Super cute place. The lamb burger is a must try (don't worry. Medium rare is perfect. Not gammy at all. Just juicy and tasty!!) Bloody Mary & Maria are so so. A little pricy.
We were excited to finally try Breslin once it reopened and were not disappointed. Service was great and well timed. We got the deviled eggs and summer squash salad - perfect starters - and shared the dry aged ribeye burger and the banana salted caramel pudding. So filling. Drinks were well crafted as well. Definitely a spot to return to for burger date night, or a fun place to hang out with friends! They have cozy old timey booths complete with curtains
This place is known for their lamb burger and it's delicious! It's topped with onion and feta cheese and served with some amazing fries. The bun is a hard roll, which makes it a little hard to eat.
The cask beer is like an IPA so be prepared.
The lights are dimmed and the mood is perfect for dinner with friends or a date. I had the scotch egg (a bit salty) and the lamb burger, which is about twice the amount you would expect from a burger - amazing! Their special for the night, lamb shank, took the trophy for best dish of the night!
Good spot for breakfast food - their eggs are great and filling! The ambiance is a bit too dark, especially when it’s a nice and sunny day outside, but barring that it was a lovely meal.
This is a really nice and intimate place to have dinner. The service was exquisite and the food was delicious. I had the scotch egg to start which was very tasty. It's hard to find this well prepared in NY, this place definitely hit the mark. The lamb dish for dinner was also amazing -- elegantly plated and delicious.
The Breslin was an impromptu decision that Sunday morning. My wife and I wanted to try somewhere new and we definitely found it at The Breslin! The restaurant is in the Ace Hotel, a beautiful boutique hotel located on 29th Street close to the Flatiron building. The Breslin interior goes well with the funky design of the Ace Hotel lobby. When you walk in your first impression is that it's dark. When your eyes grow accustomed to the surroundings you can see the wonderful details hidden in the dark on dark design. Subtle textures become bold and it feels both primeval and romantic. The tables are small and seating is cozy but the staff floats gracefully through the space never bumping into my chair. The food is comforting and delicious. I had the Breslin breakfast, fried eggs with both pork and blood sausage, roasted tomatoes and mushrooms, lamb bacon, thick whole wheat toast with strawberry preserves and butter. So good. I can't wait till the next time I'm in New York and have dinner there.
Lamb burger, thrice cook chips and cheese sandwich (with ham) are all excellent, but the service can be hit or miss. Prices are a bit expensive, but portions are big.
Truly one of the best lamb burgers in town. They make it to your liking and the service is outstanding. The fries are so yummy they're addictive. Tomorrow back to no carbs but today I eat carbs!
Had to come a few times before they had the lamb burger in stock. Average price for above average portion, good taste.
Dined in and had the standard medium rare burger, which came with fries. Taste was good, full of flavour and savoury, though could be a bit dry especially when eating the bun.
