Really enjoyed eating here. Nice to have tapas which is completely different to most of the restaurants in the area. Sat on the patio at the back of the restaurant which was really nice. Food was good, had croquettes, chorizo in wine, eaggplant, calamari, meatballs, patatas bravado & Serrano on bread. Two reasons we haven’t given 5 stars - we ordered dates wrapped in bacon and they never arrived despite being assured they would - no big issue as we were full anyway and we have eaten tapas in Granada, Seville, Madrid and other Spanish cities and towns and most of them have been 5 stars but this place is worth a visit. Prices reasonable and service pretty good.
Grab a seat at the bar and get the red sangria or a sexy b---- (ask the bartender, trust me) The bartender is excellent and will take great care of you.
Fantastic all the way around. Great tapas, and the sangria varieties are to match. Friendly staff and very happy.
Good food and service. Tapas outstanding and reasonably priced. Same for Sangria! Will be back.
Fantastic food ... terrific service. Went in tonight not knowing what to expect, and boy was I pleasantly surprised. The view from the street doesn't do it justice ... this is a nice, cozy restaurant with great atmosphere.
Upon arrival we were served bread and chips / salsa. Chips are home made (nice touch), and the salsa was terrific. Not sure of all the ingredients in there, but this salsa is not as chunky as Mexican, and not as spicy. But it was tasty, that's for sure. For an appetizer we ordered a special tapas plate - fried provolone ... it was great, well seasoned and not as salty as some greek (saganaki) alternatives.
For the mains we had the skirt steak and the garlic shrimp - simple and delicious. The skirt steak was excellent - well marinated and seasoned, cooked perfectly to medium-rare. The steak was seasoned with garlic and brushed with a hint of butter, and came accompanied by roasted vegetables and delicious garlic potatoes. The garlic shrimp came sizzling on a hot skillet and were accompanied by fragrant rice and roasted vegetables. The shrimp were fair size and deveined ... well executed, again.
Overall a very pleasant, terrific tasting experience. The service was fast and friendly and helpful when asked. Well done. Will certainly come back.
3.5/5
Excellent Tapas. Sangria 46 is one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in Midtown Manhattan. As a party of 9, the accommodations were still comfortable for such a humble space. We ordered several tapas, which 9/10 of them were pleasing to the whole party. Everyone was content except the fact the tapas didn't come out all together. The only complaint I had was the squid was bland, but everyone at the table enjoyed the other 10 tapas we ordered. I would definitely recommend this place for a birthday party, as everyone in the room sang and it was a very enjoyable experience.
A little shabby a lot Spanish, this little place turned out some delicious tapas. It was my first stop in NY and therefore set my benchmark for tapas in this town. Baclava crochets were great.
Easy Diner To Please
+4.5
Great prixe fix menu!. Lots of choices on this prixe fix menu! I looked at many menus online before making a reservation here. I initially did so bc they had a lot of choices. And they were all very good! We dined with another couple, all tried something different. Not one disappointment. Service was attentive but not oppressive. Atmosphere had a lot of urban energy. And best, they had us out of there in 90 minutes - just like they said they would - so that we could enjoy a leisurely stroll to the theatre for our 8 pm show. I would definitely recommend Sangria46 and go there again the next time we're in NYC.
Nice place in the city. The food was really great and the wait staff was helpful. It was a very busy night and the tables are definitely close together, which is to be expected. The food was delicious and the sangria was even better! We came after seeing a show and it was a nice end to the evening. I had the skirt steak and it was a LARGE portion.
Oh geeeez!
I love the food here!
I don't even know what we ordered. We just ordered a bunch of tapas and a couple sangria pitchers.
The tapas were so worth it. I think the next time we will skip the sangria and just eat, eat, eat.
Ordered too much sangria. Left one pitcher almost full, but all the food we ordered was yuuuuuuummmmmmyyy!
Service was attentive.
Cozy ambiance.
Definitely a great place for any occasion, whether you are sharing a date night or a celebration, this place is a winner!
This restaurant has character. The service was good . The food was beyond delicious. I enjoyed my drinks. Will definitely visit again .
It was good and the staff super nice and friendly.
The sangria was great and patatas bravas were awesome!
The black rice and paella valenciana were ok, good but jot the best I have had.
The dishes are big, one paella could feed two people!
My favorite place! In the heart of Manhattan. Delicious food! Try octopus and cheese platter with wine! Always great service and nice people around! With wine two main course and appetizers your bill will be only $120 with tips. And dont forget to say a nice thank you $.
Thank you so much guys💗
Enjoyable meal. Waitress Linda friendly and attentive. Accommodated allergies. Sangria a must have. Variety in pri fixe menu
The paella is worth for waiting 30 min. Extremely aromatic and packed with seafood. The food looks pleasing to the eye and are very tasty.
A very delightful place food was very good and so was the service.
The best sangria that I ever tried. Excellent service and the food is just in another level(100% perfect 👌)
Delicious... Great selection of Tapas and wines .. was visiting from Florida so missed these type of authenticity.. Great place family friendly
This place was really good, the Paella was awesome.
Fantastic appetizers, sangria, pork entree was a bit bland... service was good and friendly.
Excellent service!Great atmosphere, the sangria tasted delicious. Why 4 not 5? Food was good but not extraordinary.
We had Paella and some meat. Atmospheres and Food both were nice!
I gave them a favorable 4 star review because of the staff. Staff was very accommodating and we never had to look around and ask ourselves, where's our server. We called 45 minutes before arriving and got seated right away. The place was packed too. There menu does not show any kids choice but they made chicken tenders for my 5 year old. To the food. We did tapas, around 6 dishes for 3 and it was plenty. The food was good but not the best Spanish food we've had. Fun loud atmosphere and with a craft of sangria you will have an enjoyable time out.
Cute little restaurant. Food was delicious, we enjoyed several tapas dishes. The octopus in pesto sauce was out if this world!! The waitress was not pushy and very pleasant and the bartender is absolutely fabulous!!!! Great personality. Will be back for more👍
The food is amazing as well as the service. Got the churrascco steak and the mango sangria.
You walk in and you hear to Spanish music. Makes you want to start dancing. We are seated right away. Water is brought to the table and everyone is friendly and helpful. Our waitress, Linda is the sweetest and explains the sangria and how many glass to the extra large and large. The food comes out fresh and smelling amazing. Everything melted into our mouth. We were full but the food was so good how can you not get dessert. Best flan, I have tasted. Not too sweet or plain. Perfect touch. We can not wait to get back.
Great tapas selection and, of course, Sangria! We enjoyed a great experience here with friends from Australia. The wait staff were helpful, kind, and on point. The food was the star of the show, we did only tapas, ranging from grilled octopus (great) to their brisket (very tasty). Live music made the evening. Definitely recommend you give them a try.
