Friendly and sweet staff, creative cocktails, and great ambience. Did not get to try the Italian food, which is my only regret! Only came for the drinks. Amazing place, thank you

My sister and I ate and drank here last week, as she shares the name with the bar! (Lol) The staff, the wine and the food (grilled octopus) was superb! Such a relaxed and fun atmosphere, I'll be definitely going back the next time I visit New York!!

This place is amazing, it's a cozy area and has a wonderful staff. They treated us so well and made our day more special. The food was delicious, and also the drinks! My favorite food was the warm chocolate cake. Definitely a nice place to hang out with friends or have a first date.

Searched RESY for a tapas restaurant and was plenary surprised when an Italian restaurant showed up. We did not have reservations and went at 5 on a Friday. We were seated with no issue, at this point it was basically empty. Within half an hour there wasn’t a seat in the place. We had the grilled octopus salad as well as the goat cheese and mango salad to start. Both were outstanding. For main courses we had the lobster risotto and the lamb shank. The lobster was cut into pieces like little prizes throughout the risotto. The bone on lamb shank over risotto was so tender it fell off the bone. We will absolutely be back, we loved this meal!

This place was fantastic! The service was exceptional and they walked us through the menu, the specials in detail, didn’t rush us to order and let us take our time. The burrata, Caesar salad, pesto pasta, mushroom truffle pasta were heavenly . Also wnjoyed the Chianti they had to offer, prices were also amazing, about &60 a person for a table of 4 - including tax tip 3 drinks a person , an appetizer per couple and 4 entrees…HUGE! Thank you!

Great ambiance and food. Incredibly friendly staff; look for Venera -she’s attentive and kind. Aplausos to the Latinos in the kitchen. The tiramisu was delicious. I would just say that I really missed Codino’s crostini -pork & octopus.

Absolutely love this place. If you can’t find a table, try their sister restaurant around the corner. Such a cozy vibe instead with great specials. We started off with the goat cheese and tomato sauce and the meatballs. Both were killer and I’d order them again. For starters, we had the risotto of the day which was mushroom and Parmesan risotto, and the penne pasta. Overall fantastic meal with quick service.

The staff is great. Their octopus dish is the best I've had in many restaurants. The wine list is fairly priced and delicious. Try the Italian Primitivo (the original zinfandel).

Everything at Aria was PERFECT!! The staff were all so fun and sweet and the food was INCREDIBLE. We got the pear salad, calamari, mussels, truffle gnocchi, lobster ravioli and the chocolate soufflé and it was all 10/10! We also got a bottle of the Chianti which was delicious. Will definitely be back!

Made a reservation, but they were overbooked so we still had to wait. The food was amazing, but the service was slow and poor quality. I recommend all the food including the pasta, tomato and mozzarella, and calamari. Unfortunately they do not have espresso for post dinner.

Great pasta spot, but very crowded and the servers are definitely overworked and hence a bit rude. The actual food is delicious, we had the eggplant, the crab cakes, the mushroom fettuccine and the shrimp rigatoni - the portions are generous and the flavor is on point. I wish it was a bit less loud and crowded! But would highly recommend for the food.

I love this little Italian gem. The food is great; I would always recommend their daily specials (see pics(i got the black truffle gnocchi, and my friend got their pasta vongole in rosso*chef kiss*)). The wine is at a decent price w/ great everyday selections. There was a small incident during this particular visit, but I won't blow up their spot due to it was out of their control. However, it would've been nice for the waiter to show more empathy than just say "ohhh" (comp wine, discount on bills, even apologizing to us would've been nice). Again, I understand the issue (I still won't say) was out of your control, but if you're in customer service, then be more hospitable. I frequent here and never really had an issue, so I will go back still (for now). However, I won't be so nice about it if I encounter any negative experience.

Cozy place to have a glass of wine and a good bite of perfectly balanced italian tastes. You can drop in even on Saturday night. Stuff so friendly, all in a good mood. Definitely a place not to be missed if you come to this neighborhood.

Loved this little cozy place tucked away in the West Village. Sat at the bar with a very good bartender noshing and drinking. Small selection of white wines but they were all fabulous, not too sweet and not too dry. Great place to just chat and drink.

This place doesn’t miss. Decided to go with the specials instead of the regular menu because lamb shank and truffle gnocchi is hard to turn down. The gnocchi was cheesy, creamy, perfect texture and you could definitely taste the truffle. The lamb shank came with risotto. A real showstopper in terms of size, very well cooked, excellently flavored in kind of an Osso Buco style. They don’t serve it often, would recommend if it’s available.

We stopped here for lunch. I ordered one of the specials, the grilled octopus salad. The octopus had been sliced into bite sized pieces and arranged in a beautiful presentation over a bed of salad made with celery, thin sliced potatoes, tomatoes and more. The octopus was tender and cooked perfectly. My partner ordered lobster ravioli with vodka sauce. They kept the sauce simple so that the tortelloni could speak for themselves. Wonderful place to eat. It's a sister restaurant to Terra, which we stumbled upon the day after we had dinner at Aria and had no idea they were related until we ate there. Excellent food, elegant and very respectful staff, very nice menu and food options. Not a cheap place, but it's worth the money you spend. Ambiance is quite dark for dinner, which kind of contributes to the experience. Very cool place indeed, recommended.
