Had the hush puppies = yum. (Maybe better than the original!) Had the broccolini = yum (lots of flavor). The tacos = yum again. Delish. Oh and the fresh pineapple and cucumbers juices were, well... fresh. And the coconut water was served up IN a coconut. Nice touch 👍🏼
As a relatively recent vegan, almost a year in September, I've sampled many of the vegan dining options in NYC and really, really, really enjoy this spot :). The menu has a wide selection of items to choose from and the food is delicious. The staff is amazing and service is courteous and prompt. A DJ on site and a great bartender!....what more could you want?? My fave is the seitan chicken, sauteed kale and waffles! Unbelievable! Pre-vegan I was a huge fan of chicken and waffles so this was a great find! Looking forward to my next time at UVK!
delicious food, vegan comfort food, but not junky, its Haute cuisine thats fun, ive had the buffalo pizza, the burger, the lasagna the hushpuppies the seitan loaf, brownie all the way, pot of gold.. all great.. staff is very friendly, cool DJ spinning primetime on fri sat i think.. nice groove without overpowering - you can still have conversations.. i had a gathering for 30 in the cozy underground lounge in cellar and the bartender was great and food kept coming
This food was fantastic! The best vegan entrees I have ever had. (Vegan 1 1/2 yrs) Highly recommend.
The place is quaint, staff are very friendly and great! The mac and cheese is AMAZING! Also the buffalo cauliflower pizza, is absolutely delicious, I hope they make that a regular on the menu, not just a special.
I stumbled across UVK after my regular spot had an hour wait and I’m happy that I did. The atmosphere was very cozy, the staff was friendly and the food was delicious. I will be back soon!!!
Delicious, kind, fun, and not nearly close enough for me to go as often as I'd like. A good friend and I enjoyed the outstanding food, gracious hospitality, and funky music. While still in Vermont planning my NYC trip, the menu grabbed me with chick-un & waffles. It was better than I could have hoped. The crispy garlic broccolini was super-fresh and crisp, sauteed not deep-fried (yay!). I only wish I'd had room for the brownie sundae. I'll be back!

It was my first time ever having chicken and waffles and I was blown away. Not only did it taste amazing but it tastes exactly like fried chicken! Comfort food at its finest 👌😋

I love this place, it’s my go to brand place, the space was great the downstairs is very homey and rustic. It took a bit to get our food but it was great. The pasta I had was very good, if you can make mushrooms taste good you are winning at life! The server was fun and very respectful, coolest guy in there. The interior was a vibe and a half. And if you need a sign to try the Elderflower Lemonade, here ya go. You’re welcome. Happy Eating 😋
The food did not dissappoint! I could not finish my burger, so had to do take out along with dessert. The empanada was amazing. The dough was flaky and soft. The potato and leek soup was filling as well! I enjoyed the garlic broccoli and fried chicken version of the oyster mushroom!
The service was phenomenal. The staff kept checking up on me and and my mom to make sure everything was OK. They were very friendly and accomodating! I am glad I found this place!!!

Korean barbecue wing appetizers were awesome, onion rings were good, and chili fries were amazing. For the main entree I got a salad that tasted really good! My friends had burgers that didn’t have sauce which seemed disappointing but their fries were really good!

The food, the vibe, the staff. 10 out of 10. It was my first time at UVK and I’ll definitely be back. I actually had my lunch chosen for me and I don’t regret one bite it was absolutely delicious! Started with the cauliflower bites and then had the create your own bowl with mac & cheese, oyster mushrooms and brussels sprouts. Everything was amazing.
Friendly service, tasty food! The Chorizo Empenanda was super delicious! I definitely recommend! I had the Oyster Asada, it was flavorful, but I don't know if I would order it again! The black beans weren't as soft as I like! I had the mudslide pie and the blueberry coconut ice cream at $16, small portion, but just enough for me! It was super delicious! I also had the sparking non alcoholic white tea with ginger. It's served in a champagne glass, but I definitely recommend! For the cost of 2 glasses, you might as well get a bottle! It's really tasty! I 10 out of 10 recommend!
The customer service was outstanding, and the food was exactly what we were looking for. We were so pleased with the service I received from Jacob, the bartender (so sorry I dont recall his name at this time). They went above and beyond to help us find the perfect soyfree food and beverages. We were very impressed with the quality of the service we received.
+ The vegan food was good and prices were reasonable.
+ The coconut shrimp was cool! It resembled actual shrimp meat.
- The smell of the stairs/lower floor could be improved.
- The ordering app charges a fee, so we just ordered verbally through the waiter.

I love this place so much for their amazing customer service and absolutely delicious food. Highly recommend. I’ve been vegan for 16 years and I consider their food top notch. I always get the Mac n cheese, the ranch salad, Korean bbq wings and coconut shrimp. This place is truly a gem 💎 and a party for your tastebuds.
