This place has some excellent food. There are plenty of great choices in the menu. The dishes come with delicious salad. Chicken Souvlaki is one of their most popular dish. I liked it a lot. Other Souvlaki are also very popular. We went during lunch hour, surprisingly, it wasn't too busy. Our order came out pretty quickly. Overall, we were very happy with experience and the service.

Been coming here for almost 20 years. It is still so good. The staff is awesome and the food is always fresh and delicious. The grilled octopus 🐙 is outstanding
Omg! Such good food! Real hearty 💕food cooked to order - served straight out of the oven or grill! The octopus is grilled 🔥and showered in balsamic vinegar. The feta cheese baked with 🍅 is browned and top and warm and perfect for spreading on warmed pita bread. Margaritas 🍹 are not bad at $10 each. Lamb 🐑 chops 🍖 warm and perfectly grilled. I dont care for potatos but i love these lemon potatos!
Visited Uncle Nick’s a few times in the last couple of months. Delicious no nonsense Greek food in a comfortable unassuming place. The Gyro platter very good. Generous portion of lamb and beef, with rice, salad, pita and tzatziki sauce. Lamb kabob with rice also very good. The baklava excellent. The saganaki (flaming cheese) to die for. Nice wait staff reasonable prices.
Great atmosphere, fresh and simple delicious Greek food , nice selection of Greek wines , full bar, Now they serve Bottomless Brunch every Sat and Sun. Perfect place to hung out with friends and have dinner or brunch .
Amazing, authentic, delicious, great atmosphere, great service!
I was craving Greek food and my friend suggested this place. The food was AMAZING and it was average priced, maybe even a little cheaper when you consider the portions. I’m pretty sure it’s the first time we all went out and ordered totally separate items off the menu: there’s so much variety you can find something to satisfy any craving.
We went at 8pm on a Sunday, so I can’t really speak to how crowded it usually is. There were not many people in the restaurant when we were here and service was average paced (not super fast but certainly not bad or slow).
Highly recommend.
Delicious authentic food. Our fish was grilled to perfection. Vegetable dishes all seasoned delicately. Great service. Home made baklava and galactaboureko if you have room... We returned just to have dessert for lunch the next day. Not disappointed!
I love this place! Great authentic Greek food with very fair prices for Manhattan. It's my go to place when I'm going to a show with friends. I always get their vegetable moussaka and we always get a dipping platter to share with extra hummus. I really enjoy their desserts so I'll take any which one I'm in the mood for to go.
Great Greek very authentic. Be prepared for garlic breath. Great attentive service
Amazing Greek food. The fish is delicious. I loved the salmon steak. The whole fish are really good too. Such a variety. And the dips are to die for. They could me with warm, fresh pita bread. Greek salad was great. And finished with the best baklavah I've ever had in my whole entire life.
One of our go-to places in Hell's Kitchen. Tonight we shared the appetizer platter for 2 and the grilled octopus appetizer. Delicious and plenty of food for 2. Also, fine selection of Greek wines. Service always friendly, even when the restaurant is full.
If you notice. The vast majority of reviews below are 5 stars. The reason being. The owner brings in fresh hand chosen fish from the market daily.
Uncle Nicks is not a road side Falaval place. Uncle Nicks is a relaxing gourmet restaurant that serves both inexpensive fresh Gyros, the best grilled octopus in the city, fresh daily fish choices, grilled Feta salads sword fish kabobs lamb chops and good wine.
Please enjoy. As our family has for the past 20 years.
Truly made our Saturday night. We had takeout tonight but have eaten in many times. Always fantastic service, fresh and delicious healthy REAL GREEK food. We're so happy that everything was just as delicious by takeout (and equally as romantic!) as in house. thank you!!
Overall, food was good. Service was excellent. The staff there really hustled. We were there on a Friday night, around 6:30pm for a pre-show dinner. Between the 4 of us, we sampled the Gyro platter, Veggie Moussaka, and a pork souvlaka, all of which were very good. No complaints. If we are in the area again, it would be an option, but not a "must go back to" kind of place.
Came here for a business lunch with 4 other people and it was great. We ordered a lot of stuff to share like the flaming cheese, a dip and pita platter, a whole fried fish, grilled octopus, and fried little fish. Everything was very good. 3 people also ordered their own dishes: chicken souvlaki, beef souvlaki and grilled salmon. The boss then continued to order two and a half pitchers of white wine. The service was good and the wait time was a whole 3 minutes lol. In the end our bill came out to 150? So it was pretty amazing.
My only complaint was the air conditioner that was blasting over us. We sat towards the back by the bar and they have individual AC units installed instead of central cooling so because of that they need to blast it to cool the entire restaurant but if you're sitting in front of it- it's freezing.
This restaurant has great food and has a fun atmosphere. They have an ample selection of grilled fishes and meats, fresh salads and different Mediterranean appetizers. They are reasonable priced and have quick service. They are located in close proximity to the theater district for theater goers.
