Gaby's Restaurant is the best. It has a small town atmosphere with excellent attentive waiters.
You'd think you were in a quaint village in France
Right in bustling Times Sq theatre didtrict!
The food is good and the coffee delicious, but the service is the best I had on my trip to New York. My congratulations to the waiters.
Awesome food and awesome staff. Portions were rather large for my liking, but aside from that got the full French experience.
Working in midtown it is virtually impossible to find an excellent and quiet place for a business breakfast, lunch, afternoon coffee, or cocktails, yet here they are all wrapped into one! Love, love, love it is my go-to! Plus you get a flavor of Paris with the morning Croissants, French newspapers and excellent champagne by the glass.
Gaby's is an incredible French Restaurant. Located right in the heart of New York City's Times Square and with the Utmost Unsurpassable SERVICE!! I originally wanted to book my 40TH Birthday Dinner here but they were under renovations. My friends and I looked for other restaurants touring NYC for hours on end. I was not happy with any other place. I am so fortunate that Gaby's completed there renovations just in Tim for my 40TH Birthday Dinner!! The service provided by the staff was TOP NOTCH...
Timothy booked my reservation and was incredibly sweet and cooperative.
Chris the Manager was very easy to talk to
Teresa was welcoming
Leo serviced our 12 Ladies dinner and everyone was raving about HIM!!!
Ashraf was an amazing waiter to; he even let my aunt Pray in a private area.
My Entire Party was talking about Gaby's the entire evening and even the next day!!
I AM 500% happy wth my choice.
THANK YOU GABY'S!!
C U SOON!!
Very Truly Yours,
ANEELA K.
The atmosphere is very modern which is nice. The Hostess was very courteous and inviting. But when we were greeted by the waiter he was taken back that we didn't have a voucher. He hesitated and so I told him we had something better it was called money.
He then took our drink order. And showed my friend to the restroom.
Where she returned she explained that the bathroom was down a hall past a gym and 3 flights up. Which means if you have to use the restroom make sure you wear your walking shoes.
I provide pictures of the food. The bread basket was delicious. 3 types of bread. Olive, Pumpernickel and French.
We ordered from the Brunch Menu. So we decided to each get a different item so we can try each others.
The appetizers were good my favorite part was the Bacon Jam. So delicious. The Onion soup was surprisingly bland. I had to add salt.
The entrees were okay. I wasn't really impressed. The potatoes that came with the steak and eggs were bland and I had asked for an over easy eggs and received fried sunnyside up. Even after asked how to make them. The Mimosas were delicious. Lastly, I have to say they make amazing coffee. I suggest at the end or with your meal you order a French press coffee. You I'll be glad you did.
I love this place. It's perfect for a cute and quiet breakfast alone or with friends. I got the signature scrambled egg dish (pictured) with an individual french press. They bring around fresh pastries and bread. I also had a delicious croissant and delicious fresh orange juice.
Medi and Jeremy were delightful waiters. Medi had impeccable timing. Atmosphere (low noise level) was perfect for conversation.
Slowly reopening since Covid. A la carte menu is reduced but adequate to satisfy all palates. Food was plentiful and very good. Service was a little too attentive but otherwise good.
I loved this place. Their food options were excellent and varied. The service was prompt and friendly.
Delicious food with outstanding customer service! Main course was delivered right on time after we finished the appetizer. Wait staff was prompt and observant. Everything was amazing except portion sizes.
We only ordered two entrees but the portion sizes seemed to vary quite a bit between the two plates. A whole duck breast with veggies (highly recommend!) was about the same price as 3 medium sized scallops with a small portion of squash and spinach. Both meals were delicious but we felt the duck plate definitely had a larger portion of protein and veggies.
We came here with a Pulsd dinner promotion, not knowing what to expect. Restaurants in the Theater District tend to be underwhelming, even more so for hotel restaurants. So it was a double whammy of lowered expectations... But we had tickets to a show, it was near our apartment and the theater, and figured we'd give it a try. What a very pleasant surprise! Appetizers (fried green tomatoes and ceasar salad) were both delicious. Entree were equally as good (sea bass and chicken). Desserts were a just fair however. Service was attentive although a tiny bit rushed. Still, for the price (which included a bottle of very good Coppola Shiraz), a wonderful experience! We will definitely be back!
Waited at the bar for a drink before going out and ended up staying the whole night after having the best conversation at any bar I've ever had. Tim the manager was so delightful and refreshing both in conversation and drink suggestions. Not only did I leave with a new favorite drink but a great experience with a staff that truly cares about their clients , have the best suggestions and wanting to change the world.
The food was amazing! We didn’t feel rushed during our meal. Marla was very helpful with directions to the theater. Meti gave great wine recommendations and was very attentive. Chris the manager was friendly and accommodating on a special night for my girlfriend and I. We will be returning soon.
I'm African American, this Haitian food is thee bomb dot com!! Everything is always so fresh and nice and hot... I always order through Doordash.. My food always come well prepared closed and tighten with perfection. The best thing happened to east orange!!!!!
I came the next night but sadly the manager and other bartender was away for a bit, but the service was still great. Finding drinks are easy in NYC, but sometimes the luxury hotel chains are not for conversationalists. Luckily I found one I can't wait to return to!
We had lunch at Gaby Brasserie before going to a matinee show. As much as we enjoyed the show, the Gaby Brasserie was the highlight of the day! The service, the ambience, and the quality of the food was exceptional. I had the avocado toast and the croque madam and my mom had the tuna and quinoa. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. Our waiter was efficient, gracious, and his attention to everything was exceptional. New York has a million restaurants, and we have been to many of them. However, the Brasserie ranks right up there with the best we have been to, and we would highly recommend it.

Had dinner for three on 14th February 2019 and breakfast during the whole Valentines weekend.
They set as at the table and only then we realized they had a set menu only for the Valentines for $89pp.
We moved to the bar and had burger, lobster roll and tuna with quinoa Nicoise.
All was very tasty and beautifully arranged. We liked the think potato chips mist of all.
They serve an assortment of nuts with the drinks, they are quite filling on their own.
As were were staying at Sofitel NYC, we had breakfast here as well every morning for several days. The experience is pricey but very pleasant. The waiters speak fluent French and are very courteous. The food is delicious, though be warned that the portions are American size (huge), not French (tiny).
What we tried was really nice:
Granola with yoghurt and berries
Berries and cottage cheese
Eggs sunny side up
Croissants
Coffee was very good.
My fiance and I went to the Gaby before a show and it was probably the best restaurant that I have ever been to. We were greeted warmly by the hostess Maria the our server Meti came right over to welcome us and take our drink orders. He suggested the salmon and it was incredible. I eat a lot of seafood and I couldnt believe how perfectly it was cooked. Once dinner was over we were so impressed with our service we asked Meti if we could speak to the manager. The manager Chris came over right away with a big smile to ask if everything was okay and we went on about how wonderful the staff, food and service was. We will be going here from now on when we are in the city. Thank you Chris for having an amazing staff that made us feel welcomed. We will be recommending The Gaby to all of our friends and family.
