Had a great time with friends at this French restaurant. The food was excellent, and the music was at a pleasant volume for conversation. However, the tight space might not be suitable for kids, and the bread was a bit disappointing for my taste. Overall, a good dining experience.

Still one of the best brunch places. My brunch favorites are French Toast and Eggs Copenhagen. Their café au lait in a bowl is great too. They do a mean steak au poivre for dinner too. One wish: bring back the tripes Lyonnaise the Boudin Blanc. This restaurant has shown remarkable consistency over the years including the staff some of whom still recognize us from the time our daughter, now 23, was still a toddler. I'd like to commend L'Express for bringing back French Toast and the Benedicts, including Eggs Copenhagen, to their weekday breakfast menu. Sadly but understandably since Covid it is no longer open 24 hours.

Usually we stop by for a drink but this time we had lunch and it wasn't great. My husband's fish sandwich was raw in the middle and my goat cheese salad was just OK. We were really disappointed because the drinks are fantastic and so is the atmosphere. Since it gets good reviews, I am thinking it was an off day - maybe because it was the day before Thanksgiving. I love the St. Germain Spritz and there is a Pomplemousse (grapefruit) cocktail that is outstanding.

Went for lunch and had the full program: sour dough bread with butter (unfortunately salted Irish and not french)French, bone marrow onion soup, liver with mashed potatoes and creme Brule. Waitress was nice and attentive soup was good but would not order again. A tick touch thyme. And def not doing for lunch again. Overall experience was nice.

If you love good food, this is the place. Tartar and creme brulee are the best things I've eaten in New York.

L’Express is the right spot if you are looking for a good late night dinner they are open until 4am according to google. I’ve been here on several occasions throughout the years and they have always been consistent. I tried the Eggplant Rollatini here and it was delicious, those who have an affinity for cheese will love it. We also ordered the Steak Frites with the Au poivre sauce, I’d certainly recommend you get the sauce as it elevates the dish. We also got the organic Salmon with wild rice which was also good. One of the reasons why I love this spot is for their chocolate mouse cake, it has a rich chocolate flavor with just a slight sweetness, it is divine. Ambiance is nice and service is great from the host to the waiters.

What can I say you land at Kennedy at midnight, you take a cab to the hotel, then you walk to L'Express for dinner. It's how you start your holiday. The beef tartare, maybe the best I've had. The escargot, approved of by a Parisian. L'Ambiance, low lighting, it all works. Quintessential New York. Quintessential Park Avenue. You sort of think you're in a French bistro. Highly recommended.

Lovely restaurant, friendly staff, great ambiance. I suggest a reservation because it's popular among locals! The food was served fresh and hot. The hostess and waitress were phenomenal. Sesame Tuna was so delicious and rich. A must try!!!

Accessible French food at accessible prices. Nothing too pretentious, nothing too ornate, some duck, some tartare, some bread and wine. The food is great, the menu is simple and superb. Great spot!

I came here with a friend from out of town around Christmas and she was craving Creme BrĂ»lĂ©e. We had dinner at a restaurant that didn’t offer creme brĂ»lĂ©e for dessert but recommended Lexpress. We stepped in from the freezing cold and were welcomed by a cheerful hostess. The atmosphere was warm and cozy and replete with Christmas decor. We ordered our Creme BrĂ»lĂ©e with a cup of coffee and it fulfilled our highest expectations! It was a nice size and one of the best I’ve ever had. French folks in the neighborhood eat here so you know it’s authentic. People at a nearby table ordered the mussels which looked amazing and I’m eager to try those and the onion soup soon! Update: Came here for a birthday on a busy Saturday night with a bunch of people and we ordered the burger, Murray’s Chicken, and for dessert Panna Cotta, Almond Tart, and Creme BrĂ»lĂ©e. All very good!

This is a great place! The food is good and the staff wonderful. Our server was Carmen and she was a difference maker. I had a lot of questions about the menu and she answered all of them with a smile. It was my first time here so I asked for a recommendation and she suggested a couple of things, but I went safe and settle for the grill salmon with rice and spinach. It was delicious. She suggested a Sauvignon blank to pair with the salmon and it was a great choice. Absolutely a great dinner.
