This restaurant is an experience. We chose the buffet menu including all desserts and cheese and I was pretty satisfied. Amazed by the view and the ambience that surrounded us. The cocktails are just amazing!
I recently visited this place with my girls and we totally loved it for the view. We choose buffet and ordered drinks separately ! It’s totally worth for the view and a peaceful dinner
The most fun part was the revolving floor ! By the time we went for the second serving , the food was moved to a different corner .
Everybody should experience dining with the view .
I was recently staying at the Marriott Hotel in Times Square in NYC and on the 48th floor there is a revolving restaurant. It was a once in a life time experience. I had ordered the buffet and I got to sit with my wife, brother-in-law, and sister as we ate a ton of delicious food that has an amazing variety of options for entrees and desserts. The food was so good especially while you are watching the sunset or you starring into other peoples apartments as the restaurant rotates 360 degrees. It was a unforgettable experience that really has shaped my impression of NYC. Unfortunately, I did not give a 5 star rating because it was very expensive, 100 dollars or more per person to eat the buffet food. Other than that it was an amazing and magical experience that I had the privilege of sharing with my family.
For a three course pre-fix dinner, this was actually pretty good! The crab cake appetizer was excellent ! I live near the Florida coast, so I know and appreciate good crab cakes, and these crab cakes were some of the best I have ever had. The ribeye steak and cheese cake were tasty--not outstanding, but very good. The wait staff was so-so and our waitress expected us to know what we wanted to order within 1 minute of being a seated. However, the view at The View was amazing! We "rotated" three to times during our 2 hour dinner and never felt rushed.
Been there several times before. Absolutely amazing view of the Times Square especially at night. Average food and cocktails quickly but the view beating all complaints.

The service and the food weren't so exceptional but the experience itself makes this place worth visiting.
We are staying at the hotel and decided to visit the lounge to get some drinks and see the sunset. We were quickly served and the drinks were great, we did a 360° turn over one hour period. It is really beautiful. The buffets looked incredible, specially the dessert buffet.
The food is very good, the only knock on it is that the selection for the main course is not very large. The salad buffet is very good, as well as the deserts. Of course, main reason to come is the amazing 360 view of New York from the 48th floor while you at eating. Cannot beat a spinning restaurant!

The View Restaurant is located right on top of our hotel "Marriott Marquis."My family and I went there on my birthday (8 June)My father recommended this place as you can see the whole city there from the 48 floor.The waiters are very polite there.The ambience was modern and decent.The whole restaurannt rotated so we could see everything.We could even see the empire state building and hudson river where the statue of liberty is located. There was only buffet available there so we planned to try it.We had also ordered a mocktail called "The Bloom."It was a mixture of mango,cranberry,apple,orange,pineapple and mint.It was a very refreshing and exotic drink.
The buffet could have had more choices.The pasta was horrible.The chicken was so yummy and perfectly seasoned.It had nice exotic lime flavour.The desserts were scrumptious and rich.Cheesecakes,fudge,pudding and there cookies were soft and so good.There was a chocolate fountain there in which you could cover marshmallows and cookies in chocolate.The staff was very sweet there thats why as my gift they served us an exotic fruit parfait with a candle on top as my birthday gift.It was so yummy.The fruits were fresh and juicy.There were berries and other summery fruits in it and the the cream on top was fresh,fuffy and luscious.
The food wasn't spot on but you must try this place,you will have a wonderful experience!
Since I was staying at the hotel and it was my daughter's B'day decided to have drinks and dinner here. Place is nice, good ambience and its revolving!! You can see Manhattan 48 floors high... It was only buffet... My bête noire but somehow chicken was nice and pilaf was tolerable. Desserts spears out was huge and nice. Enjoyed the place though it's pricey!! Worth a visit...

As I was staying in the hotel couldn't miss the opportunity to visit the view and the 360 revolving lounge. As soon as we've entered the view was simply amazing. I didn't went for the buffet because I wasn't feeling hungry at all, so we just had a few drinks and enjoyed the view. The buffet looked really nice as well. I would say it's a must do experience, as you can enjoy the view changing while in your seat. The view alone is worth the price (for those of you that like photography, this will be though due to all reflections in the glass, but worth to enjoy it anyway!)
Such an amazing place. The view is just breathtaking a revolving 360 degree view of new york while you eat. Staff are friendly and accomadateing. It was my mothers 60th birthday and they brought out a beautiful cale with candles at no extra cost. Was devine
48 floors above new york with a sumptuous buffet in a revolving lounge is a new york experience to enjoy. The salads were different and desserts were plenty. The entrees could hAve been more. Good service and ambience helps.
Located in the New York Marriott Marquis, Best cosmopolitan ever !, Also the view is just perfect from this revolving rooftop
highly recommended if you are visiting NYC.

Hermoso restaurant ubicado en el piso 48 de hotel marriot . Una privilegiada vista de todo manhattan y sus edificios. La vuelta completa dura 1 hora. Lo mejor te ahorras de pagar 60 dólares por subir al Empire State building.

Beautiful Experience. The wait staff were fantastic, totally friendly and helpful. They never rushed us or scoffed at our questions. The food was delish and the drinks were strong. The view... well I guess that's probably the best part. The chef put together a tasting plate for our dessert when we couldn't decide from the items on the menu. It was probably the most delicious plate of dessert I've ever eaten... it was definitely the most creative. This place is perfect for a special dinner.
Fantastic food, Superb view all around. What better way to spend a night after a Broadway show. It is somewhat expensive.... But it's Manhatten & you get what you pay for!!!!! I highly reccomend it.

Paying for THE VIEW.. Just remember that you are paying for THE VIEW. It IS expensive, but the view is BREATHTAKINGLY AMAZING, especially after dark and if you can go at sunset, you are in for a real treat. The buffet is not huge, but it is sufficient. It seems odd that the entree buffet is the same size at the dessert buffet, but if you have a sweet tooth, this will keep you busy haha I actually recommend going for the cheese & dessert buffet, it is a better value.
Chocolate Fondue Fountain!. While the dining room serves a prix fixe menu, the lounge buffet (1/2 the price) is the secret in NY's only revolving restaurant in the sky. Gaze at Manhattan from breathtaking vantage points, dip strawberries in a chocolate fondue fountain & sip some of the city's most playful cocktails (the Fizz blends champagne, vodka, mango, & fresh berries). Leave after sunset but before 9pm to avoid a cover.

Is a great place to enjoy great food and views of the city! The revolving restraunt can make it hard to find your table if you walk away however. Lol!
Mini onion pot pie was not only the cutest item on the plate, the crispy top broke with the side of the fork and yielded soft, warm onions...I will dream of them.
We started our evening with cocktails -- the signature drink is called the Fizz, a fruity concoction of rum and juice, with strawberries and blueberries. Very nice.
New York's only revolving rooftop restaurant with - as the name implies - great views. On a clear day you can see for miles from The View cocktail lounge on the 48th floor of the Mariott Marquis hotel, Times Square. The lounge revolves 360° every hour so the scenery is constantly - albeit slowly - changing. You can peer down on to Times Square and Broadway below and get a fantastic bird's eye view of the people, traffic and neon advertising boards. This is a must do experience, in New York. And, given the prime location and free views, the cocktails aren't really overpriced. Premium 'signature cocktails' are $19 each, although beers from the wonderful Brooklyn Brewery are only $7.50. While there's a restaurant on the floor above, serving gastro food (seafood from Maine, steaks, pastas, salads, etc) it's worth just paying a visit to the cocktail lounge to sip on a drink or two for an hour and take in the full 360° view. The View was a beautiful place with a very lovely view of the city especially at night. The food was amazing too, there were 4 courses including dessert and the presentation was very nice. There was also a show on the table before every course with a tiny chef and it was very fun to watch. Not only was the food, view and presentation great but all of the workers are so kind and generous with the amount and food too.
My boyfriend took me there for fine dinning experience and without a doubt it’s one of those one time experiences you need to have. Since it was a surprise I had no idea that it was a virtual reality show that needed to start at the same time for all guests. Nevertheless I called the restaurant because we were running 10min late with all the traffic in Times Square. And they were waiting on us to start the show. The view was amazing, the service was amazing as well. And the food was very good too. I was too full to finish my third course but I wish I could of eaten it all. The dessert was the best I have ever had and they added a special message for our anniversary which was a nice touch. They also offer you a wine to pair with every course so three glasses of wine. The whole experience is very unique and outstanding. The pictures doesn’t do justice to what we experienced.

My daughter (9 yr old) and I went to the Le Petit Chef experience, it was amazing!!! The food was amazing!!! The waiter was amazing!!! (He even looked good and smelled amazing). The show was so cute but the food was amazing!!!
Interesting concept. The room rotates 360 as you dine in. Menu is prix fixe during out visit. Unfortunately, it was cloudy and rainy during our visit. What luck. Food was good, but did not live up to the price tag. Service was definitely top notch. My family had a great time. Fortunately, the sky cleared up on the way home, and we caught the sunset. Will revisit again, but next time, probably just the buffet.

The salmon was perfectly medium well but the lentils were slightly undercooked.
The lobster mac was super cheesy, not too salty and the lobster was cooked perfectly the consistency was buttery and juicy.
The truffle mashed potatoes were creamy and the layers of flavor are out of this world.
The view is unlike any other view of the city but because the restaurant turns slowly you may experience slight nausea.
I had my dessert, cheesecake to go, and it was good cheesecake with strawberry sauce and fresh strawberries.
We ordered a bottle of Cristal and our quality of service increased tremendously. Our waiter was never bad, they just became way more attentive once the champagne was order.
The place was packed and there were several people celebrating birthdays, I'd recommend you go here for special occasions unless you're ready to spend 100$+ on a meal on a casual night.
It is a "must" visit if you go to New York. Very romantic dinner. We mentioned we were on our honeymoon and the stuffs were absolutely incredible and kind with us. It is a bit expensive but that is what you get when you visit other countries and, of course, this is a big city. The views at night are amazing. The restaurant is moving while you eat although you don't feel it, so you don't get dizzy. It is an incredible experience that we highly recommend as doing something different in this magical city. We will repeat for sure.
We went for Sunday Brunch during Thanksgiving weekend. The restaurant was mostly empty during our 10am seating, but was filling quickly toward 12 noon when we left.
Service, views, and food were all top notch. We plan to return next Thanksgiving.
The two hour brunch buffet is about $65 per person and worth it, in my opinion.

This is a revolving restaurant on the 48th floor. As the name suggests: while tasting foods, you can overlook the night view of Manhattan in 360 degrees.
The restaurant offered a fixed menu with 3 courses of meal. The food and the service are fine, not great. But the desert of New York Cheesecake is the best cheesecake I ever had.
I do not think you need make a special trip to eat there. If you stay in that hotel, it’s ok to try there. But don’t expect too much.
I went there for my birthday and the experience was nothing short of astounding. The elevator that leads to the lounge gives you beautiful views of the hotel. Mind you, there is an $8 cover charge after 8pm on all days.
The buffet was brilliant with endless salad and dessert options. Meat variety was not that much but you can't ask for anything more for just $40. I tried 7-8 different cocktails and all of them were great.
Our server Pete impressed us with his quick and polite service. He even made a special dessert for me with cream and strawberries and put candles on it to make it special for my bday!
It takes roughly 70mins for you to get one 360 degree rotation. The views are amazing. Planning to come back again during the daytime!
A great spot for a romantic dinner or drinks and small bites from the lounge. You great great views from the 48th floor and you rotate full circle in an hour. A perfect spot for cocktails with a sunset view! The only drawback is if you are not a hotel guest they charge $8 person cover.
Came for dinner during restaurant week to celebrate my anniversary, I felt that there was a great value in the $42 restaurant week special because you get 3 courses, all which were delicious. I had an excellent server named Eric who was extremely attentive and was excited to share a few jokes along with suggestions on meal and drink choice. As we were celebrating our anniversary, our desserts came decorated with a little sign wishing us a happy anniversary. I loved that personal touch- it was very sweet and made our experience that much more memorable. We had a window seat so we had great views of Manhattan.
This restaurant was absolutely wonderful. The staff is incredibly attentive and so helpful. The food was great and the portions were very filling. When I ordered dessert, I accidentally got the wrong one and once I let our waiter know, the mistake was immediately corrected and the proper one was brought out. It was a wonderful evening.
It was wonderful experience eventhough we didn't expect it would be buffet not a fine dining. Cold cuts and desserts are amazing. Our server Antonio (Spanish version of Richard Gere) was wonderful! Enjoy your time and don't forget to make a reservation ahead of time. You can do it online.
