We stopped by Banter for brunch on a Saturday around 11am and were surprised the wait was already over an hour. In total we waited nearly an hour and a half and while the food and drinks were tasty, I’m not sure I would wait that long again. We were seated inside and, despite it being pretty cold outside, wished we were seated in the outdoor seating area. The inside is quite cozy and loud since the drinks station is dead center, so you have to tune out the clanging and crashing of cups and plates. The outside area was much quieter despite being near the street and cars. We ordered the banter bowl with grilled chicken, and the green vitality and fresh start juices. The banter bowl tasted very fresh and light while still being very filling. The miso ponzu dressing tied all the fresh ingredients together and definitely made the fish. The chicken was slightly rough and dry. The green vitality was my favorite juice and tasted very green, with particular notes of celery. The fresh start was quite tart and had a nice hint of ginger, but wasn’t for me. Overall I left Banter feeling satisfied, refreshed, and full enough to continue my day in the city.

Recommend this place the wait on the weekend will be significant and you may wait even if it’s your turn on the wait list…. But it’s worth the wait. Their brunch is delicious. My friend said they had the best fried chicken sandwich. Nice and crispy pickles. I got an egg dish yay had kale mushrooms and avocado. I found the eggs bland but their hot spice fixed that. Great drinks. Good ambiance cozy quarters and good service.

Banter big breakfast was delicious. On Sunday afternoon the wait was only 20 min, and the food came out super fast. Everything was fresh and delicious. Not so much for the vibe, but everyone was friendly and nice.

I absolutely love breakfast and brunch and when I discovered that this restaurant serves breakfast all day I had to come and try it. I ordered an ice coffee with oat milk and the overnight oats with toasted coconut and berry compote. Both was absolutely delicious! I will definitely come back to try other things because I really enjoyed my experience there.

30 minute wait to get into the bustling cafe. I got the buttermilk chicken sandwich and a capuccino. Sandwich was good but not great. The accompanying sweet potato fries were awesome though. Capuccino is better than local American coffee but still doesn't compare to true Australian coffee

I understand what the hype is about. Great sweating outside, lovely service, and a great breakfast - I had their ciabatta roll with egg and bacon and extra avocado. Portion was big but if this was for lunch it would’ve been perfect. As it was my breakfast it was too big but absolutely delicious. The espresso martini was a bit bitter but the service was so friendly it does deserve its 5*

Delicious falafel bowl and chill dudes running the place who went to school nearby me in Virginia. A warm and cozy veranda too. Banter is a solid West Village lunch spot. Check it out!

Clearly labeled gluten free options. The fries are even in a dedicated fryer so for someone like myself with celiac that’s a big win! This wrap was so good I confirmed with my server that it was gluten free.

Brunch was great! The stuffed French toast was a winner and the chicken salad wrap was amazing also. Needless to say I cleaned my plates. If you sit outdoors during cold weather you’ll be fine, the heaters work wonderfully. A slight draft through the cracks in the deck but your coat over your legs saves the day.

We came in around 9:15am on a Sunday and we were able to get seated right away. The restaurant was at about 80% capacity at the time since it’s one of the few ones open for brunch before 10am. I got the salmon toast and really enjoyed it. I also did the green vitality juice and it was also good!

This place is super busy over the weekend and you can see why - they have an excellent selection of brunch options and the service is highly efficient. The golden folded eggs and the Mushroom Toast with soft scrambled eggs on the side were both excellent. The tangerine ginger tea was also very good. Highly recommend!

The mushroom toast was pretty good. There is a mushroom toast that I really love at Maison Cafe at Dana Point and that one has really set a high bar. I’m looking forward to trying other menu items here next time. We sat outside and it was lovely, and easy to get a table on a weekday morning.

I found this restaurant in google and it’s a very nice brunch-restaurant. Very cozy place with polite staff. They have outdoor seating with heaters. The Nutella French toast was amazing. Bacon & egg roll was ok, not my favorite it was too greasy for me. Their cappuccino was one of my favorite things there. Definitely recommend this place.
