This was not our first visit to Azalea and we will return again. This trip we ordered from the pre fixe dinner menu. Appetizer or salad, entree and dessert. We both had the house specialty, Pollo Azalea, which was exceptional. We definitely recommend Azalea even if you're not heading to or from a show. Excellent service but make a reservation. The dining room is limited.
I just ended my yearly trip to NYC, a tradition with my best friend for the past 9 years. Azalea has been part of that tradition every year and you never disappoint! This year, we arrived just as they were closing. They could have turned us away, instead we were seated and a fabulous meal was prepared. The chef even prepared a special risotto for my friend who has food allergies. Best risotto in the city! Our waiter remembered us from last year and we enjoyed friendly conversation, great food, and a wonderful atmosphere. Thank you for being a part of our NYC travels all these years and treating us so well!
I came in mid-afternoon on a weekday and received wonderful service, and the salmon penne was so flavorful. It had just enough bite; perfectly al dente. The cheesecake is a must.
Great food, bartender Aida was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Place was very clean and service was just as good as the food.
I would deff recommend this place.
Real deal, elegant ambience, a great find in Times Square. Excellent pasta, delicious soup of the day Minestrone and thin crust pizza. My wife enjoyed her crab salad and rigatoni. Reasonable prices. And friendly staff.
We were there after seeing Wicked right next door. The service and the food was excellent. Nice wine selection and superb desserts. Our dinners were served very quickly but we weren't rushed. I loved that the portion wasn't huge but still left satisfied.
Wine was great, I love their gnocchi and their cappacino. Service is always attentive and friendly (thank you Andrew). Azalea has become one of my favorite restaurants in the city. Setting is convenient and atmosphere cozy and very inviting. Would highly recommend.

This is one of the best Italian eatery in NYC
Just few step away from all the best theaters
Fantastic food and dessert! Would definitely eat here again when visiting NYC and highly recommend to other patrons.
The pear and gorgonzola souffle was incredible. The risotto special with truffle shavings was delicious.

We had an excellent time there before and after the show. Food and drinks were great. Absolutely loved the bartender Ida. Would definitely go back and recommend it to friends 👍👍😊
Went with my students before Wicked. The wait staff was prompt and super polite with them. So happy for the recommendation to come here! Ask for the Pre-theater menu too.

I had the most delicious girls lunch today at Azalea! The wait staff were simply lovely and the food was delicious! I was very curious about the asparagus and lobster soup of the day - it was incredible! And it was served beautifully. Everyone’s appetizers and mains were delicious and served promptly. I’ll definitely come back. Would be a great space for a private party as well.
I wanted to share with you a delightful dining experience my son and I had at Azalea this past weekend. It was our first time visiting this restaurant, and I must say, it was truly remarkable!
The service we received at Azalea was excellent from start to finish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout the meal. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious! I decided to start with the beef carpaccio, which was perfectly seasoned and tender. For the main course, I couldn't resist trying their steak, and it did not disappoint. Cooked to perfection, it was juicy and full of flavor. And to top it all off, I indulged in a slice of their heavenly cheesecake, which was simply divine.
The tasteful decor of the restaurant added to the overall dining experience. Azalea has created a warm and inviting ambiance, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal.
Needless to say, we are already looking forward to our next visit to Azalea. With such a delightful experience, we can't wait to explore other tempting items on their menu. We highly recommend you give it a try too.
Had the linguine vongole for takeout. Giving it 4 stars but can see the potential for 5 stars. I think having it for takeout -- and not eating until 20 minutes after it was prepared -- did not allow the dish to reach its full potential: the pasta was somewhat dry, with the sauce collecting at the bottom of the takeout container. I would imagine the dish would be quite a bit better if I had dined it -- which I plan to do in the near future 😄
I counted 5 shrimps and 7-8 clams, both of which were reasonable quantities. Quality wise, they were good, especially the shrimps.
The rigatoni was by far the best thing we had. The sauce was absolutely delectable and should have also been on the gnocchi dish (that sauce wasn't as flavorful). The rigatoni was a 5, and the gnocchi a 4.
For drinks, the blackberry old-fashioned, we give a 5! So good! We wouldn't get the charcuterie board again as it was nothing to write home about...
We'll be back for the rigatoni and the old fashioned.
This place was phenomenal! I think it's better than the Russian Tea Room. We made reservations for Christmas dinner after flying into NYC. They easily sat seven of us, and our table was ready before the reservation, which was nice since it was cold outside. I recommend asking the server about specials and/or recommendations. They were spot on. Ravioli was delicious, recommend it. But any selection is good here. Affogato was something new for us and very good. Recommend mango cheesecake with sorbet and pistachio cake. You cannot go wrong here, atmosphere, service and food are all outstanding. This place was our top selection for our stay in NYC during Christmas!
The food was exceptional, the service was below average-average.
We order the meatballs which may have been the best meatballs I've ever eaten. My husband ordered their lasagna and I ordered the Rigatoni. He rated his an 8.5/9 out of 10 and I rated mine 8 out of 10.
The recommendation I have for food was to provide more fresh bread by leaving a small basket of it at your table.
Our server was hard to understand, wasn't overly friendly, seemed even bothered by us being there and forgot to take our order. We had to ask him to come to our table so we could order our main course.
Italian Restaurant next to the Broadway Musical.
The food was good although nothing special. There were a lot of waiters for few guests so everything went really quick but we also felt a bit watched at times.
We had a nice dinner before the musical though.
We made reservations at Azalea since it was very close to our Broadway show, and the menu looked amazing. Our show got out a bit earlier than we expected, and we were grateful that they had no problem taking us anyway. I was surprised at how quiet the restaurant was for a Saturday night, but it made for a nice dining experience for us. We enjoyed our meals of the paccheri ragu and grilled salmon, but the appetizer of beef carpaccio stuck out to me the most. It was so flavorful with the shallot and caper dressing! We were finished with our meal in just under an hour, which was nice, but the experience did feel a bit rushed. The staff was very professional, but not exactly the friendliest. Overall, a good choice when you’re in Times Square.
AMAZING experience all around! Great food and service! My partner had the salmon and described it to be the "best salmon I've ever had"! I had the mushroom risotto... to die for! YUM! Definitely try it because you won't regret it! Great location, too! Thanks Azalea!!!!
One of my regular places next to my office. Mostly had drinks here and cocktails are really good.
The ambience is upscale and can use the place for entertaining clients.
People here are very helpful.
Recommend getting there early before the theater crowd rolls in. We had 5 pm reservations and had a leisurely meal before going to the theater. We started with some calamari for appetizers- to die for! I had mushroom risotto which was amazing. Had a lemon drop lemoncello- so good! Save room for dessert too. We shared a creme brule. Very pleasant staff with a family owned vibe. Super convenient to all the Broadway shows.
Excellent food, artfully presented. Top notch service. My water glass was never empty. Pear and endive salad was one of the best salads I've ever had. Gnocchi and Chicken Azalea were outstanding. The Apple honey cake we had for dessert was like warm, soft bread pudding. Highly recommend.
Great dinner! Convenient location to the theaters for an after Broadway show dinner. Service was excellent as well. The food was delicious. Would definitely go back!
Had dinner before a show. We were running a bit late and asked what could be made that would be fast. Both the Chicken Milanese and the Chicken Azalea came out within 5 minutes of ordering. Both were fantastic, finished up with the Chocolate Cake. Melt in your mouth delicious. Would highly recommend for a pre-show dinner.
Class Italian restaurant with a traditional menu and great service.
