated. It was so creamy that we spent a while trying to figure out what their secret is (the goat cheese??).
Went on a Saturday in December for a late brunch. This place was very festive and lively inside. Service was a little slow and I had to flag the waiter down a few times. The waiter also told me 3 tacos came in my order and when the plate came w only 2 tacos he told me he misspoke. Probably could have been handled better but the breakfast tacos were seriously bomb. Hearty w the eggs and ham.
The food and vibe of this place is really amazing. Everything we ordered was delicious and the portion size was pretty good too. Service was a little slow but overall good experience.
This place was so good and so close to the oculus for us who ride the PATH! The food was phenomenal! The vibes inside are super fun and the drinks and margaritas are so yummy! The staff also kept coming around to check on us and they were really friendly!
Hanging out in the city and wanted to try a new place of course I read review and figured let’s try it. So happy we did! The noches were great!
Let me start by saying I’m not a cornbread person but I was willing to try it. The Blue Cornbread Benedict was excellent, it was the perfect balance of sweet and salty. I was very satisfied with not only the dish but the attention given by the waitress Carmen. She was excellent

Searched for a Mexican Restaurant nearby and this El Vez popped up. Ambiance is fantastic and the Nachos and Tacos were wonderful. Sangria’s taste was not what I expected but still fine (usually I had sweet ones) Recommend the steak taco. Desert we ordered, Waffle Chocolate Taco (I guess) was something!! Best choice for the final touch.
The food was good but they had limited vegan options. They don’t have substitutes but can remove the cheese. There’s a few vegetarian options. My partner had chicken quesadillas and said they were delicious. Ambience and service was 5 star. We also had a tres leches cake for desert which was very tasty.
Found this Jem Mexican food place near World Trade Center it’s a 5-10 mins walk, where you get authentic Mexican food so flavourful and delicious. We had a starter and 2 main course for 2 pax. The started was mushroom based and it’s vegetarian loved the way cheese and mushrooms blended and it was so delicious and mouthwatering.
Highly recommend Carnitas Tacos which is pork belly based the moment I took a bite of it, it was so soft and so tasty never had so yummy and delicious pork. It’s worth the money and one plate won’t be sufficient if you love the waste

Got a burrito here, the food was good but I couldn't escape the feeling that I was paying quite a lot for the location and the slightly upscale digs. Service was weirdly slow, which the waiter apologized for several times. Pretty good outdoor dining spot, at least.
Nice Mexican place for dinner with friendly service. All the food was tasty and fresh, no free tortilla chips like some other.
This mexican restaurant on the edge of Hudson and World Trade areas was delicious. The margarita and michelada were flavorful and refreshing. Breakfast burrito can easily feed two people. It's HUGE. Ask for the spicy orange salsa for a hot habanero salsa. It's super spicy and so good.
