Nice atmosphere. Food was amazing, seems as higher quality. Well trained staff - however, there is no need to do tourist tricks. Really no need, it just ruins the overall impression. If you give the tap bottled water to local, give the same to tourists, do not bring us 12$ bottled water. It’s really not necessary to use cheap tricks while everything else is very good.
5* in overall from my end and hope you will change your attitude.
"Sant Ambroeus West Village is an absolute gem for pasta lovers! The vibes are cozy, and the staff makes you feel right at home. Now, let's talk about the pasta – it's like a flavor explosion in every bite! Perfectly cooked, rich, and downright delicious. The whole experience is a treat for your taste buds. Trust me, if you're into authentic Italian pasta, this place is a must-visit. Can't wait to go back for more!"
This location is alot better than the one at Brookfield tastewise.
My party and I were in the area and they wanted to go to Sant Ambroeus. I reluctantly went along and so glad I gave it another chance!
The food at *this location* was delicious lol.
Had the Pasta Nerano and Tuna Salad.
One of the best things I've ever had was their sunflower bread. Which i didnt get at brookfield. Omg I can't stop thinking about that bread.
We came for breakfast. The French toast was divine! Beautiful atmosphere, excellent service— will return for our next NYC visit.
Pretty amazing Italian restaurant in the west village. Inside and outside seating on a relatively quiet street. The interior is very nicely decorated, lightly good and balanced. Full bar, however fairly small. Found all dishes to be really well prepared and plated. Deserts are not too sweet but just right. Reservations suggested. Highly recommended.
Still as great as it was before…I’ve had dinner, lunch, brunch here multiple times and at several of their locations. This trip included a perfect cappuccino and a delicious flaky croissant 🥐 with apricot jam. The service has always been top notch. The quality has never disappointed. It can be pricey depending on what you get, but not one experience felt overpriced. I hadn't been in a while and was a little nervous that like many places this might have lost a little magic, was thrilled to discover its as good as ever. Looking forward to returning.
It was a great experience, ideal service, delicious food, perfect wine options, relaxing outdoor seating. What else do you need after your busy day at work?
lovely boiled eggs and pancakes for breakfast with my friend the booths outside are so sweet and the waiters so lovely.
Super buona. Closest thing to true Milanese food I've found in NYC (da vero) The vitello tonnato was my favorite of everything we ate. My table also split 3 pastas, each was really good. I think I preferred the vongole the most. Had a perfect negroni, a very well priced nebbiolo and finished everything of with a glass of Braulio. The tiramisu was fantastic and the principessa cake reminded me a bit of the cake from Marchesi (almost). Highly recommend.
I enjoyed this place and not just because I was over-served while I was at the Yankees game before coming here. They have a great array of options on the menu. I don’t know many other places you can go to that have great lobster tacos and meatballs the size of your face. To top it off they had Red Stripe on the menu. Hooray for beer.
