It is always a pleasant surprise to find a Mexican restaurant that can mix traditional flavors with modern twists. The staff here was extra attentive and warm, even though it was my first time here I was treated like a regular. Pilar, our waitress was both fun and great at explaining the different menu options. Her suggestions & stellar service made our dining experience complete. The managers and other waitstaff were also very attentive, I was very impressed, especially considering it was a busy Friday night. The menu at Tacuba offers a good variety of classic dishes that are sure to please anyone who loves Mexican food. The guacamole is a must. It’s both tasty & fresh and if you ask for hot sauce on the side they will give minced jalapeños along with a fiery habanero sauce. For drinks we ordered Micheladas and they didn’t disappoint! They also have great margarita menu that I will definitely try next time. Our entrees were the branzino and skirt steak and both were cooked to perfection. The coleslaw that came with the branzino was so good that I ordered some to go so that I could share with family. The flavors of both dishes were rich and exotic. Everything was seasoned just right and their portions were perfect. We were so satisfied and full from our delicious meal that we didn’t leave room for dessert. However, I am not worried because I know that this is definitely a place I will visit again.
We had the best foods , we felt like we were in heaven !! Our fave is the fries avocado !! Must go and you will regret !
This is the best Mexican restaurant I've been to in the city. The drinks are amazing!! And the food is fresh, tasty, and light. You leave feeling satisfied and happy, but not heavy. I love coming here and would recommend it to others.
Excellent margaritas with a fresh twist floral bonus. Burritos and salads were both on point both in taste and fire! Cozy, sparkling neighborhood restaurant where everyone is family! We will be back!
Wow.
The food here is almost better than it should be, for Hells Kitchen.
Definitely chef driven cuisine.
I later found out the chef has other restaurants around town. Which makes sense, all things considered.
I now go there regularly with a large group of friends, and it's now my favorite place in Hell's Kitchen!
Do yourself a favor, you have to check them out!
Fantastic service, outstanding drinks and the food- yum yum yum
Great atmosphere and exceptional service only surpasses by their fantastic flavors.
Their brunch menu is versatile and offers plenty of choices for vegetarians.
Will be back again!!
Great food great vibe overall great restaurant. Definitely recommend .
Everything about this place was excellent! Food, drinks, staff and ambiance were all stellar. Went to a coworkers birthday that happened to fall on cinco de mayo and was positively shocked with the service. The only slight inconvenience was how crowded it was, but hey, it was cinco de mayo and people were having fun!
The chefs margarita was so delicious and the shrimp and lobster ceviche was heavenly. Can't wait to go back and try their mojitos.
Two words...SO GOOD!!!!! Authentic with a super fun environment. Our server was very friendly! Wish we had one in WI!
The food was great, great margarita selection. Staff was very nice!
Myself and some friends spend the afternoon at the restaurant yesterday & it was FABULOUS!! Our waitress & the manager were top notch! Food was delicious & pitchers of margaritas were yummy. Will definitely be back!!
Stayed nearby, so stopped in for happy hour and appetizers. The bartender was great, and served up some delicious margaritas. The chicken nachos were also tasty. The vibe was chill with the front windows open for a nice refreshing breeze, and the music was perfect with great Spanish throwbacks playing!
Food was really great, and service was very nice! The frozen margaritas were very nicely presented and tastes good and strong.
We were seated inside but right next to the entrance so we got some of the heat from outside and there were a few flies around. Otherwise pretty good!
My husband and i went there late in the evening and the front was noisy and warm. I asked for us to be seated in an air-conditioned area... and the back which was huge... was pretty, chill, and had good service. I tried some foods i had never heard of but my husband thought i might like. It was all very good.
We found this restaurant by accident and decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did and i hope to go back.
Most amazing service, atmosphere, and food. Authentic and personal. Menu was small but comprehensive, and everything tasted like it came straight out of the personal kitchen. I recommend the Carnitas and the Carna Asada plates. This is on our must return list and if you are looking for Mexican food in Manhattan and don't visit Tacuba you definitely missed out.
It was happy hour so we both enjoyed sangrias and margaritas.
The sea bass dinner that my brother had was fantastic and both the chicken dinner and the quesadilla with truffle, mushrooms, cheese and other fantastic items were amazing, as well.
I have been here a couple of times and it has always been a wonderful experience. The tacos are delicious, although ones I had tried a sandwich which was good too. The seating is really good for family or date. On a sunny day there are seats outside as well as conditioned tables inside. I prefer the ones near the entrance, cool AC and open doors.
Food was great! We got the ceviche, rice (side), brussels sprouts (side), chicken tacos, guacamole, cheese dip, and various drinks. The hibiscus cocktail was excellent; the picanto picante cocktail was also great; and we tried the pineapple margarita that comes in a pineapple. Really strong and pretty sweet due to the pineapple juice. (We added extra limes.) Fun atmosphere. Would come back.
Went for taco Tuesday . Service was exceptional. Veggie Nachos were amazing . We took the fish tacos, shrimp tacos and chicken tacos - they comes in threes and you can’t just get one taco of each . The tacos were good. Not the best I had though. The shrimp was probably my favorite. The churros for dessert was not great and we would have skipped it if we had known .
Great party atmosphere lots of space for large groups. Excellent drinks. Excellent shrimp tacos
Drinks and the guac were excellent, tacos just ok. The tacos tasted very plain, and the tortillas were pretty dry. Maduros were too oily. Service was friendly and would def come back for the atmosphere.
