The food is so good and the service is very nice. Great experience here! The location is very good too I love to be back when I'm craving some good steaks. I've come back for a couple of times.
This place is awesome! Tucked away inside a small space on Park Avenue lives one of the best steakhouses I’ve been to. Giving it a five star overall. However, the service is a bit slow and the sides aren’t great. Mashed potatoes tasted like they were made days prior with no butter, salt, or pepper. Service was a bit slow as well. But still deserving of five stars.
The food was amazing. We ordered the salmon and filet mignon. For sides we had the Brussels sprouts , sautéd mushrooms , and mashed potatoes. The steak and the mushrooms both had so much flavor. I
The bread was slightly cold and the bathrooms were gross. I was quite surprised at the lack of cleanliness within this level of establishment due to how there was toilet paper on the floor and etc.
When we mentioned that we were heading to New York City, we got recommendations for two steak restaurants. Having visited both places, I can say with absolute certainty that Wolfgang's Steakhouse is an absolute gem! First off, its location is fantastic, and the online reservation process is a breeze. The staff working there are incredibly welcoming. I went with my kids, and they were considerate in suggesting menu options that suited our needs and consistently attentive throughout. The filet mignon I ordered was truly outstanding. Whenever I crave steak, Wolfgang's Steakhouse is definitely the place I'll choose. Thanks once again!
The meat is very great!
The porterhouse steak is one the best meat I had in my life.
The service is 5 stars
Bacon is very special as a started!
Wolfgang's Steakhouse is undeniably a spectacular dining destination. Our waiter demonstrated an impressive depth of knowledge on their expansive wine selection, guiding us towards the perfect pairings for our meals. The food can only be described as heavenly - every dish was a flavorful experience that impressed us down to the very last bite. Wolfgang's truly takes steakhouse dining to a new level, it's an absolute must-visit for any food enthusiast.
Great steakhouse. Delicious food and wine, Prompt service, true steakhouse vibe. We ordered New York sirloins - medium well and rare medium ($65 each) with fries and cream spinach. One of the best steaks and creamed spinach I have had in NYC. The cut was prepared perfectly. Wine recommendations were spot on. Portion size as expected in NYC (plenty). I wish they would serve their bread hot instead of cold. The seating is very cramped and in a tiny corner for two seat tables - not at all ideal for dates, especially considering we paid $200 for two people. The tables for 4 seats or plus, are comfortable and spacious.
A solid steak spot in the city. We ordered the wolfgang salad, the bacon, the iceberg salad, the porterhouse for 3 and the lambchop. The wolfgang salad was tasty but very small in portion. The bacon was good (better than peter lugar). The iceberg salad a bit of a surprise. It was literally two chunks of cut iceberg lettuce and some tomatoes. It was nothing special but went surprisingly well with the meat. The steak and the lambchop were very good, but they do become pretty salty once they cool down. The creamed spinach was good but also salty. The asparagus was a bit too undercooked for my taste. Overall, i think it was one of the better steakhouses in the city.
Our server was really nice and sweet, but the steak took over an hour to come out. The restaurant is cavernous, which can be a good vibe for a steakhouse, but does get very loud.
It was my big bros birthday, so we got the royal treatment. Walking into Wolfgang’s with him felt like walking into the strip club with James Harden right after a first-round playoff exit.
The whole staff coming up to him dapping him up, with all the restaurant patrons whispering amongst themselves trying to figure out who he is. One staff member shouted, "Mr. Bloomberg is in the building!!" While another one came up to dap him up saying "It's big bro!" He responded with a disarming smile, slapping his hand away and going for the hug while saying "Nah you know you're my big homie!!"
I got a little shy during all this commotion so went to the bar and started with an espresso martini to wake me up and get me out of my shell a little bit.
We were then seated at the best table in the joint. The bread to start off was immaculate, I probably had 4 pieces. I love bread.
My only complaint was the butter was ice cold. Me and my homie were inspired and began to discuss making a heated butter knife and selling it to steakhouses. I mean there is a major gap in the market for this. Sit back and visualize how optimal a lukewarm butter knife would be to spread your butter perfectly all over every corner of the bread. I can see millions.
We all got the porter house steak medium rare (obviously), and it was absolutely to die for. The best steak I have had in NYC if I'm being really honest, and I can only speak the truth. It gets me into trouble sometimes.
Wolfgangs is my favorite steakhouse in the city.
Good old school NYC steak house. Everything that comes to your mind by combination of these words is a description of this place. High end food, atmosphere and service. Speaking of which, the waiter was a bit late on bringing sides to our steak, so without any negotiations he notified us that, these delayed sides will be removed from our bill (although they were served) and on top of that for the inconvenience he was giving us a complimentary cheesecake (which happened to be one of the best I ever tried). The place isn't cheap, but worth every single penny.
If you want a class complemented by good food this is the place for you.
Steak was amazing and the creamed spinach was to die for. Bread was lacklustre. Overall pretty decent steakhouse. However, took a star off because of the service. The server did the bare minimum of serving us drinks, taking our order and plating the steak. Could be better to be honest, considering this is a famous steakhouse. Would love to get desserts but there were no check-ins or recommendations. Didn’t regret coming but probably won’t come back again.
I’m beyond impressed with the service and hospitality of Wolfgang’s. This restaurant deserves 10 stars. Our waiter Tony was excellent with our wine pairings and selections. I had the best ribeye of my life.Tony is the best of the best. As we left , we were greeted with handshakes and warm goodbyes . Thank you .
This steakhouse is fantastic. Reservations were surprisingly not very hard to come by given the small dining area. There's a small bar area where you can wait or just grab a couple pre-dinner drinks (bar and dining tabs are kept separately and don't carry over).
We had a half dozen oysters, the porterhouse for two (HIGHLY RECOMMEND), the German potatoes, and creamed spinach, accompanied by a couple cocktails and wine. Everything was excellent, including the very friendly service.
If you're looking for a great steakhouse in the city, then I highly recommend checking out Wolfgang's on Park Ave.
Best meat in town, great and efficient service, beautiful setting. The only caveat is that the dining room is noisy if you plan to have a quiet conversation with your dinning companions.
Outstanding in every way. The steak was as good as I've had. Ditto on the bacon. Not perfect but still good was the creamed spinach could have been more creamy and less salty. The brussel sprouts were not very tender and too big to absorb the subtle flavors imparted during cooking. Service was excellent and the room is a true knockout with arched tile ceilings and dark wood everywhere else.
I went there with my friends. Steak was incredible. All waiters were extremely friendly and professional. You can order anything in the menu, they are awesome.
You won't disappointed with this place.
GREAT place for those special occasions! Dry aged steaks, THICK cut, perfectly cooked rare, sides of grilled asparagus and lobster mac-n-cheese! All of it was incredible. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. Staff was attentive but not clingy or hovering. Every city I visit I choose one special place to eat an expensive meal and I was so glad this one nailed it. Thanks Wolfgang!!
