The service was great!!!The back drop of the gospel music during Sunday brunch was a nice touch. The food... the food was soooo good! The shrimp and grits made me dance in my seat. The banana/ pecan pancakes were maybe the fluffiest pancakes I’ve ever had. Oh did I already mention the grits? Well they’re worth mentioning again... there were Everything! I will definitely return when I’m in NYC.
Sooooooo this place is yummy! Wait was a bit long but on a Sunday with no reservations they made it worth it. Place is a bit small but the taste of the food and the quality of service was BIG!!! Will definitely become a staple for me and my family
My absolute FAVORITE lil Harlem spot! The owner is super nice & friendly! The food is always on point (deliciously good lol)! I love the ambiance of this jewel of a place! Thanks for always having a satisfying experience! See you soon!
This place is off the hook bomb!!! It is a little cluttered inside but we had the best experience sitting outside. The food was unbelievable. I can't wait to come back to NY. Will DEFINITELY be back!

The wait was over an hour but every bite of the food was so worth it. It’s cramped inside so go super hungry or you would pass out before being seated. 😆😆😆
BLVD Bistro has the most amazing Sunday brunch menu! If you are ever in Harlem I highly recommend you experience this wonderful place.

I absolutely loved it !! Smaller then expected but you still had space and privacy at your table. The food and service was incredible !! Staff was super polite and accommodating and did I mention the food was amazing ?? I will definitely go there again and recommend it to everyone ..
The catfish and grits is to die for....no, seriously all of the food is delicious but the catfish and grits will change your life!
The staff was lovely. Went for a late lunch on a Tuesday - only a few other tables were seated. Let’s get tot the Food: The Shrimp and Grits was the best I’ve ever had, creamy, savory and just mouth watering. The fried chicken basket was moist and flavorful. Before we left, we planned on the next meal here. Don’t miss it !

My grammar school friend took me to Brunch for my Birthday. I did not go to Sunday service, but the gospel music made me feel so Blessed. Everyone was so friendly and the atmosphere was full of amazing Souls just enjoying delicious meals. I had the Shrimps and Grits w/cheddar cheese and jalapeno, and my friend had the Fried Chicken and biscuits w/raspberry preserve. I was so full, but could not stop eating. Oh My!! Can I get an Amen! Definitely going back!!
The Catfish and Grits was excellent. The music, ambiance and service was on point.
Absolutely THE BEST Shrimp and Grits I’ve ever had and I’ve tried them in several spots in different cities! Also the buttermilk pancakes are perfect! I wish I lived in Harlem, I’d have them weekly! Lastly the ambiance was so peaceful and cozy, it was warm and welcoming and to top it off the gospel playlist had me wanting to worship in the restaurant!
I visited Blvd Bistro in October 2023. Be sure to make a reservation as this place was packed when we arrived. I noticed people standing and waiting for hours who didn’t have a reservation. Upon entry I was greeted by the host and we were seated within minutes. The place has a great vibe to it. I love the decor in the place. The DJ was on point kept people up on their feet dancing. Our waitress was Destiny. She was very friendly. There is a QR code on the table in which you use to view the menu. We ordered the lamb chops with mashed potatoes and stuffed salmon. It took forever for our food to come out but when it did it was piping hot and delicious. I was skeptical of order the lamb chops as I feared it wouldn’t be seasoned or cook well. Let me tell you I’m glad I was proven wrong. The lamb chops were so delicious. As I’m writing this review, I’m reminiscing over the taste. I also tried the lemon cake and ice cream which was also delicious. The restaurant just needs to improve their wait time. Give this place a try. It’s also accessible via public transportation. I can’t wait to get back here to taste more entrees.
We had a 12:30 reservation, and waited about ten minutes to be seated. It was crowded and the deejay was setting up. The staff are all very nice. I had the catfish dinner, my sister had the brioche french toast, and my friend had the shrimp and grits. We also ordered the moonshine. My first plate I sent back because the fish was not to my liking, but they immediately brought me out another plate that was just fine. The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend them for brunch, but if you want to enjoy the deejay come after 2pm. He was jamming as we were leaving 😞
Came here on Saturday around 1pm and it was really busy. Loved the vibes, DJ was a nice touch, and just beautiful black people everywhere—how could you not enjoy. However, we sat at the bar and ordered at 12:50 and the food didn’t come out until 1:50 :/ everyone around us was getting their meals in less time so I’m not sure what exactly happened. General Manager sent out two baskets of biscuits to make up for it and ultimately gave us a 30% discount. Luckily, the butter with the biscuits and the BLVD wings made up for it. Based off service, I probably would not come again, but worth a try if you have never been.
I really wanted to like this spot. I've been here once, but years ago at their first location. It's definitely the place to be because it seemed like everyone and their momma was here this past Saturday. Sooo, let me start by saying be prepared to WAIT. This is not the place for rushing in and out.
We started with a 40 minute wait. I don't visit Harlem often, so decided on a stroll of the neighborhood and grabbed a drink at Harlem Tavern across the street to cool down. Walked back and told they didn't have a reservation, after a few conversations we now had to wait again for about 15 mins or so because there were no seats. Honestly, who would want to leave with a DJ and festivities around them. Anyway, once we sat, a waiter arrived soon after with water and asked our order which we put in 10 mins in. Ordered a peach bellini with lobster and crab cake eggs benedict, plus a cornbread basket. We also ordered the shrimp and grits. The food took another close to what seemed like an hour arrive. Now, "when in Rome"...you know the rest..lol. The bellini was perfect and strong. It was peachy, refreshing and light, but strong. But lawd..the eggs benedict was a disaster. I made the huge mistake of ordering something I tend to love elsewhere at a soul food spot. I really should have stuck with the usuals like fried chicken, pancakes and grits. When being fancy goes wrong..lol The poached eggs were sooo soupy, drenched the entire plate, the crab cake wasn't cake at all, just seemed like crab meat mixed with tiny bits of lobster claw spooned onto the plate with a small biscuit thrown to the side. I think I was going to accept my fate, what drew the line was the wilted salad. Not much care taken into creating this dish, especially seeing it's $42. I tried to fork through, though the crab and lobster had great flavor, I couldn't stomach the plate. My waitress was extremely kind and gracious enough to return the plate and asked if I wanted something else. I settled for their usual fried chicken and pancakes. A manager came over and also apologized about the plate and mentioned the new order would take about 20 minutes. We waited. But then the waitress returned mentioning that my order is going to take a while since there were two parties of 15 at the rear of the restaurant. She had no timeframe. My friends had already finished eating and tired of the many long waits, I cancelled my order.
I'd have to say this was a first. Leaving a restaurant without eating..lol Though I did nibble on cornbread and it was rich, dense and flavorful.
My advice to management is to do better about time management and swifter service. With the added music which we love, people will honestly not want to leave. But what will help with the 90 min meal time is pushing the orders out. The food must be out faster for better turnaround time. By the time we left, there was at least 15 people waiting to be seated. Also, the host and hostess were uncoordinated which made the waiting period frustrating.
Overall, my wait staff was friendly and accommodating given the hectic situation. I would rate this spot 4 stars. The wait is excruciating and food turnaround is slow. I will return however, but more around the less busy hours. Still a great atmosphere for girls night, merriment and socializing.

I went there on a Friday night specifically to see Greginald Spencer perform. He's a great singer who covers all your favorite R&B artists. The show was fantastic and one of the things I like most about seeing this guy perform is that he always lends away to other artists in the band or in the audience. So we had a lot of special treats. Aside from the show, everything was five star from the minute I walked in. The hostess, Pat was so nice and sweet and welcoming. She led me to my seat and I was greeted by Jamal the bartender who has unimaginable skills! My dinner was the catfish dinner of fried catfish, collard greens and potato salad. Let me just say that was the best fried catfish I ever had in my life and the collard greens were extraordinary! Everything was great service food atmosphere entertainment all five star. If you're wondering where to go on a Friday night look no further than Boulevard Bistro in Harlem at 116th. I would warn you reservations are highly recommended and the earlier in the week you get them the better. You won't be sorry. For some real Mississippi style soul food and some great R&B live performance this is where you need to be on Friday night in nyc!
10/10 atmosphere, food and service. We had the the watermelon & goat cheese salad (very tasty) accompanied by the wings (we considered getting an order to go after one bite!) to start and we had no regrets. We ordered the same entree, the stuffed salmon with lemon beurre blanc sauce, garlic mashed potatoes & grilled broccoli (I cleaned my plate like it was the final supper!) The banana bread pudding was absolutely delectable but the true treasure of this place is the staff. Our waitress Sade was beyond gracious and helpful. She recommended everything we ate and drank for the night and we have no regrets! Oh and the guy who is the food runner, he is a breath of fresh air in the hospitality industry, serving our plates with enthusiasm and excitement. Thank you for a great experience and we recommend almost every drink in the menu lol
They take way too long to acknowledge you when you walk in. They’ll even see you and still not greet you for a while. However, Food was great. I recommend the stuffed Salmon( which isn’t on the menu , so you’ll have to ask for it). The also have great music
First time and food was amazing. Not just saying it - i had shrimp & grits and let's say went into a coma for it was addictive. So delicious you have to try for your self and very eclectic. Such a warm vibe. I will be back for everything!!
Wow… what an amazing meal. From the corn bread with fresh fig jam and lemon butter to the turkey meatloaf, salmon and creamy grits. I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed such a delicious meal. Our hostess and server were excellent as well. .
Had a great time. The food was delicious. I had the stuffed salmon with mash and broccoli with nice sauce. Tasted my friends collards and yams omg I was jealous ! The music was bumping and I was nicely surprised that it was a small place with nice seating, def going again.
Great place for food, appetizers and drinks.
A friendly atmosphere with music and a decent vibe. Overall a good time waiting to happen, with good people in the mix. You never know just ask the bartenders Ty, Destiny, Dale or Nadi, you can't go wrong. From the time your greeted at the front door. until your escorted to your seat. Whether your just hanging out at the bar or or passing through. This is a place you will have fun in. Thanks in advance for your time. If you like the review you know what to do. 👍
The food the drinks” the people “ you will love this place. I think I have had everything on the menu. No complaints.
Greeted by Management with a smile. Relaxed/chill vibe when you walk in. Waitress very informative and offered great choices to us. I picked the southern fried chicken dinner with smoked Turkey collard greens/potato salad. Chicken was fried perfectly. A little hot sauce all-over made it really good. Collard greens were great just needed a pinch of salt/hot sauce. The potato salad was good. Had a slight taste of being a few days old but good. A side of sweet potatoes made my collard really “pop”. They tasted great texture and all. Birthday celebration was awesome! Everyone joined in… great vibes.
The Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes I ordered was delicious.😋 This drink my son order really compliments the Blueberry pancakes. Our waitress was outstanding i forgot her name. It was around 15 guests and her patience was amazing along with other waiters in the restaurant. I highly recommend. We had a great time. Thank you
I enjoyed EVERYTHING. This place checks all the boxes. Fun atmosphere and exciting vibe. The live dj with music added so much energy with the present and old school remixes. Great place for a group. The hostess was not that friendly but does not alter my opinion otherwise. I get it that it's a fast-paced environment, and you have to juggle a lot of energy, and there are many moving parts, but take the attitude down some.
I visited this restaurant yesterday for my friend’s birthday. First off the DJ was DJing the music was loud and interactive which I loved. Our reservation was for 5:30pm but we didn’t get seated until 7pm. The male hostess did communicate and over the people waiting a glass of champagne. So now at 7pm we’re seated and again another 20 minute wait for our server. The same hostess did pay for the first round of our drinks. When Rain our waitress came she was great. She was apologetic for having us wait and very attentive to us. The food was amazing and I have nothing negative to say about it. Overall the experience was okay. We waited a lot but they did try to make up for it. I do believe they need to enforce the 90 minute seating limit or extend it and change reservations times. Because to wait almost two hours with reservations is ridiculous.
