Just had the best ever breakfast with such fabulous service before the big apple wakes up a superb diner to visit and I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed ..
Nice and authentic place...waiters very kind and professional...good price...i strongly support this place....please come, visit and order their star on 18 burger....so marvellous...
My daughter was cold went in for a cup of cocoa she said the Coco was fabulous and as we walk past those that were dining already we were like we need to eat here and so we did we were not disappointed food was delicious portion size was great will go there again next time we're in town although my daughter wants to go now she doesn't grasp the concept that we live in Brooklyn this Diner is in Manhattan
Great service and it’s nice to be recognized as a returning customer. The food is great and the prices are very reasonable.
Great place to have a classic American breakfast! Local crowd and budget breakfast offers until 11am.
Classic an American diner. Great service, awesome food, reasonable prices. I will be eating there again.
Fantastic food and excellent service.. We visited once for breakfast and another for dinner
Excellent traditional American Diner breakfast!
Loved it, such a big menu, loads of comfort food options.
Very nice service and food.
Great find before going on The High Line. Big portion. Fast service but slow for the payment.
Great food, cute little place. Cheap prices, stop in for a bite it's wonderful.
I would definitely go back! The building was clean, the service was fast and incredibly nice. The food was all clearly scratch made and was quite good.
Wow a sit down diner in New York that isn't overpriced and doesn't suck! It is just what you're looking for when you walk into a place that says diner on the awning, good simple food at a reasonable price. The service is a bit slow but it works
Typical movie site! Their food is typical American and very good! The atmosphere is welcoming and the best is the treatment! Let the waiters suggest you!
Small diner with great service. We come here to get lunch a few times a year. The portions are generous for the prices.
Meals that come with soup or salad are a good deal. The soup is a generous bowl size and great starter. Meatloaf with mushroom gravy is my favorite. Steamed veggies and fries are my go to sides. The fries taste unsalted and baked. I’ve had the baked potato side as well. I douse on the condiments here. The garlic bread that comes with this is very basic diner style quality. I wouldn’t think it was garlic bread because it really tastes like plain toasted bread. But the meatloaf is my favorite.
The Greek Spinach Pie was delicious with the Greek salad and side of soup.
Then it happened. The cook brought out hot fresh corn muffins from the oven at 2pm. We smelled the corn muffins. We saw it. We got it. We asked for honey and butter to go with it. Otherwise the muffin came with grape jelly and butter. We inhaled the muffin like it was dessert.
$4.50 for an oversized house made corn muffin. The man seated next to us also got a muffin. The waiter had a good handle on his patrons. As if he could predict what we needed, he’d ask us before we needed to ask him. Amazing service.
Edit: I noticed my latest dining bill included a $2.50 charge after items are added up. Then this total is taxed. If you pay with credit card, you are charged an additional tech fee.
Great place to go for groups of 4 or less.
Nice place! We were the only customers in the place, but the service was still great. Food was out quickly and it was very fresh. Chicken parm on garlic bread was great. Nice classic diner, big portions!
We got our food really quick. Service was incredible and the food was fantastic! I would really like to eat here again. Sadly I'm only here in NYC for a short time.
Here is an image of the fabulous backyard burger. (Half eaten)
I love this edward hopperish classic NY ambience diner. Foods are served fast, hot, and fresh.
For the location this place offers decent price. The food is good and the milkshakes is definitely the highlight, I love the milkshakes here more than Big Daddy's which is known for their milkshakes. I'd go here any time of the day to get a milkshake here. Service is ok. It's a very convenient location if your hanging out on the highline.
Perfect old school diner. Great turkey burger and rich thick gravy
Easy, kind, fast, and reliable. Greek food is excellent but I do wish their spanakopita was dish style as the way they do it is far too dry. Everything else is yummy.
I ordered chicken noodle soup and Mac n cheese and it was awesome!! There's a ton of options to choose from at a really good price!
Waiters and staff were nice. Food was ok. My only irritation was that their corn syrup based pancake syrup was placed inside real maple syrup containers, which is a bit deceptive.
Not very crowded. Quaint diner. Good service. Food was decent. Freshly squeezed OJ tasted like a store bought boxed juice.
Great little diner in the middle of NYC! This is a great place to get inexpensive but yummy breakfast in the city. Great location and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Nice to find a spot like this still remaining in such a big city! Will definitely come back here.
Update 10/23/22 back for breakfast. I had Belgian waffle and 2 eggs, perfect.
Update 8/13/17: 5 stars. We ordered fish tacos off the specials menu and had the Tilapia broiled instead of fried (pic). Wow, really good! And better than some of the Mexican places we've eaten at. Certainly would order again... and with beers, since this time was brunch w/coffee.
Update 6/25/17: oatmeal w/nanners again :)
GF had Cuban burger delux- very good. Fyi the jalapeños that come with it are REAL! Not the mild ones you get at some places... I love hot peppers, tobasco is mild to me.
Great food... update 5/6/17: had oatmeal with bananas- was good, I'd get it again. GF had Greek omlet again- good. Her rye toast was perfect!
Strayed from our usual 9th Ave spots. My Pancakes and eggs- great! Greek omelet- awesome (GF's words). Coffee was good and friendly staff. We will be back :)
Superior sandwiches and salads.
Great diner - loved it for all day breakfast and lunch. Gluten free pancakes were amazing. Friendly - would highly recommend.
Super!!!! Ewerything was great! ❤️❤️❤️
I have lunch there from time to time as it’s around the block from my office. Good diner food, extensive choice, and the waiter is very nice and quick. Highly recommend to grab lunch quickly.
Classic American Diner. Spotted it while walking the Highline. Food was excellent. A great travel experience for a British family visiting NY.
The diner felt truly traditional. It is not a themed diner. The cheeseburger was huge and very fairly priced. The service was quick. Awesome place for a quick bite on between walks.
