Definitely one of the better, if not best, restaurants in this area. It's affordable, place is cute, and the food is consistently great. I came here for regular nights and special occasions. I highly recommend if you want great Indian food at a reasonable price, but in a space that is a bit more trendy/youthful.

Was around the area and passed by Dhaba so we stopped by to eat here. One of my favorite things that they had was the garlic naan, it was so good that we had to order it a second time. We had a variety of curry dishes with shrimp, chicken, and fish and every one of them was delicious. The waiters were very tentative and answered any questions that we had. Atmosphere was great and we were able to enjoy our visit there. Would definitely recommend if looking for Indian cuisine.

Everything was well seasoned. The Tangri Kabab was my absolute favorite, 5 juicy drumsticks ! Murgh Tandoor was grilled to perfection. The Punjab da Murgh was saucy and complimented the garlic naan well. The service was pleasant and fast as well, a small gem in NYC .

The food is good and I appreciate how many options their menu has (include vegetarian and vegan). Of the things we got, I’d say the food is a 4/5 but the menu is so extensive that we might have missed some good items. I would definitely come back to try some of their other dishes.

Went during lunch, so I got the buffet. For being the only one and there right after they opened , food could of been hotter. Food was good, but I’ve had better. Was a good price for all you can eat . Everything was medium spice, which I found not spicy at all. The pickled mango/lime chutney was very interesting.

Was looking for some good chole bhatura. Thought Dhaba would be the spot for it. Chole were ok, the bhatura was what you’d expect (good) Good Punjabi style dishes.. but feel more ideal for meat dishes The lamb seekh kabab was tasty! They’re very generous with portions of grilled onions with piping hot sizzling seekh kabab Service was great Other meat dishes that other people were ordering looked delicious

Experience the Indian dhaba style ambience and the highway-dhaba-like flavors of India in the NYC. There is an in-house bar with wide variety of Indian Beers and cocktails. The most economical Indian cuisine serving since two decades. They have lunch buffet everyday at 16.95 and 19.95 per person. They also have catering services with full course meal beginning as low as 25-30$/pp.

We were on vacation in NY and this restaurant was the best option for our need food wise and operating hours as well. Even the chef came out to check on us. The service was immaculate and so was the ambience. All the food item was top notch. Me and my parents returned with happy face and happy belly.

Modest in size with three rows of two person tables pushed together tables in middle and some in windows. Tables against walls on right as you enter are four person tables with high cushions, whereas on left side they were two person tables with high back bench cushioned bench seats facing out with regular wood chairs on outer part of table. Prices are decent compared to other nearby Indian restaurants. Not ADA accessible. Street parking only. Progressive Indian music over speakers. Only three staff and kitchen staff present. Service is laid back but when they are slow it is good. It appears a place for local Indian community rather than tourists. Maybe during work hours it changes. I was here at 6PM on a Wednesday 2023 and there were plenty of tables available with no wait. Flickering mining lanterns for ambience. Clean location. Bar in back of this narrow location. Bon appetite! ~ Carson 💫

Good indian chow in the heart of little India, on Lexington avenue ... we had the lunch buffet .... reasonable prices, and tasty food ... the one thing I would add is that their Tikka Masala was a tad too buttery ... but all in all, very good Indian food ... update after covid: Sept 14 2023 They have reinstated their buffet for lunch. Photo of the buffet prices and timings attached.

Food was ok, nothing out of the world. Butter chicken and paneer Malai was very sweet mostly tomato sauce. It would have been better with some more spices giving it more authentic taste. Amritsari fish was very fresh and good, perfectly spiced. Service was good. Ambience was decent. Overall food was fresh not reheated could have been better with little more spices.
