A friend just took me here for lunch yesterday and it was amazing!!! I could have eaten four of those delicious juicy burgers!!!! Our bartender John was fantastic and extremely friendly (He searched all over to play the Chelsea match on the television for me, in vain as it turned out, as the match had been played much earlier!) and he even bought us a round of drinks. I intend to spend a great deal of my free time in this place from now on! Just fair warning...:)

Ate there Saturday late night. The service was great, the cheeseburger and fries were excellent. Great drink prices too. I'll be back next time I'm in NYC!

Went here a year ago with a friend and had one of there apparently famous burgers and they did not disappoint. That one year later I remembered them and shared the experience with my girlfriend good job guys!

The Bistro Burger used to be the best burgers in town pre-pandemic. Now, in October 2023, the burger is good, but not as good as I remember. Also, prices have gone up a lot for what is basically just a bar burger. I still recommend a visit if you are looking for a decent burger in the area and are a fan of shoestring fries. The beers here are in glasses and not pints but have pint prices.

There is nothing I love more than a good burger and this place is top 5 ever. Unfussy, cash-only, simple menu. They will cook the burger to whatever temperature you ask for (medium really does mean medium here). A new fave for me!

Divey bar that serves objectively fantastic burgers - the patty is juicy and served as it should be, and the toppings don’t overwhelm the burger. Cash only although there is an atm in the restaurant. $20 all in if you just get the burger.

Simple Burger joint, neighborhood bar vibes. We walked in and was seated by the bartender. We ordered a white Allagash beer, the cheese burger, and tater totes. The burger was delicious and perfect size, the tater totes were hot and fresh. It’s affordable as well, good for dates.

The burger is not overrated, especially at the price. The bar is lively and the bartenders are excellent. It's a great, local spot that's now sort of a destination. They haven't strayed from the secret to their success, however, and they're excellent at what they do. You can't go wrong with their burger and tots. Cash only.

Very solid burger, but wouldn’t expect it to live up to any “best burger in NYC expectations. Very small place you’ll probably have a wait during peak hours.

Place is a bit divey, server isn’t the most attentive, but the burgers are solid! Quality beef, a great pickle, burger cooked to temperature. Tatter tots were crispy and golden. For a salad I had the BLT sandwich with an emphasis on the B. Guinness was warm but not bad enough to have stars deducted. For sure recommend stopping by.

We went there in July. We were hyped because it’s known as one of the best burgers in New York. And it IS. After eating many burgers in NYC, this is the BEST one. Recommended? Of course!! P.S. The fries were DELICIOUS

Dropped by for lunch on a Saturday. There were a few tables free outside so decided to sit and watch the world go by and have a burger and a beer. I had a cheeseburger, fries and a beer. The burger patty was chunky and juicy cooked perfectly medium rare but could have done with a bit more seasoning. The fries were okay without being spectacular and the beer was cold and perfect for the occasion. Overall a good meal without being spectacular.

I used to frequent this spot quite often in my 20s after a night of drinking. After many years of not going. I was in the area after a night out and decided to order for takeout. My have the prices have changed! As always it’s still cash only. I ordered the bistro burger (medium) with fries. I don’t think I waited more than 10 minutes. The fries came in a separate brown bag. The portion is a little small in my opinion. The bacon could’ve been cooked longer. I personally like it crispy. But after a night out drinking. It did it’s job. Juicy goodness. Total $22.02

West Village restaurant bar but affordable (relatively speaking). CASH ONLY! $45 gets you a burger, side of fries/tots, 2 beers and tax+tip which for America is expensive but for West Village NYC ain’t bad. No menus so look at the wall. And limited menu items - burgers/chicken burgers/veggie burger and sides. Fries were fine but tots were better. Burgers are overhyped. All served on paper plates. No thrills service at best. Would go with a buddy, not a date or visitor.

Lovely neighbourhood vibe. Old and cosy interior. Super friendly staff that made us feel like regulars. Burgers are small but excellent. Frites were crispy, salty and tasty. The house beer was fresh and good, but the tiny glasses are too small for 9 dollars.

A burger bistro with fast and friendly staff, delicious well-cooked burgers, and a young and energetic vibe. The indoor and outdoor areas both contribute to a lively atmosphere, with the outdoor area being heated in the winter and having a street-side setting. CB offers a variety of burger options and is a good choice for food, drinks, and socializing. Highly recommended for a chill & enjoyable dining experience.

The corner bistro is a very cute spot to grab a bite. The service is good and quick and the tables are big. The burgers are good and huge, but seem to have absolutely no salt in the mix. Didn’t love the bacon or the fries. Thought it was a bit expensive. You can’t make a reservation and need to pay in cash!

A friend tipped me off to this place saying it was the 'best burger in the city'. I had my doubts, but only till I tried it. Boy was she right! It's the kind of place only a native New Yorker knows about. A simple, bar atmosphere that's cash only, reasonably priced and an incredible burger! I can't wait to go back!

Cozy corner pub. Friendly service and enough light banter to go around. Come for the 70s hits that offer a cozy nostalgia of a time I wasn’t born in but stay for the staple. Big bold burgers with a patty that screams made from scratch and never frozen. The house burger is Served with a generous side of pickles that almost shows bias towards us that love them. A toasted bun is a must and so it is. Thick fresh cut onions and thick fresh lettuce so crisp there’s almost an audible crunch. No ingredient was of a lesser quality than the next. Passion for detail like this is hard to come by these days. Good on ya Bistro Pub. Y’all stay true to the cause.

This place appears in most lists of burgers in nyc (including a guest appearance om How I Met your Mother). First time I tried it and it was okay in my opinion, but nothing special. Very similar to the JG Melon burger, which is also considered good but I personally didn't like so much. The payment is cash only so come ready (or get cash from the ATM inside). The staff is really nice and the service is good. I really wished I liked the burger more but I didn't. Oh and the portions of the sides are huge and could feed two people easily so that's a plus for them.

This iconic West Village spot. You've seen it's neon sign. Located on West 4th Street, just feets off Hudson. This is the West Village in a bar basically. Regulars and newbies, this is what bar restaurants aspire to be. Past, present and hopefully future. Did I mention the burger is ridiculously delicious? There's a reason this joint is always on "Best Burgers of NYC" lists. Fresh, thick and juicy. You know you like it. Enjoy
