Tartine is one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants in the West Village. the pastries are wonderful especially the almond Croissants, there brunch, which is now served daily, is soooooo good. I always get the eggs benedict which are perfect & the potatoes are delicious. My daughters love the apple pancake. You may have to wait but it's worth it.

Love, love, Tartine! We fondly remember our brunches there during the mid-1990s when we lived in the WVill. Waiting in line, rain or cold, for delicious comforting food. Tartine has only gotten better. Now a reason to visit the city. 🙏🏽

My fave place to eat in NYC. Croque Madame is 5 stars. Soup a l'onion also amazing.

Food was pretty good, we had the apple pancake that was enough for 2 people, I think is one of the popular dishes in the restaurant. Pretty good flavor and not overwhelming sweet. We also had the smoked salmon on top of a potato tortilla, I did like it a lot ! Topped with capers, onions and cream fresh. Plus a glass of raspberry mimosa

This is clearly a popular place. It was full and very busy. We waited about 15 minutes until we eventually flagged someone down to get us our menus and drinks. Once we ordered, the food came out reasonably quickly. The presentation is lovely and the food is well prepared, but not as complex as we were hoping; both of our dishes lacked flavor and depth. Nonetheless we left satisfied. The atmosphere is lovely. It doesn’t feel like you’re in the busy city and it gave us the chance to sit and chat.

This is THE West Village experience in a restaurant. Perched on a corner, overlooking gorgeous ivy covered brick buildings, no other restaurant in sight and under towering trees. This quiet, neighborhood spot has delicious food and superb classy service. Very easy going vibe, we sat outside to enjoy the late summer air. Seems most people knew to bring their own wine, but they do have a wine list which served us a very good Cote du Rhone. The food was perfect. Brussel sprouts fried in bacon juice and served in an iron skillet. Tuna tartare perfectly built as of by an architect. And the steak au poivre was incredible too. Usually one to skip dessert, I happily enjoyed the hot apple pie a la mode. Sitting here, with good company, and relaxed atmosphere I can confidently say this place is a gem. Dining on this quiet corner created an instant memory. Definitely will be back soon. Enjoy

A charming bistro where you can bring your bottle of wine and taste the French/American cuisine. Very atmospheric place, the feeling that the owners themselves are a bartender and a waiter, because the service is so great! Marinated Grilled Chicken Paillard - a huge portion, you can safely order for two and just take another appetizer or Steamed Mussels, as we have done and share. Chicken was average, but still good. Onion soup and creme brulee were delicious! I know that place popular for there brunch, so we will definitely come back here again to try Croque Madam)

Such a cute brunch place. BYO is nice too. Food is always delicious and done with care. I got the corned beef breakfast hash. The hash was meaty and satisfying. Staff is very friendly. Really a treasure.

Nice French spot in the West Village. One of my favorite places to eat in the village. It’s like you’re in a little cafè in France. I love their sautéed chicken or the beef mignonette. Their fries always comes out great and it comes also with some salad which is nice. Great service and friendly staff. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the village looking for a nice spot to eat.

Lovely corner for lunch/brunch outside, especially on a weekday when it’s less crowded if you can swing it. Food is pretty average, lacking a little flair or flavor in the dishes we tried, but service is great and you couldn’t ask for a better location/surroundings. BYO or purchase drinks there.

I had a late brunch here on Saturday and while there was a line, it moved quickly. The restaurant is small, crowded, and noisy but not any more than any other Greenwich Village eatery on a weekend. The service is quick and friendly and the foid arrived at our table very quickly considering how budy they were. I had the Corned Beef Hash, which was served in a small cast iron skillet with two poached eggs on top. It was far and away the best Corned Beef Hash I have ever tasted. The coffee is also worth noting in that it was just right. Not bitter or burned. Tartine has been a Village staple for many many years and after finally braving the ever present line, I understand why. An excellent choice. Highly recommended.

went here for a birthday dinner. It was good food and service. Only thing I disliked was restaurant not accepting reservations, so for a party of 5 it took almost 1.5 hours to get seated. You have to stand in line and just wait around. After the long wait, we sat in a heated outdoor section. Service was a good speed and we all enjoyed our food. The creme brulee was amazing (ordered two portions) and had the steak au pouirve.

It was a great place for a nice simple dinner. I sat outside and it was nice. The food was very delicious and tasty. It’s a good place for a romantic dinner or date, but not for a group of people. The service was fine, could be better.

a cute, small, and highly photographable — albeit pricey — brunch spot in nyc’s west village. it’s a popular spot and they don’t take reservations or seat incomplete parties, so be prepared go wait outside in line for awhile for a spot. inside, you’ll find bright lights and a cohesive, blue nautical themed vibe. service was friendly and attentive; our food took awhile to arrive but when it did, i was impressed with how beautifully each dish was presented. my group of 4 shared the following 4 dishes, which were each $18 (** = especially recommend): - ** grey goose cured scottish salmon: the combination of all the ingredients in this beautiful dish provided an eclectic variety of flavors. the cold salmon was fresh and flavorful and melted so subtlely in the mouth. it paired wonderfully with the warm potato pancake and the other veggies—red onion, capers, lemon, etc.— which provided the perfect final tangy kick. - ** gravlox toast: another excellent and aesthetic salmon dish that tasted fresh and refreshing, though the toast itself could have been crispier. - baked eggs with lamb sausage: the sausage was cooked a little too dry, but it had a nice, bold flavor. the eggs were perfectly poached and the tomato sauce was hearty and flavorful— i was scraping it off the bowl by the end! - tunisian breakfast: plenty of veggies which were cooked and seasoned well. the eggs were also well poached, but this was probably the least memorable dish that we ordered and probably wouldn’t get it again. i also got a hot latte, but they didn’t have any substitute milk options which was unfortunate and surprising… but it was still good. overall, i recommend this spot to come with friends for a cute brunch with memorable dishes and photos!

The food is excellent here. And the place is small with a lot of charm! They don't take reservations but the wait is so worth it... I discovered it last summer and I've been going back a bunch of times since then. My new favorite brunch spot.

Amazing food! The place is bring your own booze. We saw lots of people bringing their own bottles of wine. The restaurant also had a nice selection of beers and wines as well. The food portions were very big and reasonably priced. It's a wonderful local restaurant with a great vibe! The picture features the spicy chicken, which was delicious. Everything was perfectly cooked.
