Dropped by for lunch on our last day in NYC and the sandwiches we had were superb with super friendly and helpful service from the waiter. The "chicken" milanese is really recommended and the juices are also really tasty. Definitely recommend a visit and great for us UK vegans to have so much choice!!
It's is heaven for vegetarian people in nolita .food looks awesome if I have doller like bill gates I would love to buy this place ...jokes apart I ordered hot chocolate and I loved it ....every vegetarian should try this place
Curiosity was too much to pass by and do not to enter. The food looked all so good that I could try everything. But the space was full and I was with a little bit of hurry. So I just bought a hot chocolate to go, made with true cacau and it was amazing. The price is ok.
New York has really impressed me with how much variety they have for us vegetarians and vegans ā and Butcherās Daughter had to be added to my recommendations. This a cute vegetarian cafĆ© which is a great shout for a quick lunch or snack whilst youāre out and about in New York. We went during the week so were able to get a table fairly easily without making any prior bookings. They have a beautiful rustic interior, but if the weather allows, Iād suggest eating outside as it is a great spot for some people watching.
The Butcherās Daughter (Nolita) is a plant based restaurant, cafe and juice bar founded by designer Heather Tierney, who was inspired to open a plant based cafe while coming up with ideas for exotic cocktails for ApothĆ©ke, her cocktail bar in New Yorkās Chinatown.
Overdue from my list, and then debating if I should go there or not, I strolled past their Carmine street location which looked so pretty. Yes, pretty. Thatās when I decided that I will visit them. And the stickler or the funny or odd or strange person that I am, I have to go to the original place first, if possible.
Really nice decor with a cozy feel for the small coffee shop. Absolutely loved the interesting variety of food and drinks. Thoroughly enjoyed the matcha latte and was an overall great experience. Would recommend!
I had heard great things about Butcher's Daughter from friends and I was overly excited to try it out. I had the Kale Caesar Salad which was absolutely delicious - I wish I could learn how to recreate it at home. The only downfall I would pick is that the service wasn't great. Overall in New York we had great customer service, but here they just weren't as friendly and definitely not very attentive which is a shame!
Back at The Butcherās Daughter again! We got the last outdoor table available, and the weather was perfect for al fresco dining. Hurray! John and JS both ordered The Butcherās Burger ($17). Itās a veggie black bean burger with cashew cheddar and harissa mayo on a brioche bun. Served with roasted potato wedges on the side. Looks amazing. The black bean patty really dominates in this burger!
John and I both ordered the South Hampton Double White Ale ($8), which was a lovely beer for summer sipping. I ordered the Tagliatelle Bolognese ($17), which was a healthy meatless take on bolognese sauce. There was no actual pasta here, just wide ribbons of fresh zucchini and carrot. Iām sure that upsets pasta purists, but this was great in the summer heat. The black bean and tomato bolognese was surprisingly meaty and filling.
Dianneās entree, the Angel Hair Carbonara ($18) was the prettiest of all. Thinly shredded spaghetti squash, black pepper, cashew ricotta, arugula, tomatoes, and breadcrumbs. This is a low calorie, guilt free version of your classic carbonara with eggs, cheese, and bacon. I think Iāll be ordering this colorful dish on my next visit.
Donāt be fooled by the nameā¦ the butcherās daughter, sheās vegetarian! Located in Nolita, The Butcherās Daughter describes itself as a āvegetable slaughter houseā where fruits and veggies are always the star of the show. This space is one of the loveliest cafes Iāve come across. Concrete floors, industrial accents, farmhouse tables, potted plants, and a refreshing brightness. Iām in love with the pop of vibrant yellow that creates a certain ooh la la! We were seated inside at the long wooden table.
I had read somewhere that the Watermelon Ricotta Salad ($14) is a must order dish, so that was my pick of the three dishes. Spinach, watermelon cubes, cashew ricotta, black pepper, and date vinaigrette. Delicious and refreshing. Itās basically summertime in a bowl. Our third dish was their vegan take on a Vietnamese Banh Mi ($13) sandwich. Toasted baguette with mushroom pate, seared cauliflower, pickled daikon radish, cucumber, cilantro, and harissa mayo. A big thank you to Kunal for being our official sandwich cutter as the baguette was pretty tough. Who needs meat in your banh mi when youāve got this delicious mushroom pate and cauliflower sandwich?!
Went here for brunch a few weeks ago & absolutely loved it! The restaurant is adorable & their menu is full of in-season vegetarian fare. I tried their avocado toast, a PB banana almond milk smoothie, + adzuki bean bacon just because it was something I'd never tried before. Everything was delicious, the service was great, and we sat outside in their cute outdoor patio setup. Would 100% visit there again!
One of my favorite places for breakfast + brunch in the city! The Smashed Avocado Toast & Spicy Kale Salad are absolutely delicious. Don't leave without trying the juice (I recommend the Orange flavor!).
I wish I had time to really sit down and eat here but I was on the go and needed something quick to cool me down. Then I saw they had Popsicles and these are not your kid-friendly ones either!! I really wanted the Pimm's but they were all out (it must be a favorite) so I opted for a strawberry margarita flavor. I don't know if the euphoria I felt was from my buzz or the fact that I now felt somewhat hydrated afterwards but either way I inspired me to make my own booze pops in the future.

I'm in love!. The the food, the philosophy, the staff and that name are all perfection. After sampling their cashew milk (made in house) latte on one of my first days in NYC I went back every day thereafter to get another one because it was that good. The food was also to die for. Healthy, dairy free and vegetarian. I wish this place was around the corner from my place in Australia!
Nice breakfast place for people who like it different. Enjoyed the gluten free options. The granola with coconut yoghurt and fresh fruit is a must.
Great vegan food with great drinks. It's pretty empty for a weekend. There are no lines & no waiting time. Staff are friendly, and the service was quick. Outdoor and in door seating. A little bit expensive for the style of food they are serving but your paying city prices.
The outdoor area is a very sweet brunch place at Bowery. It's pleasant to sit outside, but we were a little uncomfortable with flies and bees because of the flowers.
Our order was egg sandwich. It was good, but I was not WOW.
In the B.L.A.T mustard flavor was overwhelming and little š¶ļø than I expected.
It's a good thing that the order came fast, but when it arrived in 3 minutes, I had to deduct some points because it felt like it was ready beforehand.
The fact that everything is made from vegan products is a detail related to the place š±
We preferred SEXY ROSE' SANGRIA CARAFE, but I would say there was no alcohol š„²
If you are vegan, you can go if you are looking for a sweet brunch place, but it would be a lie if I say that everything is perfect.
Came in randomly escaping random NYC rain pour and sat down to buy a nice latte. I decided that I should get food to eat and Iām so glad I did. The waiter Ryan helped me choose a delicious latte and a dish off the brunch menu. Everything was perfect. I will be returning. Iām so happy I found this yummy vegan spot. š±ā¤ļøāŗļø
Decided to grab breakfast while staying at the Moxy like 2 blocks away, and it did not disappoint! I had The Best Egg sandwich, home fries and a latte from their brunch menu. The sandwich was delicious and the orders came pretty quickly. Def on the pricier end (over $30 ) but the food was good. Good place for a quick bite in the area.
Nice little local serving vegetarian plates.
Got the Crab Cake Benedict egg and the quinoa base is very well-seasoned and flavorful. Egg is cooked a bit over but overall it is fine.
My friend had the burger and she said it is good, in terms of a veggie burger.
The horseradish-cashew ricotta in mushroom and asparagus is very unique and tasty. Recommend that.
It was OK. Wasnāt the best brunch/breakfast or the worst by any means, it wouldnāt be my first choice to come here. We got the Egg Sandwich, Country Breakfast and Banana Bread. Went during midweek and not busy at all. Service was quick and great for our experience.
THE BEST MEAL OF NYC! We were in the city for 5 days, many glorious meals but this takes the cake. Food is SO FRESH, so delicious. Such a nice variety of options, you can enjoy healthy lighter meals or heavier treat veg meals. I was tempted to try the loaded vegan espresso banana bread but ended up doing the Kale Almond Caesar + Scrambled Tofu on top. Sour Dough Toast with veeg butter on the side. Washed down with an Iced Matcha. I was almost moaning out loud, food was so fresh and flavorful. Service was incredible. Love the vibe at this location, fun bar stools facing out to the street plus a cozy patio. Sincerely perfect experience. Will def be back everytime I travel to a city you're in!
Nice place in soho.
Good food, but not exceptional (avocado toast, for example, is a little bit bitter).
Good service and good prices.
Great food, honestly surpassed my expectations! Everything had a great flavor and did not disappoint. Service was quick and made sure to note our dietary restrictions.
Just wish we didnāt feel cramped in the space.
I love that itās vegetarian focused, and the breakfast hit the spot. Wouldnāt say it was great though. The seating is very cramped, and our table felt really unstable. The country breakfast is good, but regretted not opting for one of the bowls.
Some of the food items were really good, the brass monkey smoothie was delicious. Also the butchers pancakes are recommended.
The rest was okay but nothing special, the country breakfast tomato and potatoes had little flavor.
The Chai tea was also good!
Service was good but a bit slow but unsurprisingly since there seemed to be very little staff.
Cool, simple, and fresh feels! The waiting is not too bad. The workers are slightly present.
Pros: Fresh juices and a wideeee set of drink options. All of the food tasted freshly made.
Cons: Once seated it took a while to order drinks. The specialty bakery goods have a unique flavors but are a bit tough and dry. Ran out of cups but not a crime. Overpriced. They charged $2 extra each for the sauce and avocado. The Table server was rarely there to place order or pay the bill.
Overall this is a great place to catch up with friends or enjoy a solo meal with time to kill and don't need a server.
Went here for a late dinner and had a nice experience. The drinks seem to be wine based so keep that in mind if you're looking for an alcoholic beverage. I got the margarita which was good I wasn't a fan of the spicey salted rim though. We got the buratta and cauliflower cacio e pepe. Both were very good. I got the green coconut curry for my meal which was good but I wasn't super impressed. Part of it was the seasonable vegetables were eggplant which I'm ehh on and then broccoli and cauliflower which is okay but felt like I was eating a lot of the same thing. I tried a bite of one of the burgers and that was tasty I would've enjoyed having that more I think. Overall nice experience and the flavors were good too!
Awesome restaurant with breakfast and lunch options. The staff were super nice. And the food was just perfect. We had the loaded banana bread (comes with a caramelized banana half!), the mock tuna sandwich and the mock crab cakes. All delicious. I must say, though, it was the juice that blew me away the most. Excellent place for vegan breakfast or vegan brunch!
3.5āļø Gourmet health foodā¦ honestly Iād give 3.5 stars but am rounding up because the food was really good for what it is. The problem is seatingā¦terrible seatingā¦.Very cramped to the point of claustrophobic. Otherwise great healthy options. The juice shots were amazing!!
