Have been here many times, with small parties or big parties, and the staff and food have always been amazing! This visit, there were nine of us reuniting from high school, we kept changing seats to talk to each other, they never put up a stink. The food was delicious and hot! The wine and other drinks were flowing at our request! Our server, Asaf, who has been there for a significant amount of time, was fantastic as always! His recommendations are always on point!

I spontaneously bought a ticket to a Broadway yesterday and then needed to find a place for dinner. I wandered away from the crowds and chain restaurants and found this gem. My waiter was kind and attentive, the food delicious.

Don Giovani Was excellente! We went to dinner after Broadway show Ftozen. The server was always smiling, the decor was so authentic Italiano! The spaghetti and meatballs were delicious and our pizza was sooo tasty! I had a glass of the house Cabernet. It was so good I finished it early and almost ordered a second. Next time I’m gonna try their own brand of red!

Thank you for the great hospitality from everyone at Don Giovanni's on 44th last night as they opened their doors to a large group of hungry Canadians and didn't disappoint. Great food, drinks and amazing old school New York feel. Can't wait to return. Thank you again so much for making our night.

This place has a good reputation for a reason. The sauce with the calamari was superb. Pasta and sauce were delicious. The service was fast and extremely nice people. The drinks had a very good amount of alcohol.

Great food and portions and family friendly. Gnocchi and cheese ravioli were great. The brushetta was okay. We had various dishes and it was all very good. Reasonably priced and service was good. The decor is welcoming and it used to be an Improv-comedy club with well known acts!

I went to this place alone 2 nights in a row. First night for a pasta and drink and 2nd for the tiramisu which I was too full to eat the previous day. I was welcomed by this friendly gentleman who sat me down and gave me time to look through the menu. I couldn't decide what to eat except I really wanted to eat pasta and he asked me what kind of sauce I liked. He recommended me something (chicken francese topped with pasta) that I have never eaten before and I love it! The chicken was tender and the lemon butter wine sauce (I think) was flavourful and delicious. The pink gin was nicely done and they were definitely not stingy with the alcohol. Also my first time. 2nd night I was there, the same gentleman (sorry that I didn't get his name) recommended me to get an espresso martini which would go well with the tiramisu. It did! If I am in New York long term, I will be sure to make this my regular go to place. Till my next visit to this country!

Best ever! I will definitely come back next time I visit NYC. Had a small size pear / fig /arugula / goat cheese pizza with a house salad, 1/2 carafe of Sangria with my partner and it was the perfect amount for us without having to take leftovers.

Amazing restaurant! My wife fancied pasta and we happened to walk past so went in. The food was absolutely amazing! Fresh and well prepared, we haven’t stopped talking about it! Service was equally amazing, everyone was super friendly! Will happily recommend! EDIT: In response to the owners question, we ordered the Pepperoni Pizza, the Carbonara, Pasta with Chicken in tomato sauce and the House Salad! Tasted fantastic! Not normally one for taking food pictures but felt obliged too on this occasion!

Dinner here was the highlight of our trip. Best cheese tortellini I've ever had in my life. Small intimate dining room with live music.

When they say they are the best brick oven pizza in NY I’d have to agree. The pizza was so good. Lightly sauce and the taste of the cheese and toppings come through and not drowned in sauce. Their fried calamari was light and crispy, well seasoned and the marinara they serve it with is so good. The Tiramisu was a bit hard not what I’m used to I think if the lady fingers were soaked in espresso for a bit long to bring that taste out it would be very good. Over all everything was wonderful, good atmosphere with a live music singer and apparently this place used to have live improv with some really famous actors doing improv from 1963-1993. Wonderful place for good pizza and Italian food

I wasn’t sure if the food would be good but I was impressed. Got there early to make sure I didn’t have to wait. Upon sitting the staff is ready to serve. After a few minutes the wine comes. The linguine pesto w chicken. The flavor is in the noodles too and the chicken was perfect. The garlic knots. It’s not over powering but the texture of the bread with the fried garlic was delicious. Had to end the meal with a lemon chello for digestion ….. ahhhh

This place has been here forever. I haven't been here in probably twenty years. Service was a lot slower than I remember, but the food was still really good. Maybe just an off night, I'd be willing to try again.

We had a great meal at Don Giovanni. The pizza, salads, and pasta were all very tasty, with good-sized portions. Nina, our waitress, took good care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. I strongly recommend making a reservation if you can, since almost all tables were reserved when we came so there wasn’t a lot of room for walk-ups.

Very good Italian food at reasonable prices. I like the polenta and sautéed spinach And all of their tasty soups Their Sauce makes any pasta dishes great. I eat here every time I’m in the neighborhood, usually for a show. this is one of the few places where my born-in-Italy girlfriend will eat.
