Had brunch there yesterday for the first time. Our waitress (cute blonde girl) was wonderful and friendly. Waters were always filled and the food was fantastic. Had the green eggs & ham and did the macaroni trio. The macaroni truffle was the best Mac I have ever had. I also had a Bloody Mary that had so much flavor, each sip was different. Will be back when I come to NYC.
19 years later and this place is still one of the best places to grab a bite and people watch. Remembering the girls from Sex and the City being featured here and late night stops in my late 20s on my way home! Still got it and then some! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love it here! I’m a Philly girl and every time I visit NYC I stop here. I’m a late night eater and appreciate that NY has gormet food and great cocktails so late. The service is always accommodating , the food is awesome, and they even have great music playing like you never left the club. I’ve been a bartender for 26 years in Philly and I’m always saying we need a late spot like this! I wish they would consider opening up in Philadelphia.
Great vibe here between the guests, staff and music. Hadn't been here in forever. Glad it's still open 24 hours.
Daily specials. We were there on a Thursday. The special was honey roasted turkey with mashed potatoes, string beans, cranberry sauce, and gravy. My wife had a burger. Everything was delicious and the burger was cooked to perfection.

What a experienced!
How can I describe this so lightly? This place took my heart away since I walked in, anywhere I looked I found beauty, love and passion for what they do, we got greeted right away, I was lucky that night to have Devin as my server, he recommended many dishes I absolutely loved the branzino which it was one of the fresher fishes that I've tried so far in the city. My friends love the Brussels sprouts, it had a hint of spicy which it made just perfect to have my friend George fall in love with this dish, as well we tried the white chocolate blackberry pudding with some ice cream, I've heard from manager (Carmine, right? So personal and caring they are for their guests) that you could only find this dish in here and it was phenomenal, what an amazing time I had that night, it will be in my memories forever. You guys made me fall in love with Cafeteria, could it I be more grateful? I will definitely be back to have more unique experiences, so never hesitate to come in to have one of the most meaningful time. You will leave filled with so much love, at least that was for me when I was there.
Thank you guys, keep growing and making things with love as usual.
Great little spot on 7th Avenue.
The staff was very friendly, we were seated right away. The decor is very ethereal and relaxing.
The food is delicious. I had the half grilled cheese and tomato basil soup - the cheese blend is amazing and cooked perfectly.
The meatloaf is also amazing - I stole a bite of my boyfriend's dinner. I recommend stopping in if you're looking for a great spot.
I had not been to Cafeteria for years so happy went back to it. The food was as good as I remember just good comfort food after a night out. Our waiter was so sweet and kind. Lord the meatloaf was out of this world and the half chicken was really good as well. The drinks was strong and yummy. Can’t wait to go back.
The restaurant's vibe was relaxed and chill. Not too long of a wait for a table and very accommodating for a large party.
Our server was awesome. She was on top of our table and knowledgeable about the items on the menu.
I order the Blueberry hibiscus julep and the salmon blt with sweet potato fries. At first, I was not a fan of the cocktail but our server went out of her way to fix that. She came back with an upgrade version of it and that drink was 10x better. Amazing service
The Salmon BLT was good. Didn't feel too filling but just right. Sweet potato fries are pretty much what you would expect.
The rest of my table had the spaghetti, and mac cheese combos along with a few cocktails. The whole group enjoyed their food and drinks.
End the night with the warm fallen chocolate cake. Great desert and big enough for around 3 or 4 people to share.
Overall great experience and good service.
I'm late to the Cafeteria game, but here are my thoughts. If you've read my other reviews, you know I'll let you know what's up.
I haven't been out with my friend group for 6 months and I'm so glad we chose this place to catch up!
The atmosphere is gorgeous, open, simple, chic, and very clearly a welcoming queer space.
We started off with drinks (of course) and I got the Lavender Lemon Spritz Mocktail,
which was so delicious! I love, and very much appreciate, when restaurants have good mocktails. We then ordered the Crispy Buttermilk Waffle as a starter — YUMMY and perfect for fall! Finally, I landed on the Bistro Burger for my entree. All of it was SO DELICIOUS!
Michael, our server, was a dear and a precious human who tended so wonderfully to our table. I am so grateful for that! Let me tell you, I don't know what's up with New York, but finding good service truly is rare these days — so again, thank you, Michael!
I'll definitely come back at some point.
This is your place to come for date nights, girls nights, gworls nights, or just a self date!
Happy Eating, friends!
This is how you do upscale traditional American cuisine! Lovely service, even better food. If your not familiar with usual dining scene of NYC, you might find it loud. But other than that, hats off. Would recommend 100%
Was searching for Christmas dinner because so many restaurants close that night! Gladly we found Cafeteria, food was exactly what we wanted, American delights, made memories for our Christmas celebration🎄✨Thank you!
We stumbled upon this place on accident but I'm pretty glad we did.
When we walked in, I liked the vibe of the place. It was bright, a lot of white colors and modern. It was kind of empty around 9am and the hostess said we had to wait to see where the manager wanted to sit us but the hostess finally sat us and said he'd serve us. We had our toddler with us and they did not have high chairs 😞
I ordered the Crunchy Croissant French Toast and it was DELICIOUS! Omg!
I ordered eggs for my daughter and even though they were just scrambled eggs, they were good. My fiance ordered the BEC sandwich and I think he thought it was just ok. He really enjoyed his coffee tho.
Overall, I liked this place. I just don't think it's kid friendly.
I came here with my sisters and couldn’t fault this place! We were seated promptly to our table and order a range of items. The food was delicious and service was fantastic. 5 stars all around, thank you for the great experience, I’ll definitely be back!
Food and atmosphere was a 9/10. I would definitely recommend the meat loaf, the fire roasted tomatoes on the meatloaf made the dish impeccable. The green beans or string beans were perfectly prepared with a slight crunch, you tasted the garlic with the kick of paprika.
The lemon risotto was slightly undercooked, needed maybe another minute or two but the flavour was unlike anything explainable. The piece de resistance was the Mac Attack, the truffle knocked the ball out the park. Meanwhile the bacon mac n cheese was a home run. Overall the experience was immaculate and would recommend this place to anyone visiting NYC.
Great food and service, along with sizeable portions! Dined here after seeing the Rockettes at Radio City.. the perfect ending to our day!
I came with a group and shared some small plates. We were most excited about the Mac Attack, which is a tasting of three different Macs: Cheddar & Fontina, Smoked Gouda & Bacon, and Truffle. The Gouda & Bacon was by far the most rich and creamy (my favorite). The Cheddar and Fontina was pretty good, but I wasn't a fan of the Truffle.
Everyone agreed that it was a good place for comfort food and late night snacks.
I had a great time! My waitress was so sweet and her perfume smelled so good. I had a margarita (casamigos), the deviled eggs (don’t have pic, I gobbled that down lol) and the Little Gem Caesar with grilled shrimp but without the Caesar sauce. I added red wine vinaigrette and hot sauce ( Incase you may want to try) The music with the dimmed lights gives you a relaxed feeling. You will not be disappointed coming here!
Ariana was the absolute best! 🙌🏻 we went to a couple neighboring restaurants on 7th Ave and haven’t been to cafeteria in a while so we figured we’d give it a shot. What a fantastic time. Ariana convinced us to get a few more things off the menu, to which we were pleasantly surprised at how tasteful and well paired it was. Overall fantastic vibe and will definitely come back just to see her!
had a pretty good experience here!! service was very good and even though we were seated near the door of the “outdoor” area they tried to accommodate my party moving because we were cold. the acai smoothie was delicious i wish it came in a bigger cup!! both courses were delicious as well and servings are pretty large, i have the other half of my sandwich to eat tomorrow. they also seated us quickly!! a bit on the pricey side but definitely worth a visit, they have so many options on the menu. i enjoyed my visit and will return!
Stopped in for a quick bite before meeting a friend.
Fast service.
Chill vibes.
Spicy margarita w just enough heat.
Scrambled eggs w a small clean side salad.
