Fast service and delicious freshly made pasta.
Staff were nice and friendly.
My expectation for Lasagna and rock shrimp was disappointing :( but, everything was good other than that.
We love Ulivo and it’s unpretentious and welcoming atmosphere. Their pasta is freshly made daily and all their dishes taste delicious. If you like a superb cocktail then you’re at the right place, their barman is absolutely the best!
We went to Ulivo for lunch and enjoyed the prix fixe menu... choose a starter and then a pasta course. We got Pruscitto and mozz & the pork sausage with white beans to start. The Pruscitto was the best I've ever had... So buttery! Then for our pasta we ordered Gnocchi with a veal ragu band & Paccheri with Tuna belly. It was delicious! There was no one else there when we arrived but it should be packed. Reasonable prices and fantastic food and service!!!
Starters were perfect 10. From our main courses today's special pasta superb and pesto pasta just ok. Waitress was really nice and knew what to do. Quite noicy restaurant.
Arrived at 4:45 on a Friday, we were the only customers so the service reflected, we felt like royalty with the treatment. The bread and drinks to start was fantastic. We had a few spritz and they make them really well. The pasta is delicious and flavorful, obviously made in house. I had the best pesto pasta with pistachios. It was really good pricing for being in NYC. My friends loved their ravioli and lentil soup. We will for sure return here.
Ulivo is a beautiful restaurant. Went to lunch on a weekend and it was pretty empty, which I loved. The fried octopus was the highlight of my meal, the gnocci was also very tasty, but I didn’t care for the dessert that much. Worth to go on a date!
Prosciutto san Daniele was very good.
Pizza margharita just ok.
Limonade was perfect.
Tiramisu was fabulous.
Service was immaculate. Young waiter from Sardegna, Italy was best i have seen.
Dining at Ulivo in the vibrant NoMad neighborhood was an unforgettable experience. As a vegetarian, I’m always on the lookout for restaurants that don’t just accommodate my dietary preferences but celebrate them. Ulivo does exactly that.
From the moment I walked in, I was enveloped in a classy and sophisticated ambiance, setting the stage for a remarkable culinary journey. The staff’s warm welcome and attentive service were just the beginning of an exceptional evening.
The menu, brimming with vegetarian options, was a delightful surprise. Each dish I tried was a revelation in taste, crafted with the finest ingredients and an evident passion for Italian cuisine. The flavors were authentic, rich, and perfectly balanced, making each bite a joyous experience.
But it wasn’t just the food that impressed me. The ambiance of the restaurant, with its elegant decor and soft lighting, created a tranquil yet upscale dining environment, perfect for both intimate dinners and special occasions.
Ulivo is more than just a restaurant; it’s a testament to how vegetarian cuisine can be as sumptuous and exciting as any other. For those in search of exquisite Italian food, exceptional service, and a dining experience that caters beautifully to vegetarians, Ulivo in NoMad is a destination not to be missed. A true gem in the heart of the city!
Very solid restaurant near madison square garden. Free bread to start. Service was great. Ordered 2 appetizers + 2 pastas for 3 people and that was the perfect amount. Great for dates, friends, and group parties (there are two long tables that fit 6-10 I think!)
Nice restaurant vibe, dark and candlelit.
We stumbled onto this place after the place we were going to eat at only served brunch. It was an odd time of day to eat, so no one else was there so we were a bit skeptical at first, but boy were we wrong. We were looking for a true Italian restaurant and this is what this is. Our waiter was from Rome and we shared with him where we’ve eaten in Rome and learned about him. The lentil and olive oil concoction they bring out with the sourdough was amazing. We enjoyed our lunch here and glad we found this place!
Was so loud I couldn’t hear my conversation partner without shouting, which got tiresome. But it was a Friday night. Pizza and cheese were delicious. Wine special and black squid ink pasta were a miss. Service was the highlight - everyone from hostess to server were excellent. But not sure if I will return due to noise level. Perhaps a weekend lunch. Interior was nice and cozy.
Second time we’ve been here in a month and not disappointed either time. Food is really good, plenty of choice for pescatarians and very attentive/helpful staff. We tend to have a late lunch around 3pm making it very easy to get tables.
Best Italian i have had in a while. Chef takes real pride in his food and the servers were top notch. Wine selection is full of Italian red that made me feel at home and the meatballs were fantastic. 10/10 would recommend.
It great !!! authentic Italian food we had the specials they were very tasty truffle raviolis, and rigatoni were delicious. Friendly service our server was from Sardinia the bottle was DOCG I would come back to this place again if I make it out to New York again.
Food 7/10
An underrated gem located in NoMad with homemade pastas and refreshing drinks. I ordered the spicy sausage pasta, which was just okay, but my friend’s vongole was delicious. Massive portions, but I couldn’t finish and didn’t particularly want to finish it, even as leftovers. The mezcal cocktail was pretty good though.
Atmosphere 8/10
Very dark inside, and also quite loud. Bustling with activity. Tables were spread a good distance apart from each other. Cute bathroom.
Service 8/10
Solid service, nothing wrong.
It was delicious! We loved it. You have to get the tiramisu! I'm still dreaming about it! 😍
We got the pick 3 fritture appetizer. The polpo and the shrimp were stand outs but everything was tasty. We ordered the oxtail pappardelle and clam linguine, delicious! 🤤🤤🤤 The waiters were so attentive and our water glasses never got empty lol!
Highly recommended! We'll definitely make a point to come back the next time we're in New York!
Was actually not the restaurant we were going towards but happy mistake. Food was really good. But we weren't very hungry and shared the dishes (plus the extra free bread). We felt pretty satisfied. It was near closing time so felt a little rushed out but it's understandable.
Incredible food, wonderful service.
In the five days in NYC, the restaurant offered the best service by a country mile.
Staff were polite, kind and efficient.
Food was delicious.100% recommend.
We had two pasta dishes and shared starters.
