The atmosphere was amazing,
And the staff and service was outstanding.
The ceviche was special, (I’ve been to Peru before)
The fish were some of the freshest I’ve had.
The cocktails were so different and tasty,
I’ll definitely be back.
This is not typical restaurant It’s so different and exciting.
Work dinner with FedEx. It was busy even on Thursday night. Not the best drink but the food was pretty good. Loved the taco the most. Sushi was good enough. Overall good service.
Unique dishes, delicious flavors, and an amazing vibe! The owner comes around and takes his place very personal and serious We had an enjoyable time at Sen Sakana centrally located right off from Times Square
The food here is excellent. I had the eggplant starter and the cheeseburger. I finished it up with the teramisu. The Cosmopolitan was delicious.
The service was superb, although there was a drop too much hovering.
The atmosphere was typical New York restaurant. Dark and heavy bass beat. But the music wasn't too loud, so it was bearable.
All in all it was lovely and the price was quite reasonable. We were a party of 5, and the bill came to just over $500, including tip and taxes.
Very unique flavors, my first time trying Nikkei cuisine and really enjoyed it! The Andes Yama sushi roll with imitation crab and beet purée was unique and excellent. Service was a tad bit rushed but not bad
Sen Sakana was incredible! We had a last minute private dinner and they were able to get everything together in time and were flexible with different dietary needs, and flexible with what we wanted on the menu. The food was delicious and everyone came out super happy with the food, from a vegan to meat lovers, to kids. We are so appreciative of the the team and Michael who worked with us at every step of the way! The team was super friendly and helped us throughout the whole night. We had such a great time! The quinoa crusted chicken, the "cheese" burger, the Japanese cucumbers, and the crispy rice onigiri, were AMAZING!
Sen Sakana Japanese Restaurant is an exceptional dining experience. The quality of the food is unmatched and the cucumber dish in particular is a must-try and it's not to be missed. Everything I tried was delicious and exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely and inviting, and the staff is friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Sen Sakana for anyone looking for a delicious and high-quality Japanese dining experience.
One of the best kosher dining experiences I’ve had! Service was great, meal was paced appropriately, prices fair and food fantastic. Sushi was incredibly fresh tasting and the hot dishes were incredible as well! Can’t wait to go back
Stopped in for a drink at the bar before getting on train from Grand Central. Had the most delicious off the Menu mezcal cocktail served beautifully by the most attentive and detail oriented bartender. Ambiance was great from the lighting to the music, wish I came to eat but happened to stop in after having dinner! Definitely will be back for both food and drinks. I'm a big fan of well executed fusion cuisine, I cannot wait to come back for an elevated Peruvian-Asian fusion dining experience!

I recently visited Sen Sekana, a Japanese restaurant, and I have mixed feelings about my experience. On the positive side, the ambiance of the restaurant was really nice and the vibe was on point. However, the lighting was too dark that it made it difficult to take photos of the food if you wanted.
Moving on to the food, while it was nice, I must say that it was not worth the extremely high prices. The quality of the food did not match the exorbitant prices. On the other hand, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. However, they need to be more attentive to their customers' needs as they have a tendency to sweep in and take leftover food without checking if the customer is finished.
Overall, I would rate Sen Sekana a 4-star review. The ambiance and vibe of the restaurant were great, and I actually left enjoying the night but the food was average and overpriced. The staff was friendly but not very attentive to customers' needs. If you are looking for a trendy spot for drinks with friends, Sen Sekana might be a good option...

What a phenomenal experience a few weeks ago, at Sen Sakana in Manhattan! I wish I had better pictures (the dim lighting– which gives the place a super cool vibe–is not conducive to great pictures), but the food was absolutely delicious! The service was also great! After we had reserved this dinner with friends, we told my parents, and, as it turns out, Michael (the manager) is gym buddies with my dad. He was an absolute gentleman, and a fantastic host! I don’t generally eat vegetables at all, but I decided to try the shishito peppers that Michael so generously sent to our party, and I gotta say, they were really good! For my meal, had the spicy salmon sushi and the Prime Aged Vegan “Cheese” Burger, both of which were delicious! The burger was super stuffed, and messy to eat, but worth the mess. The vibe of the place is also super cool, and not your typical kosher restaurant. All 7 of us had a really great time, and immensely enjoyed the food. All in all, an incredible experience! Highly recommended!
Had a very interesting dinner with good sake. Ambience was good, a bit loud but not overwhelming. Service was good too, I had to keep reminding our waiter to pour more of the sake bottle we bought since they kept in a bucket for us (keep it nice and cold) but it wasn't a big deal since it wasn't dry for long. Overall was an enjoyable experience.
We had a group of 7 people and Sen Sakana took care of us! The food was delicious from the different sushi dishes to the burgers and even the quinoa fried egg. Don't miss the beef skewers they were terrific as well as the 2 deserts we got, both the soufflé and the churros got rave reviews. Shout out to the staff the service was top notch, just keep in mind its a pretty noisy place so don't know if Grandma would enjoy.
Excellent food and service (though very dim lighting). Drinks were delicious, sushi was fresh, and there were plenty of fun unique kosher dishes to try.
Excellent foods! Miso soup was a surprise on the menu at $10 but actually includes pickles and a side salad - so actually a good deal. Ceviche and beef tar tar were both excellent. Tasty little gem!
Fantastic experience all around. The food is excellent, fresh and flavorful. You can really tell they are using high quality ingredients. (the Otoro is out of this world) The server was friendly and knowledgeable without being over involved. He recommended a fantastic Soke that really enhanced our experience. It's not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. Definitely recommend this place, and look forward to our next visit.
