Reviews Morton's The Steakhouse

I would advise the lunch menu, the portions are smaller comparing to the original ones 'a la carte', but it's a good way to try different flavors. I don't believe anyone can avoid nibbing the onion bread they serve warm. Highlights for me were the NY trip medium cooked exactly as ordered and the cheesecake.

The food here at Morton’s was very very nice. I was extremely pleased with how my steak was cooked (very difficult to find restaurants that cook to one’s liking) and the fries were the best I had in Manhattan since I arrived for this specific trip. It was pretty quite on the inside but the staff were great and attentive. Only issue we found was the beer was all bottled, no draft. Toilets were very cleaned and well taken care of. I would come back here to morton’s if I were in the area looking for a nice steak.

The restaurant is beautiful and the food and drinks were superb. The atmosphere was great also. My only issue is that it could have been warmer downstairs where we were. It was quite chilly.

Absolute go-to place for eating meat in lower Manhattan. I’ve eaten here several times and it never disappoints. The meat is always cooked as requested, the seafood in incredibly tasty, deserts are delicious. Finally, the service is one of the best I have received. I strongly recommend this place.

Wrapped up a project and decided to celebrate with a nice meal. This was nearby the office and had solid reviews on Google guides, so I gave it a try despite it being a Friday night. To my surprise, there were plenty of tables available, and I was seated right away. The server was very friendly and was quick with my order. The order was perfectly prepared and tasted amazing. Probably top ten from steaks I have had. All in an amazing experience, and I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

At first glance this restaurant is not really special or unique, but the steak and the appetizer’s where fenomenal, the waiters where really friendly, the desserts where not bad just not as good as the food

People are saying “when you go to a steakhouse, you have to get the steak!” I totally agree! I ordered fillet mignon and lobster entree. The fillet mignon was very tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned with garlic butter. I ordered medium well and it was perfect. It wasn’t dry at all. Unfortunately, the lobster was a little over cooked. As you can see on the picture, it shrunk a lot. I could’ve just skipped the lobster and got a bigger steak, 8 oz instead of 4 oz. The crab cake was alright for me. It tasted a little plain. Since I’m from MD, I might be really picky about crabs. I’m so used to having MD blue crabs. So I don’t think this one is MD blue crabs. Marylanders usually say, “Don’t order crab cake if you’re outside MD, because you more likely will get disappointed.” Most of the time it’s true. I tried a little bit of the mashed potatoes. It’s delicious! The bacon wrapped sea scallop is a little over cooked as well. It tasted good though. The wagyu meatball is ok. I didn’t try the miso marinated sea bass. But my coworker said it’s really good. I’m going to try that next time I go back here. I probably try the one in MD location.

We went during restaurant week and it was great! Service was impeccable and their portions were huge! For starters, we got the lobster bisque and caesar salad. For mains, we ordered their t-bone steak, filet mignon and salmon. For dessert, we got the key lime pie and hot chocolate cake. I highly recommend the t-bone steak which was seasone well, the hot chocolate cake which had the perfect amount of sweetness and lobster bisque which also was not as salty as others I've tried. Overall, a great experience!

Dined here for Restaurant Week Winter 2020. We were seated in the lower area of the restaurant and enjoyed the decor and ambiance. Our entrees were cooked well and the sides were delicious. The drink prices are less desirable. $17 for a mojito is definitely uncalled for. I've dined at many top rated steakhouses in Manhattan and this as the first where I paid such a steep price for a basic drink. Anywhere from $10-14 would have been more reasonable. Pricing all their drinks at the same price even though not the same grade of alcohol should be reviewed and revised. Overall hospitality was good.

We ate here while staying at the club quarters hotel. The food was really excellent. I had the bone odd prime rib which was amazingly tender and very tasty. Would go back in a flash. Highly recommend.

Atmosphere: Modern & sleek. Wait: None. Reservation?: No Staff: Incredible Price: Higher side. Food: The fresh onion bread had great flavor and was soft and warm. The escargot had great flavors and the perfect cook. Ordered the porterhouse steak, medium rare with the blue cheese butter. Porterhouse is my favorite cut but I tend not to order as it usually is over cooked or flavor is just wrong. Mortons however did not disappoint. The seer on the steak was the right amount and the flavor was satisfying. Another incredible tying to try is the horseradish mashed potatoes.
