Just checked out Norma's for the first time and wow was I impressed. I was waited on by Orlando, who is absolutely phenomenal. I wanted the blueberry pancakes and duck hash. He gave me a half order of each. The Blueberry Pancakes are one of the best I've ever had. The duck hash is on another level. It is served in a skillet and comes with hash browns onions and a sunny side up egg. Holy Cow. Or Holy Duck. Norma's is definitely one of the best breakfast spots in the city. The service and food should be 10 stars. Great job Orlando. Thanks
Norma's is a must for me every time I visit NYC. I have never had a bad meal here. Service has always been very good too. It is pricey but with the portion sizes and quality of food, it is well worth it.
Breakfast was amazing, the service excellent, the drinks amazing, and the place clean. I would recommend it to everyone. The prices were a bit high ($150 / 2 persons) but considering the quality and taste of the food it was worth it.
If I could give it ten Stars I would. Incredible service and amazing food ... a must-try when you're in New York the best brunch we have ever had hands down. Every time we return to New York City we will definitely be back
There is nothing bad to say about the food, menu and service at Norma's - you are in for a treat in all of these areas. It's pricey but worth it, and there's nothing like the Parker Meridien lobby! Best to have a reservation, but we had one and they asked us to wait downstairs and then proceeded to "forget" about us so stay by the welcome desk and you should be fine.
Incredible service and amazing food ... a must-try when you're in New York the best brunch we have ever had...cheers
It’s my favorite place for bring hands down in NYC! I give this place five stars
I've been here twice now in NYC.. my friend that introduced me to Norma's has been several times. There are seriously to die for breakfasts. I asked the waiter what's his favorite menu item he had two buckets, savory or sweet, so we ordered one of each and was not disappointed! The waiter was a doll too.. wants to run for president
I didn’t order French toast, and I regret it. I always hesitate before going sweet at breakfast time, and because of this, Melinda won brunch wars with her berry French toast. The slab of brioche this dish was centered around was roughly the size of Queens, and while the flavor was rich, it wasn’t heavy at all. Raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries were strewn all over the place, and yet, the sweetness was kept at bay to stunning effect. It was epic and delicious - basically the epitome of what French toast should be.
I asked our lovely waiter if I should get the foie gras French toast or the artichoke benedict, and he steered me wrong. You know, he was a slim fellow and I should have been smart enough not to trust a skinny. The truffle porcini sauce on top of my eggs and pile of vegetables was delectable – silky and sexy, with all the umami flavor mushrooms should bring to the party. But it was completely thinned out by poached eggs, artichoke hearts that weren’t very well trimmed (I got a couple bites of choke), and a moat of sauteed bell peppers and small diced potatoes with no seasoning on them.
This dish needed texture, it needed seasoning, and most of all, it needed a carbohydrate vessel worthy of soaking up the masterful sauce. An artichoke heart is not an English muffin, Norma. It’s not even a piece of toast. And a tiny diced potato with no seasoning and no caramelization is just sad. I know this breakfast emporium has better dishes, and I felt gypped by this one.
Had a spectacular breakfast here. Had the chocolate infused French Toast. Probably not the healthiest choice but you only live once. The rest of the menu's offerings seemed equally delightful. Preferably make a booking. A once in a life time experience.
Quality and service was great. Waffle was crispy not too sweet and covered in fresh berries and whipped cream. We also shared a wonderful eggs Benedict. The only reason it's not 5* rating is the cost. Even with the understanding this was New York it was just severely overpriced.
This is a must visit and eat at kind of place.
The service was wonderful.
Our waiter, Robert, was a splendid help and persona to have.
The food was gorgeous! We all ordered individual meals and added a caramel French toast as a sharing meal.
I ordered the ancient five grain granola which was certainly a first.
If you're looking for a great meal, healthy or unhealthy, and don't mind having a bit of a food baby for some hours of your day, this is the place to go!
Thank you, Norma's staff, for accommodating us and our hungry bellies!
Right on Le Parker Meridien Hotel, this nice restaurant offers preparations with a mexican edge.
Superb service but a bit slow. Great overall products and preparations, with large servings.
We ordered Norma's Very Own Granola, Two Srambled Eggs with Multigrain Bread,
San Benedicto Poblano. Coffee and Orange Juice.
Highly recomended!
Can't emphasize enough on how good the breakfast is at Norma's! Their Upstream Eggs Benedict with salmon is absolutely delicious. I wanted to try their french toast and got a bit confused on which one to order since they all seem mouthwatering. After a battle, I finally decided on trying the Donut Even Go There! My oh my, this french toast is TO DIE FOR. No words can express how good this french toast is!
The service is fantastic, attentive, talkative. Something I was yet to find in New York as most places just serve you your food and leave you to it. My waiter helped me pick between meals and had great knowledge of the menu. Meals were large and flavoursome with a interesting twist on each dish. Definitely returning
Norma's is one of those corporate hidden gems. Totally the go to for the local business men and quaint breakfast meetings. When you sit down, there are complimentary smoothie shots waiting for you--automatically starting off your meal on a fab note. The staff was very much attentive both times I've eaten there for breakfast. My favorites for sure are their Breakfast Pizza (who knew that was even a thing) and the Crunchy French Toast, again like nothing I've ever had. The portions are very generous so you're absolutely getting what you pay for. Definitely come hungry and with a fat stack of cash!
I was told that brunch at Norma's at Le Parker Meridien is thing to do while in NYC. We dined with some friends and got to experience a fairly extravagant brunch. I did pay $20 for a smoked fish bagel the day before but somehow paying in the $30 range for any egg dish seemed outright crazy. The $9 unlimited fresh orange juice was not bad considering one large glass cost me $5.50 at a deli. The juice is absolutely delicious and worth it; much better than the unlimited coffee which had a fruity yet bitter aftertaste to it. They do serve you a complimentary shot glass of their daily juice which was a nice touch.
My $31 upstream eggs Benedict was two perfectly poached eggs with a nice hollandaise sauce on top of a pancake and served with a generous side of smoked salmon and some roasted baby potatoes. The dish was very good but very pricey.
Also tried their super blueberry pancakes which were two very large and very berry pancakes served with Devonshire cream. Very good pancake but it was also a $30 pancake.
The room is not that large and is packed with diners and can be quite loud. Service was nice though food service wasn't that quick. Overall, it's a fancy brunch place that serves up good brunch items but the price can be off putting since it's double the price of other brunch places. But this is the place that offers the $1000 lobster frittata with real caviar.
Loved it so much that I actually went back another time. Can you believe it? 2 times in the same restaurant in NYC. Blueberry pancakes, Belgian waffles and Crunchy French Toast are all to try! Loved their healthy pineapple shots and their floor clock! A must do
Although it’s been a year since I took my best friend to Norma’s to celebrate a milestone in her journey to becoming a doctor, I have thought about returning to this place many a time; particularly to bring my b., who adores orange juice and drinks it as though it were free flowing out of the faucets, and who would certainly appreciate the tall and very freshly squeezed glasses of juice at Norma’s.

Normas was a place highly recommended for breakfast at NYC.
And i have to agree. The food was amazing, with a great quality and presentation.
It isn't cheap but worths a visit. The negative side of it was the service.
Not pleasant at all, and shocks me when the waiter shows pride of it.
This was highly recommended as one of the best breakfast spots in NYC and it certainly didn't disappoint! Both the sweet and savoury options were great and the fresh orange juice was amazing! Went on my next two visits and can't wait to go back!
Norma's came highly recommended from friends so it was a must try on our trip to NYC. Located within the Le Parker Meridien, I highly recommend booking a few days in advance as this place constantly busy, and understandingly so.
From the time we were seated until the time we left we were waited on hand and foot ensuring sure we had a pleasant and memorable experience.
We ordered the SCRAMBLED EGGS AND BACON BREAKFAST QUESADILLA with monterey jack cheese, guacamole and salsa, the NUTELLA PACKED JACKS topped with pineapple chunks and raspberries and lastly the NORMA'S EGGS BENEDICT - buttermilk pancake layered with Canadian bacon and grilled asparagus. The food was faultless.
The food was so good I tried to persuade my brother to visit the Norma's in Palm Springs when we were there recently but we ended up going elsewhere.
It is definitely worth the money! Cannot wait to go back.
Breakfast for Kings. Probably one of the most expensive breakfast place I've ever eaten at. My total bill was ~$50 (including tip).
Don’t get me wrong it has great service and good breakfast and it’s worth while doing it once per trip!
World's Best Breakfast (at a price). This was our family's breakfast splurge during our recent trip to NYC. We knew up front of the exorbitant menu prices, but believed the hype on various reviewer websites. We made reservations on OpenTable.com, which saved us a long wait. It was packed and crazy busy. The maître d' was a bit stuffy, but the experience thereafter was truly memorable. Ambiance was modern but not cold or clinical--it was modern and "warm", for lack of better terms. Busy, busy, busy but not too loud. Our waitress was super fast, friendly, and flat our gracious. The French press coffee was strong, tasty, and had no hint of bitterness--amongst the best non-espresso coffee's I've tasted. The freshly squeezed OJ, although truly overpriced was heavenly. We all ordered different dishes and each of us was very pleased. The presentation of the Super Moist French Toast, Stuffed French Test, and others was top-notch. We all agreed that our breakfasts were the best we had eaten ANYWHERE--and we are b-fast fanatics. This is BREAKFAST HEAVEN. Unfortunately, at $220 for a family of 4, it will have to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. OVERALL: PHENOMENAL. MUST TRY (once).
The Absolute Best Part Of Waking Up.... The best part of waking up is Norma's in your cup and on your dish. By far this is the most phenomenal breakfast you will ever eat in your whole life. Norma's is far from the usual eggs and toast. It takes breakfast to an entirely different level. You have to enjoy food and eating to appreciate Norma's. If you don't value food do not go here you will not find it to be an experience.
I ordered the savory... The Artychoked Benedict. Words cannot explain the flavor. It was so decedent and delicious that I couldn't even speak to my husband while eating. The egg is a little piece of sunshine laying up ontop of an artichoke heart which sits on a bed of spinach and fingerling potatoes topped with a truffle porcini sauce...the flavor is so deep and ongoing from bite to bite. I am sure the calories were not figure friendly but it was so worth it!
My husband ordered the sweeter side of the breakfast...Mango-Papaya Brown Butter Cinnamon Crêpes. This dish was nothing short of a work of art. The presentation was the most beautiful dish we have ever seen. It is two perfect crepes side by side garnished with an Orchid. The flavor is also nothing short of superb. The crepes are thin and made to perfection. The inside goodness is sweet and balanced. A little extra time on the treadmill is so worth it for these crepes.
Breakfast at Norma's is nothing short of perfect. It must be experienced as often as you can afford it. Breakfast is on the more expensive side but the splurge can be easily justified.
Go to Norma's and ENJOY!
Well worth the wait! The menu is FILLED with options, sweet and salty. Prices were high but portions were big enough to split. The hotel has a fantastic cafe to have a coffee while you wait... Will definitely come back!
I went to Breakfast at Norma's and fell in love with the cheddar cheese eggs with pepper bacon and potatoes!!! Can't get enough would definitely recommend it to my friends. Great waiters, great service, I feel like family.
Amazing!. It is not just the huge servings that are mind boggling, but the food is so delicious! Huge serves of pancakes with cream, super thick cut french toast drizzled in syrup and rich tasting omelettes - Norma's has it all!
I Love It!!!. Any chance I get, I come here for breakfast. The staff are wonderful & the food is amazing!
First breakfast in NYC. Had my first ever breakfast in NYC here. The food was good the people helpful. A great menu and plenty of selections to choose. Will return next trip to NYC
Holy Moly!!. A decadent NYC AM treat, chocolate french toast?...there are no words...
Norma's is an unbelievable fine dining brunch experience. That is all.
Great Breakfast. Expensive, rather normal for NYC...everything is over the top====expecially the wait! We waited for 1 hour to be seated, then another 45 minutes to be served. Would I wait again -- no, unless the wait was under 15 minutes. To date it is the best Breakfast/Brunch in the city that I have experienced.
Expensive but worth it.... Ok so yes, it is expensive, especially for breakfast but I've eaten here a few times, with my children (and from the outside it doesn't look kid-friendly but it is) and I have never been disappointed. It is also noisy and the atmosphere is a bit odd just because they are mixing styles but still, the food, the food, the food.
Breakfast Valhalla!!. OK, plan on spending $30 per person for breakfast. But oh what a breakfast. From the waffle covered in a pound of fruit (yes, it’s that big) with maple syrup to the Huevos Ranchero, you will be in gourmand heaven! Did I mention the bottomless fresh oj??
The best french toast I have ever had – the thing doesn’t even taste like french toast, more like bread pudding. The place also has at least 5 other similarly creatively named french toasts including the Donut Even Go There French Toast (yeah, I believed them, so I didn’t), the Super Cheesy French Toast, the Chocolate Decadence French Toast, the Crunchy French Toast, and the Foie Gras Brioche French Toast (I said they were creative).
I describe Norma’s food as “foodie hangover” food. It’s all delicious, and all decadent. The meal starts with a yummy shot size smoothie, compliments of the chef. Then fresh squeezed orange juice and a french press coffee pot gloriously placed on the table. I got the Light and Lemony Griddle Cakes. Don’t let the name fool you, its a marscarpone pancake toppe
Applewood smoked bacon burger…at $22.00 kind of pricey for a burger !! the smokey flavor of the bacon and the firm, yet softness of the bun was at first worth the $22.00
However, it is arguably (and winning 9 times out of 10) the finest brunch in town. Open until 3pm every day, Norma’s is strictly brunch, but no one’s complaining with menu items like the Waz-Za waffle, a decadent waff
It is definitely pricey, BUT the plates are huge so great brunch for 2 is just: 1 main course and 1 portion for dessert. Don't take more - you will not make it:) Very intelligent and nice staff, delicious food and good coffee. Worth walking 15 minutes if you are in the area. Also, one of the few spots close to Central Park - and not over-crowded, which saves you time and mood in the morning :)
Bucket list menu items abound at Normas, the most high end diner ever. I went simple with the Papaya Mango Brown Butter Cinnamon crepes which is like a mango cobbler. So good. Portions are huge and reservations are a must, but absolutely worth a visit. Next time I want to come with a group so I can try everything. Note: their prices have increased substantially (and in some cases doubled) so be prepared to drop some coin.
Massive breakfasts served here! Service was attentive and our breakfast was very good. I had their cheesecake stuffed French toast and my husband had the brisket and cornbread dish. The French toast was delicious, but very sweet. My husband really enjoyed his meal. I like their creative options and will be back to try more.
This place was pricey, but the food did not disappoint! Our table had a good representation of the menu between four of us. I had the breakfast quesadilla and it was INCREDIBLE! It was like an eclectic stoner with a culinary degree dreamt it up and put it on my plate.... actually that’s pretty much sums up their entire menu. Everything is gorgeously plated and equally delicious. Did I mention that was have bottomless fresh squeezed OJ?!
3 stars for service, 4-5 for food. Being out of towners who are used to extraordinary environs and service when exposed to posh prices, we had higher expectations than what was served up. Service was initially quite slow and we waited nearly half an hour to get water glasses filled and when my husband expressed dissatisfaction with his mocha (which tasted to me also very much like a straight strong cappuccino rather than a mocha) was informed that this indeed was a mocha rather than a simple recognition that chocolate may have been lacking in the drink. The new mocha we got was good, though. The settings are simple, very diner style, and we received little guidance on taste profiles of dishes prior to ordering. The Artychokes dish was standout good, well worth the wait. Very tasty and Inventive with flavorful ingredients. The Berry brioche French toast was gorgeous but typical in terms of flavor and I would have preferred fresh berries this season rather than warm compote. Overall standard fare and experience intended for the very rich with prices that will keep out the Proletariat.
Fabulous place to get breakfast! Yes, it’s pricey but not really much more than the rest of the Brunches in the city and portions are huge! The banana macadamia pancakes were incredible- highly recommend them!
Central location, interesting brunch menu, most of the dishes we ordered were quite tasty. Service could do with an upgrade. Not inexpensive but worth it.
Great brunch place for friends hangout. I had Norma's egg Benedict and my friend tried egg Benedict with salmon. They both were good. Eggs on a small cute pancake.
Environment is awesome. And location is the key. Walkable to many landmarks.
The best breakfast that I have ever eaten! We were four people and shared all the meals. We could not stop eating the risotto, all four of us like this the best. The quesadilla omelet was fantastic. Normas yaku was really tasty and had a fishy and shrimp taste. The chicken and mushroom omelet was also good. Also, the French press coffee, orange juice and the juice shot was really good. Staff was very friendly. All in all it was delicious!
I can’t describe how delicious was this dish, just try to imagine the combination of Pancakes and Egg Benedict. It was beyond perfect, I enjoyed every bite of it. I would totally come back to NYC just to have my breakfast here. Waiter was so nice, everything about this place was on point👍👍
I ordered the eggs Benedict with salmon. A fresh orange juice and coffee. The food tastes amazing. We didn't have reservation when we went but was still accommodated. Staff are friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend this place.
Incredible menu with Sweet and Savoury dishes! A great place for brunch with lively atmosphere and great service. The macadamia nut pancakes were outstanding. Everyone around us had excellent looking food too!
Norma's has been a Midtown brunch staple for a long time. They've recently added a few new dishes to spruce up the menu. You can make reservations, though on a recent Saturday morning we were seated without reservations within 15 minutes (I don't recommend this for large groups, though). The food is definitely on the pricey side, but it lines up with similar Midtown options. Norma's isn't terribly exciting, but it's reliable. It's a good place to take your parents.
This is my favorite breakfast place in New York City. Some of the same staff has worked there for the 10 or 15 years I’ve been going there
Top breakfast in NYc whenever i visit its my first stop 😍 delicious food and always good quality! They have the best crunchy french toast in town
