I've been here twice, and I would go back a million times. The place is a calm, simply decorated place in Eataly.
The service is flawless and the food is perfect. I am (totally) not a cheese-lover but I tried the Mozzarella and I 100% loved it. The "Farro E Funghi " is a weird but good "salad". The Penne Con Lenticchie was one of the best pastas I've ever eaten.
It is expensive, but it is worth it.
Excelente atendimento, comida saborosa, a bebida que eu pedi veio com muito gelo, tirando isso o lugar é ótimo, ambiente agradável, chef super cortes, foi bem bacana a experiência.
Located within Eataly, Manzo is quite a formal dining experience, but at times felt like we weren't welcomed (after only ordering a main to share).
The lobster pasta was very nice though and the flavours are enticing enough to want me to go back and try something more substantial.
I spent my Christmas dinner in this place and we were really impressed. The staff worked really fast and it was crowded.
The menu started with mozzarella cheese and olive oil. Generous, maybe too much, I couldn't finish the starter.
Then the pasta was glorious, really good, and the amount was just fine.
The dessert was incredible, a christmas tree ball-shaped mousse of chocolate with a layer of solid chocolate and some motives in white chocolate. Really good.
All of this in the company of Italian wine, wich was really good, but being chilean makes hard to me to find better wines abroad.
Really good experience, will probably come back the next time I find myself in NYC.
Worsted dining experience of my life. I just went to this restaurant and had one of the worst dining experiences of my life. The atmosphere is very loud and chaotic which can be okay for some people but there was way too many things going on at once. Feels like there's 1 million things flying over your head. Constantly have to move around for people because it's so crowded. There is a grocery store, butcher, a pizza restaurant and so much other things going on around you. But that's not the worst part the worst part to me what's the service I received at this restaurant. I ordered the New York strip steak and as you can see on the menu and it comes with the fingerling potatoes and other things instead of that I received three slices of some meat. It was about a centimeter in width and 2 inches in length. And NOTHING else. No fingerling potatoes, no ox tail anything, and obviously no New York strip steak. This was obviously not what I ordered. And on top of that two of the three slices of meat were burnt to a crisp. I don't even understand how it was able to leave the kitchen. When I brought it to the waiters attention he brought it to the manager and the manager instead of apologizing to me he actually had the guts to try to convince me how this three slices of meat was a New York strip steak. COMPLETELY INSULTING MY INTELLIGENCE. did I mention I still got NO APOLOGY! He asked me if I wanted to order something else and WALKED AWAY! Never came back to check on me. I of course did not order anything else because at that point I had no trust for these people. Long story short I would never put myself in such a position to willingly come back to this place for any reason at all. Everyone I know will know that this is the worst place in New York City to eat. Whoever owns this place should reconsider a large majority of their staff. End of story.
Manzo translates literally to “beef” and provides one of the more formal dining experiences at Eataly. I like to sit at the bar (can you see a common trend emerging here people) and chat to the friendly and knowledgable staff. My favourite dish on the menu is the linguine with lobster, tom
Eataly, the huge Italian Market in Flatiron, is perpetually crowded. There are several restaurants inside but the one which truly gives you a break from the mobs is Manzo, a beef focused restaurant with a long bar, white cloth tables, wonderful service and of course meat and everything to go with it.
Next, I had the delightful and fluffy Gnocchi with Spicy Tomato Sauce & Fresh Ricotta. They were truly little pillows of potato goodness and while I wished my portion was slightly bigger at first glance, after devouring the whole thing my stomach quickly filled.
It’s the fine dining, meat driven restaurant (Manzo=Beef in Italian) headed up by Babbo’s ex-sous chef, Michael Toscano and his wife Caitlin, who happens to be a friend of mine from our days managing at Del Posto together. They are so lovely and great at what they do. I didn’t tell Caitlin I was coming. I want
Il Manzo , a fine-dining Italian steakhouse, is one of the many restaurants in Eataly. Because I stopped by early, around noon, I managed to snag a table for lunch in under 10 minutes. To be honest, I wasn't very impressed with the food. Was it because I only ordered an antipasti and 1 primi dish instead of a $75 six-course tasting menu or a $65 five-course Ligurian menu? Well, for sure I did not have 2 hours for a lunch break, and I followed what our waitress recommended. Next time I know, come back for dinner. What I ordered: Carpaccio of Tenderloin with shaved parmigiano, lardo and olio toscano ($17) Tajarin Al Sugo D' Arrosto ($19.00) Carpaccio is a dish of raw meat sliced thin, or pounded, and served mainly as an appetizer. The carpaccio I ordered was definitely lacking something (or several things) - salt, texture, flavor. It seemed more like flavorless cold cuts. I'm a huge fan of carpaccio, and I've had much better elsewhere. Tajarin is a type of pasta prepared/most often eaten
Manzo means 'Beef' in Italian, so by the name & the logo, you can guess what's on the menu. Hurricane Irene had lots of people too scared to go out, so I was able to snag a seat at the bar.
In Italian, manzo means beef, so it's no great surprise that Manzo is the 'meats' restaurant at Batali and Bastianich's Flatiron Italian emporium Eataly. A part of the now-famous and unique Eataly set-up, where 12 petite restaurants each focus on a specific type of food, such as meat at Manzo, vegetables at Le Verdure, seafood at Il Pesce, and pastries at the Pasticceria, Manzo is the only of the individual eateries that a) has a more typical dining environment and b) takes reservations in advance (on OpenTable!). Tucked into a corner and protected from milling crowds and photo-snapping tourists by actual walls, Manzo is more like a typical restaurant than the other Eataly 'restaurants' that are generally open to the massive marketplace. Here, with a hostess manning the entrance, tourists rarely wander past your table, staring voyeur-esque into your plate of food (a strangely common experience at the other eateries), and there are tablecloths, suited waiters, leather-bound menus, all t

If you haven’t tried it yet, head to Manzo Ristorante, the only white tablecloth option in Eataly, the Italian mega market on 23 and Fifth. There you’ll find flavorful Italian specialties served by an attentive knowledgeable staff. We started with a baby wild arugula salad with sliced of Parmigiano Reggiano, drizzled with aceto balsamico ($15), and then shared, three primi courses. The Agnolotti with butternut squash, brown butter and sage ($25), the hearty (pictured) tortelloni with braised beef and brown beech mushrooms $20), and my favorite, the gnocchi with a spicy tomato sauce and fresh ricotta ($19). I recommend splitting two primi courses with a friend as they are each quite rich and hearty. If you’re a chocolate lover, do not miss the decadent Cioccolato (a three-layered chocolate dome covered in chocolate ganache) with Hazelnut Gelato ($11)! - bonnie Follow @BonnieBOTB Manzo Ristorante @ Eataly 200 5th Ave New York, NY 10010 (212) 229-2180 Add a comment
The food was great and the service decent. I had the 20oz aged ribeye and although it was very good it didn't leave me with any feeling that the cost made it much if any better from a nice non-aged ribeye somewhere else. The potatoes were crunchy and tasty although possibly on the salty side. One thing that I would go back for was a ball of mozzarella (or similar) cheese with olive oil, salt and pepper that was provided compliments of the chef. I'm not even sure if its on the menu, but if it's not it should be.
Delicious truffle cheese and scrumptious rib eye. Bread is a bit dry and balsamic vinegar wasn't served with it. Mains were delicious though. Yum!
Had their Pappardelle al Ragu di Manzo and it was delicious and filling! I like their bread’s crispy edges too.
Great place for lunch with fresh pasta and good wine. Best place for truffle lovers! The menu has a large selection of items, so there is something for everyone. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. We told him we had a limited amount of time, and he made sure we were able to keep our schedule.
Great restaurant and experience.
Tucked inside Eataly, visiting this restaurant gives you a good excuse to walk around the market.
All dishes are very tasty, everything we tried is well worth ordering again.
The appetizers are all good, plus a good selection of wine.
The cuts of meat and pastas are delicious, can’t go wrong with this place.
Absolutely fantastic! The Wagyu Denver steak is moderately sized (8oz) and was cooked perfectly, with excellent crust and pink medium rare interior. Extremely tasty even though this is not a highly marbled cut. Went very well with the Filari Lunghi Dolcetta d'Alba that the waitress suggested. Topped off with excellent desserts. The sizes here are reasonable so you can have a very nice meal and not feel totally stuffed.
Lastly the noise level is quiet! No overbearing music, and because the location is a huge Italian themed store, the restaurant is not reverberating with noise. Favorite restaurant in the Flatiron district.
Overall reasonably priced for the quality. A great choice for a splurge and you won't be disappointed.
The negative reviews we read before (especially about being rushed out) were worrying but we went for the tasting menu with wine pairings. It was wonderful. There were eight marvelous courses and each one was accompanied by a great Italian wine. The waiters were fine but the somelier was particularly helpful and nice. Not cheap, but this was worth every penny.
I can not say enough good things about my dining experience at Monzo in Eataly. The location at 23rd street and 5th ave was convenient. The ambiance was great. Service was impeccable. Drinks intoxicatingly delicious. The food cooked to perfection (steak ). I am sharing with my friends my experience and recommending they visit this establishment.
For their week menu deal was great , Dolcetto wine was great , food(Chicken , pasta with wild boar , Carne cruda and the squash !) and service great by both bartender/server, bus boy bar back and the food runner . And the Cioccolato dessert great !
What an amazing place to stop at while visiting New York! The staff was so kind, outgoing and polite. Gave great recommendations on wine, seafood and the bread with oil is TO DIE FOR! YUM! We had a bottle of the red Sangiovese, I recommend it 100%!!
It was a Tuesday night in Eataly. A friend and I were starving, and a little drunk. Every other restaurant was packed out. With 30 minutes until the end of the night cutoff, what did we do? Check Manzo. This place seems to get overlooked a lot, partly due to the price and partly because it's segregated from the rest of Eataly. Turns out that Manzo had 5-6 tables available and was able to seat us almost immediately. I actually expected it to be nicer in there. There is a little wood paneling, some white tablecloths, a little dimmer lighting, but otherwise you have the same warehouse-ey ceiling. They should take a cue from the Arthur Ave retail market and hang some paintings on the beams or something. Our server was great, and I don't normally say that about servers. She was pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient. Clearly, Eataly saves its best for Manzo, and this is mostly the case with the food too.
I got a glass of Baladin Nora, which is an Italian beer which the brewer named for his wife. It's one of the top ranked spiced ales in the world, and it lived up to the hype. It was also versatile, and paired with both of my courses as well as I hoped it would. The foie gras and oxtail agnolotti with broccoli rabe I got for my first course was ridiculous. If you're up for a dish that is incredibly rich, inventive, and worth the high prices, this is it. The fattiness of the goose live and the oxtail meld together perfect, with a very light cream sauce and small pieces of bitter broccoli rabe to give some variety. By far the best dish I've ever had at a Batali restaurant. My friend got the gnocchi with spicy tomato sauce, which was good but not all that remarkable. For my main, I got a veal special that came medium rare with sweetbreads and corn. The veal was perfectly cooked with a charred outside, but wasn't quite as flavorful as it could've been. It was a high quality cut, but it didn't blow me away. There were only 3 sweetbreads but they were very tasty, and they went well with the corn. This dish was good, but it was more the speed that I'm used to with Batali: a high quality dish that is a bit small and pricey.
If price isn't a concern, then Manzo would be my choice every time for Eataly. I don't get many dishes a year that are as good as that agnolotti. It may sicken me a bit for Batali's pompous, croc-wearing self to make the cut, but this meal will probably go down as one of my best of the year. Then again, Manzo earned it, as everything from start to finish was great. I will be back to try some other second courses next time I have the financial flexibility.
Aperol Affumicato looks fancy for making it but it tastes bitter & nothing is special ; however, half roast duck & ribeye (20oz) are awesome. The steak is so tender, juicy & flavored. It’s just melting in your mouth. The duck is fresh, juicy, tender & flavorful too. Make sure you try these 2 dishes. It’s not too expensive compared with other restaurants in Manhattan
Fine dining at Eataly. Reservations are mandatory and sometimes difficult to get. But well worthwhile. We highly recommend it. As we have eaten there several times and thoroughly enjoyed it each time.

Manager William was amazing. We had a problem with the salad and the waitress and he addressed this immediately and gave us complimentary desert drinks. Thanks so much. Great service and food.!
