My daughter and I found this gem last July while we were searching for places with bottomless mimosas and we were not disappointed!!! We purposely went again this past Sunday while in the city and once again we were impressed!!! Exceptional service, great food and affordable selections!!! This place has became a staple in our NYC trips!!!

No soup for You! At dinner that is, it is available during lunch though. Also, as the sign says, no diet coke, no decaf, just real food! True Italian cuisine, our waiter have great suggestions and the chef was up to the challenge. My pan seared salmon ws done to perfection. The desserts hit the spot also!

Ambiance: Small and cozy. You can actually have a conversation while eating. Service: everyone was very kind and fast. Food: Ceasar kale salad was good, the wild mushrooms rigatoni perfect, the chicken Milanese big and crispy, gnocchi delicious. Portions were so big we did not have room for dessert.

During our NYC trip we ate breakfast here based on the Google reviews - it was great. The waiter was the best, the food was superb and we really enjoyed the morning mimosas!

We were guided here by a local shop owner. Started with a plate of prosciutto, mozzarella, and tomato, then followed with their homemade pasta. I had linguine w/ wild mushroom and truffle sauce, my wife had a stuffed pasta with butternut squash, mascarpone, and walnuts. Dessert was a piece of ricotta cheese pie. This social was outstanding on every level, from food to service to the simply adorned yet wonderful interior. Don't miss this if you are in New York!

I really like Pepe Rosso Social. Some of the best food in Little Italy, although the competition is generally lacking. There are 3 other Pepe Rosso locations - I've only been to Pepe Rosso To Go in addition. Both locations have delicious food and the prices are super reasonable - moreso even because it's this part of the city. Unlike the other restaurants in what is left of Little Italy, they don't have a "Barker" outside beckoning you in. It's cozy - romantic even. I get lunch to go here often and the servings are generous. There's reasonably priced wine, quiet music and you can hear your fellow diners talking to you. Everyone I've interacted with here is super friendly, giving you glasses of water while waiting for takeout etc. Pasta dishes seem fresh and authentic. I'm somewhat perplexed by the variance in reviews here - I've had nothing but good experiences. Perhaps there are off nights or other reviewers are otherwise motivated.

Amazing food!!! When my husband and I travel we always look for the "whole in the wall" foods. The food was rich in flavor and cooked to perfection. The gentleman serving was the owner and he was great. He talked to us, made us feel at home and made sure we had everything we needed and wanted. Cant wait to go back. Please excuse the creme brulee, it was soooooo good!!!!!

Came in here with a party of 12. Friendly service! Wait staff was relatively attentive. We shared some appetisers. Burrata with prosciutto was the high light. I ordered the lamb shank with gnocchi. I felt it was a little dry but the gnocchi was perfectly done. Would come again.

Cozy and intimate Italian restaurant with attentive staff. My friends and I went to Pepe Rosso for a get-together. We enjoyed the appetizers and the mains which were traditional cooked Italian dishes. Clams were cooked perfectly with delicious sauce, some in our group went for clam dish mains after the appetizer. One minor criticism, the burrata wasn't as flavorful due to lack of balsamic. I would recommend Pepe Rosso if you want some authentic Italian dishes.

It was a great experience. Waiters did everything short of chewing your food. It was expensive but we'll worth it. Lunch specials and weekend brunch specials had a much better price but came at the wrong time. Still very good and authentic.

This was the restaurant we chosen when visiting Little Italy. What a great choice it was. Delicious pasta and the bread w/ garlic was divine. Only good food here ;)

Excellent place to go for a good meal at a very affordable price (you get quality food and it's not expensive). Be sure to order the big pitcher of wine as it's a bang for your buck.

I got a special that was a seafood marinara. A lot of good seafood on a smaller bit of pasta than I would have liked. The sauce was a spicy marinara with roasted garlic that was good, but a bit bland. The cheese was powdered, but it worked with my dish. The ambiance was nice, but only one end of the bar was open and a lot of next to each other couples seating.

Came here after an evening of mattress shopping in the area for some excellent Italian food! We were seated right away and had a great meal. Started with a bottle of rosΓ©, kept it going with zucchini parm, and finished it off with penne vodka (vegetarian available upon request). Would definitely come back!

First time in here for me, my friend brought me here to try their pasta and it was delicious. I had Fettuccine w mushrooms and truffle oil and added shrimp for $5 more and it was worth it. They have happy hour for wine and beer till 7 pm; my friend tried it and it was pretty good for the price. Nice, cute decor and the friendly server. Will definitely going back to try their other dish.

Great ambiance, the restaurant has unique looking decor including a pitch fork wall. The food was absolutely delicious the calamari was as soft as butter and wasn't oily. The pasta was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The staff is also perfect, both friendly and helpful without being overbearing.

Food is fantastic! My partner and I came at 9pm on a raining day. We've been a few restaurants with high review rating, this one really "wow" us. We ordered clams as entree, black ravioli and risotto. The food is very well prepared, flavor is balanced. Service is also very good, the staff seems to be happy and relaxed.

The food, service, and decor are all fantastic. It feels like eating dinner at home. I always request to sit in the back. I have been here 5-6 times, and plan on going many times in the near future. The food is priced very very modestly. I really like the pasta dish that comes with prosciutto, I get it almost every time. The staff are extremely helpful. I can't say enough good things about this place. A++

This is a great restaurant right off of Little Italy. It really doesn't stand out from the restaurants of Little Italy, but if you live in the neighborhood then you know what I mean. The service is great and the food is a bit above average. The prices get sneaky expensive when you order drinks. The ambience in the back is great. We ordered the burrata which was excellent. Two pasta dishes that were handmade. Delicious. Check it out.
