I will still give 5 stars because the service was good.
Veggie pizza was so amazing but toppings kept falling off.
Truffle and artichoke starter was amazing just a tad salty.
The ham starter thing was good and refreshing but taste like a regular ham sandwich.
Only other thing is I don’t understand that menu very well.
Great place, good food, drinks and ultimately staff.
Wheel chair entry is easily navigated. We arrived very late evening just before closing. They were able to accommodate us more than once now. We were tired and hungry, hospitality and comfort is so important! The sounds here when dining earlier are pretty loud, to hear each other talking. Food and service is great!
My wife and I were looking for someplace near Gramarcy for lunch. We found Obicà and decided to give it a try.
I was interested in the mozzarella sampler. If you are truly into mozzarella cheese then this is the place and menu option for you.
We also ordered lunch specials. We both got the caprese salad. She opted for the cacio e pepe and I went with the lasagna.
The caprese was amazing. The pesto they had included made the cheese and tomatos just pop with flavor.
My lasagna was perfect. It was fork tender and cooked to perfection. Each bite was full of flavor. My wife let me try her cacio and that was great too. The noodles used in both of these dishes had to been made there based on how tender and unique they were.
Lunch was $26 per person for our salads and mains. The mozzarella sampler was around $56. It was quite the expensive lunch for our trip to New York but I feel as if the price matched the quality and service we received. We look forward to coming again and trying something different next time.
After a long day of walking around the city, what a lovely way to end the evening. Relax, get an appetizer and some wine before some pizza or pasta. For appetizers we had the fried mozzarella, which was so good it didn’t make it to getting its picture. We also got the fresh tomato’s with pesto sauce. Toss tomatoes in the EVOO and it goes fantastic with bread.
You can’t go wrong with any of the pizza options either. We also got the Italian sausage and mushrooms pasta dish which complemented everything else.
Would eat here again.
Came here a few weeks ago and got to share a number of dishes with my friends - all were great! The four cheese pizza was delicious as well as the duck ragu. The tiramisu was also wonderful along with the caprese chocolate cake! Also highly recommend the smoked burrata!
My team and I went for an after work Dinner Friday night and it was very packed and busy as usual restaurants like these are. It is more on the formal side/ atmosphere and definitely on the more luxurious pricy side but the food was excellent. It was all very delicious and didn’t feel heavy to eat. We ordered quiet a bit for our table and drinks so definitely come hungry. The staff and manager were nice checking up on us and refilling our drinks or water. I would definitely come back for another team special outing or for a fancy date.
We went there for Valentine's day dinner. As a starter, we ordered piccola degustazione. It was average. Cheese portions and bruschetta were unnecessarily small to share. Sea Bass was delicious but mushrooms didn't fit the concept of the plate. Caccio e pepper was made with fresh pasta. Grecante wine was a great match. Tiramisu was delicious but could be a little more wet. Panama cotta was perfect. Recommended
The food was fantastic, the ambiance was lovely, and the cocktails were very unique and well crafted. Out of the food we had, the focaccia and mozzarella were incredible. The pizzas were quite good as well. It’s a great date night spot!
Truly wonderful all around. The food was spectacular and the drinks were too. Service was fast and courteous. We had two or three small plates and some drinks and the price was par for the area, not exorbitant. Would recommend to anyone and I will definitely be back. 5 stars aren’t enough.
Tasty Italian spot with good service! The restaurant is pretty big and sound can echo but our table of 7 got great service. We got a meat/cheese board as an appetizer, a bunch of pizzas and pastas for entrees, and then affogatos and espresso martinis for dessert.
Food: Amazing. For main entree, I ordered Tortelloni and my husband ordered the prime beef tagliata, and both were amazing. I never tasted cream sauce like the one they used for the tortelloni before—pleasantly sweet yet savory at the same time. And they added very thin slices of what I believe were sweet potatoes, which I thought was a wonderful decision. The prime beef was cooked just how we liked it and was crispy on the outside, tender in the inside. We asked if the broccoli can be swapped with baked potato instead and they listened to that request with no problem. Also, my husband dropped his knife while eating the steak and a worker brought another knife without us even asking. So service, as you can tell, was also nice. We also ordered a bottle of wine—price was reasonable.
Vibe: Not the best if you want quiet, romantic vibes but I went on a Saturday night so I can't really expect anywhere to be not crowded or quiet. Overall, the vibe is decent—I just didn't like that they sat people too closely despite having more space.
