I love this place so much! Everything from the food, to the staff, to the atmosphere. This place has it all. There is also outdoor seating available.
I've had a lot of Vietnamese food over the years, and this is definitely the best viet food in Chelsea. The the entrees (and spring rolls and coffee) are authentic and delicious. The seasonings remind me of Vietnam.
The staff are very attentive and friendly, providing A+ service. The desserts are actually quite food (got the champagne mango sorbet).
I would come back over and over. You won't be disappointed.
Great food and ambiance! The peanut sauce for the spring rolls are really good; I wish I could get more to go with my entree! The banh chocolate is also very good, really nicely complimented by the orange sauce. Overall great experience and quality food.

Food is GREAT! I ordered OMAI salad. Lots of ingredients. Grilled post tastes juicy and tender. Fried spring rolls are the BEST I’ve had! The sprinkle of peanuts adds more texture and makes everything perfect.

Nice little Vietnamese restaurant in Chelsea. I had the shrimp ravioli and I loved it. Their beef noodle is also good.
I love Vietnamese food and have tried many restaurants but this one is the BEST! Every dish is so flavorful and delicious. Definitely get the homemade banana bread for dessert, it will not disappoint. Also, the waitress names Sharon was incredible. So sweet and recommended the best dishes. This restaurant is a MUST.

This is the BEST Vietnamese restaurant I have ever been to. Beyond that, everyone who works there is friendly beyond belief. The food is insanely good. We were celebrating a birthday and they made it feel very special. I love this restaurant so much. The ambiance is amazing.
Omai salad was so good. It had variety of ingredients like shrimp, pork, and crispy spring roll.

My wife and I were in the mood for Vietnamese food after a visit to the Whiney Museum 2 weeks ago. I'm a fan of good Banh Xeo, or Vietnamese crepe. (It was the first Vietnamese dish I ever tried years ago, and I've discovered I lucked out.)
We arrived right after the place opened on a Friday evening, no reservations, and got a nice window table. Recommend the Blood Orange Martinis. The cold house saké was not as dry as expected. Crispy spring rolls very good. Like many Vietnamese dishes, there is a mix of salad to wrap your pieces of roll before dipping it in the sauce. I would have liked a little hot sauce on the table.A bottle of Siracha is usually found in many Asian restaurants. My wife had grilled prawns and grilled eggplant, both very good.
The Banh Xeo is considered another starter and it is surprising light. The rice flour crepe was crisp and filled with bean sprouts, scrimp, pork, with the usual fish sauce and salad. I believe the crepe is cooked separately from the filling, which allows it to be made quickly. Other restaurants make the crepes with the scrimp and pork or chicken mixed with the batter. We didn't mind Omi's version. In fact we got three orders for the two of us. Banh Xeo can be bland, but Omai's has a nice flavor.
A very pleasant space, with terrific service. We were impressed.

I randomly stumbled across Omai during one of my lunch breaks, and I'm so happy I did! The pho was DELICIOUS, the rolls were cooked to a golden and crispy perfection, and the herbs were super fresh. Oh, and the staff? Welcoming, super sweet, and very accommodating. My first impression of Omai was so great, I frequented the restaurant often (literally weekly, for almost a year), either alone, with friends, or with family. I consider this ONE OF THE BEST VIET RESTAURANTS IN NYC!
Had a delightful dinner here with our toddler! They have fairly limited outdoor seating at this time but hope to expand to slightly more soon. Nice to try several appetizers, tapas style! Great service too!
Five stars for Omai! The serenity of this delightful restaurant is apparent from the moment you walk through the door. The noise of the outside world fades away as you are warmly greeted and seated in this this intimate and quiet oasis of a restaurant. Every bite of my dinner was a “best bite”, from the grilled eggplant starter, to the seafood dumpling soup, from the steamed sea bass to the delectable chocolate mousse with orange sauce. A reasonably priced glass of Chardonnay and a cup of calming lotus tea rounded out this memorable meal. Thank you, Omai, for this inspired Vietnamese culinary experience!
Very good food with variations on the usual pho dishes you see at many Vietnamese places. Bit more upscale too. Nice sidewalk shed was incredibly noisy with raucous drinking group.
This is my go to for Pho. It's so tasty and the restaurant is located conveniently near my office! The service is friendly and attentive, and since I've been coming here for a few years, I've met a few of the waiters/waitresses and they have all been very sweet, last time I was there I got red bean ice cream (so good!!) on the house. I haven't had many of the dishes, as I always come here when I'm craving some Pho, as mentioned earlier. Aside from that, I have tried some of the starters and the salads and all are delicious. Highly recommended if you are in the area.
Food was excellent! Seating is tight. Lemongrass beef rolls just OK. Monkfish starter: outstanding. Shrimp and ribs entree: delicious, but portion could have been larger. Didn't leave stuffed, but satisfied. Menu is frustrating: would like to taste everything! If I lived in NYC, I'd be a regular for the creative flavor. I'll be back.
