A bit noisy for my likes when its busy. Great Belgium beer. La Chouffe on tap! If you want a real table I'd suggest a reservation, otherwise good luck getting a bar seat. The spaghetti bolognese is pretty good. No bread but a hearty serving.
Plus...they were jamming some really good Mowtown classics.
Came for their unlimited mussels on a Monday with my family, and we enjoyed every single choice! Service is amazing, the servers are not only knowledgeable but are quick and attentive, and got rid of our mussel shells when our bowls were full. Can't wait to be back!
I love this cafe as a part of the city
Especially the people working here are usually or always cheerful!!
Their interiors remind you of vintage times for sure and the music is a total hit. I like the vibe here even though I don’t consume alcohol
Been here 3 times in the past year and couldn’t pass it up today while strolling through the city. Great staff, great selection of beer and food. Walking distance to time square. Be back in a couple months.
Great selection of brews (the house beer is a great one to start with). I missed the mussels sorely (first visit since pre-covid). Great time with friends!
Friendly and nice staff, good ambiance and tasty food. Convenient popular spot. Steak and mussels were perfect! Leffe blond is everything!
Great time with my friends at this restaurant. The hostess was very pleasant, made us feel like home. Our server was amazing, very friendly, always smiling, he seems to enjoy what he does. The mussels were fantastic. I liked the atmosphere in this restaurant, really good vibes.
Food was fantastic. We got a steak sandwich which was delicious. Well marinated and the sauteed onions with it were perfect. Avocado salad has a great amount of ripe avocado and a delicious dressing. Beer was cold and authentic.
The overall environment of BXL cafe is lively. The small space contributes to a warm culture. Waiters are responsive and offered helpful tips. The food was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Wait times were disproportionate to the quantity and quality of the food offered. We ordered an espresso, Belgium waffles, and another small desert, but had to wait a significant amount of time for our order. This place is ideal for those looking to grab a drink and lounge in a bar environment.
Great restaurant! We went to BXL for dinner before and we're very pleased. The mussels were simply amazing and could easily be shared as a meal for 2. The chicken on puff pastry was also delicious and I would highly recommend it. The overall service was great and in particular, Conner was a great and friendly server, thanks Conner! They also have a great Belgium beer selection. Overall a great evening during our trip to NYC!
Loved this Belgian bar/restaurant! A little gem in the heart of midtown with the friendliest staff, a great beer selection and delicious food that is served in generous portions. Comfy outdoor seating is available, bar seating and a dining area indoors. I was surprised by how many tables there were in the dining area when I walked back...it appears deceptively small due to its cozy charm. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a delicious burger with brie and an enormous serving of muscles in white sauce. Seriously the biggest serving of muscles I've ever seen in a restaurant. Both served with French fries with ketchup and mayo...my fave. The bartender was great and he and another worker (maybe they are owners) often spoke in fluent French which made me feel like this place was authentically Bemgian.
Legit Belgian bar! Beer selection was great. Food was spot on. Service was.. fine.. which in my experience is true to the authentic Belgian bar experience in most cases 😉. Perfect easy stop if you're looking for a casual pre-show dinner spot or just in the mood for some Belgian brews!
Nice little pub on W43rd Street which offers food and drink until the early hours. Good selection of drinks and the staff were very friendly. Seating areas available for dining and bar area if you just want to sit and drink whilst watching the game.
Very friendly and attentive staff, some of whom actually speak French. I got the soupe à l'oignon gratinée and croque monsieur. Not as good as the real Belgian fries I had in France, but the closest I have had on this side of the Atlantic! Highly recommend
Surprisingly good. The salmon was so excellent I went back for it a 2nd night in a row. Cool place, very good service. Nice mix of patrons, many locals, some tourists. Although busy was able to get a table pre-theater without reservations. Lively but not noisy. Not big and not small. Well laid out with space in front, then bar then dining room. French bistro vib but Belgian.

This trip I only stopped in for a beer. Their beer selection is great and the service is excellent. I have eaten here many times and never been disappointed.

Real Belgian Cafe in NY. And we are Belgians! Wawww. We had Tripel Karmeliet from the tap but the second round beer came in a Duvel glass. Think they need more glasses 😊. But was nice!!! Lots of Belgian beers.
Had best ever calamari period.
