Great restaurant. Came as the place was just about to open, was seated right away. Very good service with good timing between dishes, didn't feel rushed. Great experience overall. Ordered salad, Vodka pizza, spaghetti, and tiramisu. Everything was delicious.
Delicious Italian food in a really warm inviting setting. The only complaint is in regard to the dessert menu. The options are very limited and the the brioche filled with whipped cream and dark chocolate was just downright … bad. It tasted like a stale dinner roll stuffed with mediocre whipped cream. Neither of us enjoyed it and thankfully our waitress removed it from the bill. An unfortunate ending to an otherwise delicious meal. I highly recommend the chicken Milanese entree!
Our waiter, Jim, was phenomenal. He explained the menu to us when we sat down and provided recommendations. All of the appetizers were pretty unique and the table enjoyed them. My entree was the grilled pork combo and the flavor combination with the peaches and pork chop was both savory and sweet. It could have been a little bit saltier though. The chicken milanese was also super delicious, maintaining its crispiness even with the sauce on top. My friends brought a cake to surprise me for an early birthday celebration and the waiter took photos for us. They also cut up and plated the cake so nicely for us, but there was a $4 per person plating fee.
The restaurant had great service and incredible atmosphere. We loved every bit of it. Our starters and meals were amazing and we were wowed by the fresh sorbet and gelato. Definitely recommend!
The cacio e pepe was done well, and the ingredients were all super fresh. They use in season ingredients which makes for delicious and sustainable meals. Also, the music was perfect.
The staff was very friendly and the food was really good. They make a decent pizza.
Great for groups. Good vegetarian and non veg options. Love this place. 1000% will come back. We came as a group of 6 to celebrate the year end. Food was fantastic. We had a good mix of appetizers, pizzas and pastas. Service is outstanding.
Server was very personable and knowledgeable. Meal was coursed within appropriate time, we weren’t rushed or waiting. Well rounded beer selection
Absolutely LOVE this place. Such a great vibe and the food is impeccable! Celebrated my birthday here recently with a few friends and everyone was impressed. Adriana, the event planner, was extremely helpful and kind when I was organizing the event and I am so grateful for her assistance. The prix fixe is SO MUCH FOOD and we couldn't stop eating, nor did we want to. It was that good. Will definitely be back.
The crispy sweet onion was a fancy onion ring with cheese dip BUT nonetheless it was a delicious fancy fried onion dish, and the chip shape of the onions made it easy to transport the fonduta (the real star) into my mouth.
Radiatori: It was smothered in red tomato sauce and had pieces of buffalo mozzarella, a few leaves of basil, and some eggplant in it. I was sold on the eggplant and mozzarella part and yet there was so little of especially the eggplant in there. It was salty, but not inedibly so. I prefer slightly over salted to under salted anyway.
Very nice spot for brunch in NYC. We particularly enjoyed the eggs (purgatory) and orange juice. The pancakes were nice but could be more fluffy. Really excellent service!
Not to be dramatic, but it was the best pasta dish I’ve had in nyc and I’ve lived here for 4 years. We ordered 4 dishes and each had such unique and delicious flavors, will definitely be returning.
the service staff was attentive and friendly without being pushy. we did not have a reservation and were treated with care and respect by the hosts. the music was a mix of 80’s hits and many people in the dining room were singing along quietly to themselves, which we loved.
the entire service team was cohesive and integrated - from front of the house to back.
the food was unpretentious and the menu accessible, and it also came out piping hot and tasted fantastic. my partner and i shared a Sausage and Pepper Pizza and the Chicken Milanese. the pizza crust was fresh and baked to perfection - just thin enough to be light and airy without tasting like matzoh. the sausage was delicious and the peppers were surprisingly tender and sweet. the chicken cutlet portion was huge, the sauce bright and flavorful, the panko breading crunchy - all was perfect.
thank you for an impactful first experience (we have of course visited both Rosie’s and Cook Shop many times but never had the opportunity to try Vic’s). we will be back!
Yes, it's an expensive place but much cheaper than the value I got from it. Now it's one of my favorite Italian restaurants.
Food tastes very unique and impressive, and please ask recommendation if you have no idea. They will choose the best option for you. Also, they keep your coats if requested. Its beautiful interior should also be acknowledged.
Two of us dined here earlier this week when visiting from the UK and it was fabulous. The food was all terrific, excellent wine list, the ambience was really good and our server excellent. Our favourite place we went all week.
The food and service was very good. The dinning room was nicely light and comfortable. The portions are not quite on par for the prices. Had ro order more food after the entree. No drinks, three people $150.
My now husband and I hosted an intimate surprise wedding reception at Vic’s and were once again reminded why this is one of the best restaurants in NYC!
Small back story- We came here 10 years ago on a first date when the restaurant was called 5 Points. It was awesome then but has continued to wow us as Vic’s. Consistent, quality dishes, plenty of options for all and easy-going friendly service! A no-brainer when the time came to pick a reception location to celebrate with friends.
To the management and entire staff working the night of Monday September 11, 2023: you were all so fun and cute!! You made us feel super special and we are forever grateful!! Thank you thank you! See you soon or next September at the very least!
Went for Sunday brunch, and the dining experience was amazing! Every single employee was happy and bubbly, and our servers were amazing. The food was great, and the ambience of the restaurant was also amazing. Really appreciate the music volume and decor inside. Would highly recommend sharing plates and going with larger groups as there is a lot of good dishes to try :)
The appetizers were the highlight of this meal: arancini, potatoes, and my favorite thing of the meal - sweet onions with a delicious cheese dip. The entrees were solid but nothing exceptional. Service was attentive and good! Fair price too. Would recommend.
Was here the other night with my mom! It was our first time dining and Tony our server was excellent. He was so kind and noticed I didn’t like my drink. He recommended another one to switch out and it was good! He gave excellent service and I feel he should be acknowledged for that! He made the dining experience 100% better.
