Since this wonderful spot opened more than eight years ago it keeps progressively getting better. The Tapas and main dishes keep expanding in both items but as well in delicious interest. No American pseudo Spanish fare here! No... truly authentic. The ambience has always felt magical with the hundreds of fresh candles nightly and the abundance of fragrant roses in many hues of peach, to rust to copper. And the displays of paper cache trees brought one into the world of art as well. The golden variations of wood, the fireplace and the retractable ceiling that renders this intimate boîte into a spring garden have made this the perfect place to dine. I was there the other night with seven friends and to my delight I entered an even more remarkable space. How many restaurants sit back to enjoy their success and assumes their clientele is forever happy with the surroundings? Mary Cathrine and Donald Macula, the owners, have transformed their lovely space into and even lovelier one. The entry has a much more expression of welcome and the tiny bar has been moved to replace the long row of communal tables where a group was separated via the tall sprays of delicate roses. In it's place area few bistro style tables and a full bar where one can enjoy a drink before dinner or simply to see a friend for a for a sugar-rimmed Side Car and a small plate or two. New since my last visit six months ago when I last visited New York are several levels of tastings of the menu. My group chose the $65 version and the food was abundant, beautifully curated with a myriad of interesting flavors and we were all so satisfied. We had the Anchovy toast and the small strips that were delicate and making your tongues beg for more. We had the rich pan sautéed Octopus, fried Chickpeas, Seared Duck to the exact perfect temperature, Spicy Shishito peppers, Paella , And more that is still waiting to come to my mind after such a perfect night. Salinas 136 9th Ave between 18th and 19th streets. Call now ..they fill up with their loyal clientele who cannot get enough .... like me.

Excellent service! Each plate got better and better! The deliciousness to the presentation. Service was perfect! Garrett, our waiter, is awesome and made our visit well worth it! Thank you for the great food and service!
By far my most memorable restaurant experience I have ever had. The wait and bar staff were more professional and take their jobs more seriously than any person I've met in any profession. As far as the food goes, all I can say is that the human mind cannot comprehend the devine. Everything I ate was the greatest thing I've ever tasted. The port at the end really tide the meal together. I would happily fly from Seattle to NYC just to sit at the bar for an old fashioned and go home when it was gone. Best place I've ever had the pleasure of dinning at. Thank you.
Very elegant spot. It's quaint and well appointed. The drinks the food are fantastic the fresh flowers are elegant everything about the service was top level could not recommend this any higher
An amazing experience! The service was smooth and incredible! And the food was stunning incredible flavor!! Well plated also!! The dinning room was beautiful! Love the smell and touch of design with roses from Ecuador!! Recommend it 100%

Was so cool to found this pice of Ibiza in the center of Manhattan. 10 point highly recommended. Nice crowd . Owner and his wife was amazing. Mediterranean food 10 point

Ineed, my first time checking out cuisine of Balearic Island. Salinas, in simple words is 'Excelente'. They have really good collection of wine and cheese which blends well with Para Picar. Highly recommend everyone to try out Pica Pica, Califor Con Remolacha and Llauna Demail Patons. Staff is super friendly and service is of finest quality. I am looking forward to celebrate many more special occasions at Salinas.
Not only is the food above and beyond, but the ambiance and service are top of the line. The food is a foodgasm and the sheer beauty if ethereal. The personnel is Top of the line. There is NOTHING negative about this restaurant EXPERIENCE

The restaurant is classy and has a very pleasant ambiance. The noise level was surprisingly good, the food (especially the paella) was simply amazing, and the staff was awesome!

Very cozy place, with very good music! I went with my boyfriend, we sit on the bar and Olger was super kind and warm with us. I’m vegetarian and he helped me with the food and cocktails. Was really good, everything super tasty.
Got a reservation for the back section, and even though it was at night, it still has a great ambiance. The two dishes I tried were great, service was amazing. Sauce on the ribeye was super delicious!

If you’re prepared to spend some money, this is a great restaurant. Not your typical tapas- very unique and so flavorful. Plus it’s an awesome swanky atmosphere perfect for date night.
Place and ambiance is amazing. Employees are also very welcoming and sweet! Would love to come again. The signature dish was amazing. I loved the croquetas and the fries are a must. The passion fruit margarita was also a must! :)
I always come to Salinas for the best octopus in the city.

This was a wonderful find! Not your typical Spanish restaurant, they put their own spin on classics like patatas bravas by adding a little caviar, providing a nice elevated touch. Standouts included a pistachio crusted roast eggplant which offered an awesome combination of flavors and textures and the hangar steak which had a really nice charred flavor. The atmosphere was also really cozy and perfect for a cold evening out. I’ll be back
Highly recommend this place. The interior is very luxury oriented and the food is delicious. Would have given 5 stars if the portion size was a bit bigger for price and if the server didn’t have a hard time explaining the restaurant’s concept to us. Still, a very good place
Went here for a work dinner with a group of 30 people and I have to say - the atmosphere, food and service was perfect. Sat in the garden room and loved the indoor outdoor feel (aka the AC). Whether you are having a group dinner or a dinner for two, you should definitely eat here!
Unbelievable atmosphere, tapas are DELICIOUS, the bartender John is extremely friendly and his drinks are the best. I want to come back here and try the whole menu! Definitely a gem.
We walked up to some unsuspecting store front but after being walked down a long hallway We got sat outside in a beautiful open roof room. Got the brave potatoes with lumpfish caviar. Was outstanding. Got the octopus, was amazing as well. The Iberian ham was eh kind of tasteless but the quality was up there I think I might just not care for Iberian ham. The cocktails were excellent. Got the seafood rice which was on point. The service was very good as well the back waiter was on the ball and my captain was very knowledgeable about the drinks and menu items. The cheese cake was delicious and warm. The only negative things I could mention was some of the plating was a little lazy, sauce on the rims water spots on the plates that type of thing hardly worth mentioning. But my table was wobbly which was really annoying.
However, I definitely recommend visiting this restaurant!
Beautiful romantic and chic restaurant! The food is delicious and drinks outstanding! The team is very kind and knowledgeable, Olger and the bar team were very attentive and fun. Definitely will be back!
I loved this place! The atmosphere was excellent for date night, and food exceeded my expectations as a twist on Spanish tapas. I thought the service could have been better, but I will be including this spot on my rotation for dinner in the city.
The food at Salinas is incredibly delicious! I sat at the bar and enjoyed a super tasty Beso Del Sol cocktail, and Steven served me excellently. Don't miss out on their fantastic cheesecake, it's absolutely yummy!

I had made a reservation for my birthday celebration. Initially, when we arrived, the front desk informed us that we needed at least half of our party, which was 3 people, to be present before we could be seated. She suggested we wait inside at the bar, but it was quite crowded, leaving us with no place to stand except in the pathway.
A few minutes later, our 3rd and 4th guests arrived, and we checked with the front desk again. However, a different staff member told us that we couldn't be seated until everyone in our party was present. This change was confusing because it contradicted what we were told just a few minutes earlier by the girl still standing next to this stuff. I couldn't quite understand their reasoning for not seating us, especially since I had made a reservation and we were planning to order food and drinks.
I wouldn't have minded waiting if there were available seats or standing space, but there was neither, and we ended up blocking the way for others. Finally, they accommodated us when we had 5 people present, making an exception to the previous rule. This initial experience put a damper on the birthday celebration, which was disappointing.
To highlight the positive aspects, once we were seated, we truly appreciated the delightful atmosphere. We were fortunate to have a great table in the center, and the view through the skylight was absolutely stunning.
In terms of the food, the appetizers were tasty, but we found the pasta too salty and hard; I wouldn't recommend it. Additionally, the seafood rice pot (I forgot its name) was somewhat unusual as the rice seemed undercooked. However, the pork, beef dishes, and desserts were great!
Olger and Steven were fantastic bartenders! The energy and overall vibe of the restaurant is immaculate. Their music was also quite a treat. The DJ was incredible and added to the warm and intimate atmosphere. Will be back time and time again.
So so so good! The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. Also met the owner, Donald who is the sweetest guy. The atmosphere was perfect for an intimate group dinner on a Saturday. I've been here on a weeknight as well and it was the perfect evening. And the cheesecake... absolutely unreal. It just melts in your mouth. Everything was freshly My favorite dish was the octopus and the cielos azules is one of my favorite cocktails in NYC. I can't wait to come back.
The place and surroundings are incredibly beautiful. The DJ was amazing. The food and drinks were terrific! Many thanks to Steven for making my night awesome.
