Stayed on Stanton Street when we were in NYC this week and kept walking past this place until we finally decided to give it a try on our last night (last night!). Um, WOW. Easily the best meal I had in NYC this week and their prices are fantastic. The baked brie blew my mind and we each had a pita (pork and lamb) and they were both fantastic. The staff was very friendly, the decor is authentic and adorable and even the bathroom was cool! The chairs/tables are a little bit awkward and small and tight, but honestly- worth the trip. Or do take-out! Will definitely be back on our next trip.

Always a pleasure to eat here especially with a group of people. We had 12 people celebrating my friends birthday and they were great! We always had drinks and plenty of pita to go with all the appetizers. Food was delicious too! They let us stay for hours and we were grateful with all the rain.

Today I decided to head into the lower east side and give souvlaki GR a try . Me and my friend ordered a few dishes that turned out to be delicious !! Feta fries and stuffed bifteki are deffinetly a gastronomy winner !! Out server was the highlight of the night very attentive, polite , talkative and friendly , it was our pleasure that Hercules served us and after speaking to him for 2 minutes we felt that we knew him for a longtime . We will deffinetly be going back soon . Good job souvlaki GR !!

My husband is a greek chef and even he agrees, the food here was awesome. The keftedes, spanikopita, souvlaki, etc...all authentic and delicious. The space is great and Spiros is friendly and adorable! Will certainly go back when we're in NY!

Went there for a late lunch. Very good food. I recommend to go in group to be able to order different dishes and share. Very good greek beer! And the place looks very cute.

Love this place. It’s cute, the food is good, service is great, and the prices are reasonable. I don’t have issues getting a reservation. Casual spot. I was there on a date, I also saw a family walk in, as well as a group of girl-friends.

My dad and I had dinner here last weekend after doing a bunch of research into the best Mediterranean restaurants in Manhattan. What a place! Delicious food, great ambiance and incredibly friendly staff.

Pleasant little spot after a long day of Site Seeing . Had a nice little combo special for thirty dollars each. Appetizers Gigantes, feta French fries. Main, grilled salmon and lemon potatoes. Drinks , wine. The house special is lamb. Wasn't hungry enough to order it. Next time.

Delicious! Very nice place with amazing food and good prices. Staff is attentive and everyone feels welcomed! The only thing is that tables are too small, but I think they try to make it as much authentic as it can be and the restaurant imitates Greece alley.

Before I moved to the area 5 years ago, this was plaster on my Pinterest board nonstop. Let me just say, I’m glad I finally got to go here. The spot is adorable inside and out, staff is lovely and attentive, and the food just puts a smile on your face. I ended up sharing the below with my boyfriend: -Tyrokafteri (spicy feta): oddly a lot of dill but I loved it for that. The pita that came with this was so warm and delicious. -Kolokithokeftedes (Zucchini Croquettes): wow. Just for for this honestly. -lemon chicken special: honestly wasn’t my favorite but I also am not a fan of chicken thighs. -Baklavas: this may be my favorite Baklavas to date… Conclusion, I would definitely eat here again if I wanted to show someone a cute, low key spot in the city.

This small endearing restaurant made us feel like we were in Greece again with the atmosphere (except for the music). We came for an early dinner before an early show, the staff was incredible! We'll definitely be back! I forgot to take pics... this was all I took.

The best Greek restaurant so far in the city! Transports you to Santorini with a darling atmosphere. Friendly staff and delicious flavors. The Garides Saganaki was delicious!

Deliciously authentic Greek with the ambiance to match. The margarita was a refreshing treat. All the starters we tried (hummus, pita wrap, and chicken skewer) were flavorful and definitely had us appetized for the massive portions of moussaka we got.
