So pleased that we booked a table here. Watched the 2017 AFL Grand Final, downed Boags & burgers, Tiges won..life is good. Great service , great food. Jess, our waitress, was fantastic! Highly recommend
Best place in NY to watch the rugby. Especially if you are an Aussie. Great Aussie food, beer and the staff are true Aussies. Fun, caring and best at hospitality.
Really enjoyed the place. Had been here several years ago for drinks only and had a good time. Decided to have lunch this time around and the burger and pulled pork were great. Next time I will definitely try the kangaroo :)

Nicest waiter, best Moscow Mule and buttermilk chicken sandwich!
Great bar to get a little bit of home. Coopers on tap. Good food . Plenty of screens showing the rugby. Staff are awesome. If you get the chance, it's well worth finding. Only a couple of blocks from Times Square. Cheers
Watched the State of Origin at 6am live! They provided bar service so no one blocked your view getting drinks. Very clever! Warm and friendly establishment. Highly recommend you pop in for a drink at least.
Good Aussie pub. When i asked what beer they have they didn't give me the fosters bull shit.. acdc on the stereo
Amazing joint for some authentic Aussie pub grub! There's footy and cricket on the TV, the meat pies and hot and fresh, they have some authentic Aussie-style schnitzel, the staff is really friendly, and I dare you to try their kangaroo on a stick. I wish they had VB and Tooheys, however. GO RABBITOHS!
Fabulous establishment, friendly service, great tasting drinks and awesome location. A must visit for any Aussie visiting NYC. They show all the AFL games live...aaaamazing. Watched the Tigers down the Saints last August. A night to remember
Best fish tacos on earth 🌏♥️😋 can’t wait to go back there
Absolutely beautiful food and extremely friendly and helpful staff, our waitress Makayla was lovely I would not hesitate in recommending The Australian to anyone thank you for an enjoyable evening
Great calamari, great martinis! Loved the Christmas decor. The place felt very much like 'home' in a sense that it was far less crowded than many other bars in NYC! Would definitely go back.
We loved it... food great service great and it was warm & a safe & friendly place especially out of the cold weather. Sorry we missed you Matt. Trish said Hi take care cheers Julie & Russell
Good food, excellent service. The reason for 4 stars? The online menu isn't accurate as it lists items that aren't available and there are not many choices if you are vegetarian.
Delicious Australian food (kangaroo pie, minced meat pie) cozy atmosphere. Friendly staff. Sports on but not loud. Highly recommend for an afternoon break or an evening hang out in midtown Manhattan
Found this lovely bar while walking around the city with my better half. The original plan was one and done and to keep bar hoping., but they were playing excellent tunes and it was such a good vibe in there.
I decided to switch from beer to a proper drink (an old fashion) and our bar tender Josh S. was not only incredibly friendly but he convinced me to try Rye instead of Bourbon and it was the best Old Fashion drink I ever had! It was Soo good I ordered 2 more and it was a great way to finish our day.
Shout out to Bar Tender Josh S.! Thank you for the excellent service and friendly conversation. Cheers!
As an ex pat Aussie visiting the city it was refreshing to have genuine food and beverages from the motherland.
Great hospitality from the staff and a nice community feeling in such a large city. One of my favorite places to eat.
Some big names have eaten here - like Shannon Noll !!! 🤩
Delicious food, lovely bartenders & the Australians at the bar took me in and were very friendly!

Comfort food for Aussie expats, AFL/NRL on the TVs, and a pretty good beer and cocktail list
Really cute bar with a lot of authentic character (Aussie owned). Food is surprisingly decent. Great place to go to watch cricket or rugby.
Great atmosphere, excellent food...and Australian Rules Football!!!
Had a great night watching the AFL Grand Final, friendly staff. Buffalo wings and parma were great.
Had an 18 oz T bone steak here. It was really good. I don't usually eat steak at restaurants because they either don't have good quality meats or they don't cook them correctly. Not so here. They steak had just enough fat on it to season it while it cooked but not much more than that. It was very good, and the sides were just as good. Everything was prepared fresh and you can tell buy the way it tasted. The best part was it wasn't that expensive. It was really a neat restaurant. Nice atmosphere. To top it off they had yuengling beer on draft. For those of you that like beer but have not tried it, give it a shot. It is from America's oldest brewery. I will go back again before I leave NYC. I'll try an take some pics on the next go round.
Love this place. Great people. Great Beers. Service is excellent. I enjoy Russ and I always have a good time here. It is true Australians are so fun. Have a nice Coops and pretend you aren't in midtown. Somehow I always end up doing shots of tequila here...Have also been for lunchtime and they do a great special entree plus beer. I enjoy their chix ceasar. They make a great meat pie as well. Have tried the kangaroo kebabs too! Tasted like ribs. Very different would have it again haha
Good for watching sports. Lots of large screen TV's and a Premier League game being shown.
Bartender gave us 2 free pints as she said she left us waiting too long which was around 5 minutes so really nice gesture as I don't class that as a long wait at all.
Decent food, nice sharing platter while watching the football.
Great environment. Love a place that broadcasts rugby and other international sports.
Australian cuisine could be more authentic.
Had roast lamb, and I think Their “mint sauce” was oregano sauce.
Good for alcoholic beverages at a high price and service is fantastic.

Great place to stop and have a drink in New York City. We also had the pizza. Pretty good. The beer and drinks or excellent. And the staff at the bar or a tenant. We also learned quite a bit about cricket that was playing on the TVs. Fun place
Not bad. Food very good. Had a veggie pie and a salad and was impressed. Good service and I enjoyed a Packers game on a big screen. Bit pricey but ambience was warm and inviting.
Cuuuute! The night I went so happened to be pretty empty but it was because there was a big game on earlier (as explained to me by the bartender) so I guess that drew the crowd for the day which was a bummer for me, i had been just going straight home after work so was looking forward to mingling! The staff was very friendly tho, I ordered some wings which were tasty & the drinks were delicious too, alot of variety on the bar! Keeping with classic Aussie eats, they even had Kangaroo on the menu but I was too chicken to try it so I has chicken, u are what u eat! Hahaha beautiful ambience very clean! Looking forward to the next visit mate!
