Houlala a little piece of France in NY. Great ambience and charming staff - would love to come back and try some of their great wine list
Great lively bar area. Fantastic food! Try the File au Poivre - vow!!! If that wasn't perfect I don't know what to look for.
Croque Monsieur. Topped with ham, Gruyere cheese & bechamel, the tartine was flavorful without being too heavy. The salad dressing went well with the dish.
We stumbled into this as well while searching for something French. The food was just north or average. The service was very good. The setting was trendy mix or wire mesh and exposed brick. The bill was for cocktail + coffee + soup + entree include tip & tax was $47 PP. If you are on a budget, read the menu carefully!
Well, we stumbled onto this place while walking to Mulberry Street, took one look at the menu and went in. They have just recently opened and I like the concept. A Tartine is a French open Sandwhich but not really. We started with the Foie Gras Tartine. Each one comes with a very nice salad. The foie gras is made in house and I have to say was well done. we also ordered some of their fresh juice selectins made right there at the bar. Fresh and delicious. The second tartine we ordered was the rillette. Also a great selection. This was a great atmosphere and the service was also exceptional. I would suggest for couples and small groups that desire to share.
The space has a sweet window side cafe at street level and then drops down into a fabulous sunken dining room space, complete with a large tree in the center of the room. The light streams in from outside through large floor to ceiling windows and drum-like lamps hang over the tables.
This re-imagining of the French bistro was offering open-faced Croque Monsieurs & discounts on Stella Artois, so we both got one of each. Topped with ham, Gruyere cheese & bechamel, the tartine was flavorful without being too heavy.
This is becoming one of my favorite places downtown Manhattan. They have excellent happy hour from 5pm to 7pm, the food is top notch as are the desserts. Service is also excellent love both Veronica and Thomas, both are great at their jobs.
Very pleasant bar with great staff. Wide selections of wine. They serve weekend brunch. Also have various lunch items and sides to choose from. Overall food is tasty and there are two seating rooms (one more nostalgic rock and another more chic and black)
Perfect place for a brunch !
We got a roast beef tartine, a poached egg with salmon tartine, 2 rosinis and 2 belinis and a cheesecake!
Everything was so delicious we just wanted more! Maybe the alcohol made us eat more but it was so worth it. A bit expensive but amazing. Perfect for a couple on Sunday :)
Plus the atmosphere is great and the waiters are really nice.
Very Nice dinner with friends during our trip in NYC. Simple and fresh ingredients, very weel cooked. Excellent customer service. To sum up a very nice French touch 😊😋🇫🇷
We initially came into the Nolita location on a Gilt City deal, and enjoyed the food so much that we purchased another Gilt City deal and came back! The tartines are open-faced sandwiches, and they are piled high. You’ll need silverware (or a non-judgmental date) to eat them.
There are a bunch of two-person tables by the bar, and more seating downstairs.
Try the Croque Madame and absolutely anything with avocado as a leading ingredient. Wine is 2-for-1 during happy hour, which I think runs from 5-7 daily, and is well worth it. We are coming back soon with a larger group, and can’t wait!
Great pizza and a hot spot at night with celebrity sightings being reported (not by me though).
Yummm! This place is fantastic! Tried it using a Gilt City voucher, and have been going back ever since.
Had a dinner there, the place was lovely the food fine and the team very nice.
We tasted one of their new wine , a saint estephe it was a big surprise.
Difficult to choose we finally took the pear and blue cheese on the advices of the GM (nice moustache) it was awesome! lot of flavors! My fiancé took a couple because one wasn't enough for him (but he is big)
Service was good, waitress was friendly but it seemed like they were a little short staffed. Our water glasses were never replenished until asked. Food was good and delicious, I found the croque monsieur to be a bit more on the salty side. Otherwise, the smoke salmon tartine and burger were enjoyable. Prices were more towards the three $$$ than the two $$.
We went as a party of 10 and there was a hiccup in the kitchen. However when we notified the staff, the service was just stellar. They did an excellent job of ensuring our group night out was pleasant.
The food was also stellar! Highly recommend to pay a visit and will go again.
