This place is awesome. Went when they first opened and I am hooked huge fan. I am a vegetarian and they have the best mac-m-cheese dish. Also the edamame dumplings are out of this world. They are accommodating to needs and the service is friendly and on point. They have thw coolest drinks. Never had soju or a drink with a light in it. Very different and very cool. Tha kale salad was excellent. I went with six people each time and everyone said it was amazing! I will be back. It's my favorite spot!
We had a great dinner at Thursday Kitchen this evening. A hidden gem in the big city with truly wonderful staff, excellent food & drinks and great ambiance! A must do when in East Village! Thank you.
Great place, incredible food , hard to get a reservation but everything else was awesome including our server she was very friendly and helpful. A must go place yes 👍🏼👏🏻
Wow !!! Amazing food ! I'd never had white kimchi before. And who knew the best Mac and cheese on earth would be found at a Korean place Addicted !
Very much worth the 45-minute wait. The food and the drinks were delicious. My favorite was the Steak dish. They ran out of the softwhell crab and ramen, so looking forward to next time. Excellent little place !
Amazing food and great staff and worth the wait. Always end up ordering half the menu with the great selections they have
Excellent food! Tried all kinds of dishes and everyone was great. Hard to pick a favorite as all was phenomenal. A must go to place.
Thursday Kitchen ~ This East Village new dining concept "New Korean" was an enjoyable plunge into a creative fusion of Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, French and New York style tapas & cuisine. We enjoyed the Kale Salad with Stilton-daikon vinaigrette, Crispy Chicken with a spicy sweet sauce, Seafood Pancake mixed with seafood and house made ponzu, Soft shell Crab with a fresh wasabi remoulade, Kimchi Paella with white tiger shrimp, mussel and carmelized kimchi, then wrapped it up with Matcha Bread Pudding with this irresistible valrhona jivara (chocolate) and bourbon sauce. I had the "Pure Jeremy" cocktail. It was served glowing in a bag and was very nice. I had no favorite dish from the selections mentioned, they all were remarkable and memorable. No wonder everything was perfection, all food product is curated with precision and examined by CIA graduate, Chef Kay before it reaches your table. The front of the house staff has the full menu in recitation and they explain what you are getting as they present it to you. Also very appreciated was their product knowledge and attention to detail. ~Thursday Kitchen is the real deal if you are looking for a delicious meal with variety, amazing service and merry environment. Loved it and will be going back soon, real soon.
Crazy good food. Get there early, 1 hour wait on FRI or SAT. Drinks are on point.

Everything was amazing! I really enjoyed the experience, the food is delicious, beautiful presentation, good drinks and great service. I Highly recommend it.
I definitely going back
This place is amazing. Ask for Jay as your waiter and you won't be disappointed! Delicious!
Freekin amazing ordered six plates and local Korean beer every thing , food service EVERYTHING was exceptional 💕
Will be back for sure highly recommend
This restaurant was an eating experience that was nothing short if incredible. The pork belly was spot on, I had a drink served in a bag with a light in it! The service was friendly and fast - it made for a great night out!
One of the best places in the city. Great food, great drinks, and wonderful service!
Korean American tapas. Simply excellent. The steak is a must-try!
Popcorn Ice Cream-yumm. Everything else including drinks-Awesome. Super nice staff-Points! :)
This place is amazing! When we came it was crowded but we didn't wait a minute since they have availability at the bar. Service is very polite, helpful and even being crowded they are on the point. Food is amazing. I don't know how to put nice words for the food. The menu is small so you can have more plates and share food and in that way you can try as much as food you can. Truffle
Mac and cheese is very differently prepared than regular one. Tuna tartar- delicious. Chicken as well. Pop corn ice cream WOW. Definitely worth visiting this place
An interesting Asian fusion tapas spot! The tuna tartare tacos were the highlight of the dinner – finely cut tuna with a perfect yuzu aioli pairing. The truffle mac and cheese, crowned with a slightly burnt cheesy top, won my friend’s heart. The Korean popcorn chicken, while tasty, leaned more towards sweet and sour Chinese style than Korean flavors. The kimchi paella was decent, but missed the crispy rice bottom and robust seafood taste. Overall, fantastic food!
One caveat: the timed dining felt a bit rushed; 60 minutes to finish it all was a challenge for me…
went with a group of 5 people, walked in when they opened, got seated immediately! we were advised to order ~3 dishes per person since they’re tapa style, which we did.
we got soft shell crab, truffle mac and cheese, steak, kimchi paella, tuna tartar taco and most of their dishes to try. my fav was the steak and truffle mac and cheese! came here for the soft shell crab and it did not disappoint. would recommend the adult capri suns as well!
If you're lucky enough to make it here on a Monday or a Friday, Thursday makes it feel like the weekend.
Got the chance to try Thursday Kitchen out this weekend as apart of a tour de food with my sister, thanks to her suggestion. The atmosphere is cozy and warm. You as the customer take the main stage, the architects knew this, the staff knows this and if you have half a brain you'll be able to figure that out by attending. It's tight, cramped even. So much so that by even standing in line for the bathroom will open your eyes to how much your presence is missed at the table - and an impedance to those who aren't!
The food is great, it's a homage to more cultures than it isn't. I had a half bottle of Man's Mountain sale to wash it all down and I wish you the same. We had the corn salad, which was great! It will wake you up, a big refresher for stale conversation, a dish that will have you pleasantly surprised with the small walnut crumbles inside.
The Tuna Tartar Tacos were so mid I can't recommend it. I can't stress this enough. If they were to beef up the shell to a fried milk bread in place of the taco shell, they would have yet another banger item on the menu. Alas, we have a starch that hinders the tuna from getting into your gullet.
We followed that up with the Truffle Mac n Cheese. It's a powerful dish. Personally I love me some Mac and cheese. I also will lose my mind at the mere essence of truffle in my direction. If you are anything similar to me, you gotta grab this bad boy. The menu said there is broccoli involved in this dish, I couldn't see or taste it - but I'll take their word.
Lastly, we snagged the Steak. It's ok. The sauce is amazing. The greens were serviceable. The winner of the dish? THE FETA GRITS ON THE SIDE. Please god let me get that recipe, I'll become friends with anyone I whip that up for.
Grab yourself in a line asap.
You must order the soft shell crab and enjoy it when it's hot. It's really crunchy and tasty! Also, the truffle mac&cheese smells so good and taste what it looks like - creamy and delicious.
Baseline, I think the food here is all pretty solid. Feels like a nice date spot with good vibes. But there was no real standout dish for me, and I ordered the more popular items on the menu. The capri-sun alcohol drinks also felt a little too gimmicky for me. But with all that said—I’d still come again to try the other items on the menu.
Really yummy tapas for a reasonable price! We loved the tuna tartare tacos and heirloom tomatoes! The textures and flavors for both of those dishes were 6/5 stars! The chilaquiles were also a nice addicting snack. Steak, kimchi paella, and truffle Mac and cheese were also solid. The edamame dumplings were amazing flavor-wise but the texture was just mush because the filling had the texture of baby food which felt really odd. I’d skip on the capri-Thursday drinks. The lychee reach rich tasted surprisingly alcoholic and it didn’t really pair with the food.
Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The inside starting filling up around 6 on a Sunday night but the outside still had plenty of tables open at 6:30.
I love this place! I've been here 4 times already, and it never disappoints. The drinks are really good, and the food is incredible. Not to be dramatic, but I have never tried something as good as the popcorn ice cream they offer.
Be ready to drop some cash here because after you try one plate you are going to want to try them all. It’s hard to rank your favorites here because they all have nearly the same amount of deliciousness. If I had to rank my favorites it would be the comically small but equally delicious tuna tartare tacos, kimchi paella, popcorn chicken, edamame dumplings, truffle mac. My only complaint is that the capri-thursdays need less alcohol and more flavor.
this was the perfect escape into the culinary creativity of Korean tapas, on a beautiful fall Friday night without the kids. Wait time was about 30 minutes, service was fast, be sure to ask not to be seated by the bathroom/kitchen.
Love this place. It was my second time dining here.
Popcorn chicken 4/5💛 really nice flavor, love the sweet glaze and the chicken is juicy and on point
Soft shell crab 5/5💛 really nicely cooked. The inside is soft and juicy and outside is crispy. The only reason is not 5 is because it’s lacking a bit flavor
Kimchi paella 2/5💛 didn’t really like the fishy taste. The server told us that but wanna give it a shot anyways😿
Duck confit empanada 5/5💛 really surprised us, love the white sauce combination and the filling is super yummy
Angry potatoes 4/5💛 pretty crispy
Truffle Mac and cheese 1/5💛 a let down for me, I love truffle flavors but I can’t taste any and the Macaroni is super soupy
Edamame dumplings 3/5💛 a bit disappointed as well, the filling is not enough. I think the corn dumplings from Mokyo is much better.
Gnocchi 5/5💛 my fav dish among all! Love the sweet gocchujang sauce.
Everything was perfect: ambiance, service, food selection, all of it. I recommend the edamame dumplings. Will be requesting to eat those on my death bed.
We were seated super quickly and the service is really speedy as well. Staff are nice and our waters were always kept filled. The menu items are small and very expensive but really good. The edamame dumplings were the only item that was actually worth it, and maybe the kimchi paella.
Thursday Kitchen has been on my bucket list for a while now and I’m so glad I finally went. The fusion style dishes really shined and were filling. The restaurant atmosphere itself added to the overall appeal. Will definitely be back to try the remainder of the menu since all the dishes sounded appealing.
I absolutely recommend this place for a dinner with friends. We got the paella, soft shell crab,Mac and cheese, asparagus, dumplings, noodles, pop corn chicken, ugly potatoes, steak and empanadas . My favorite was the Mac and cheese, steak, popcorn chicken, noodles, and the paella. Every dish was so well done and had tons of flavor. The Mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy but had the perfect burnt cheese on top with the truffle oil that shines. The steak is cooked perfectly and served with a sweet honey sauce that taste perfect with the crunch kale on the side. The service was amazing they were so attentive, friendly and helpful. The chef even gave us an extra empanada to accommodate the group. The food was very affordable and well priced. I recommend coming with lot of friends so you can share and try lots of the dishes. We also had the strawberry, yuzu, and blue drink which were all very fairly priced I preferred the strawberry but all were equally as good. Come early to skip the line and come hungry!
Delicious food and great vibes! I’ve been here a few times and will keep coming back. There are no reservations but you put your name up on a list and then they text you when they have a table. Waiting times vary from 0-60 minutes the times I’ve been there.
This place is wonderful! Showed up at 6 on a Friday and got sat right away. Staff and service is wonderful! Get the adult capri-sun cocktails! For food, we loved the edamame dumplings, popcorn chicken and gnocchi - which was this amazing Korean take on chili oil base tomato sauce. Great atmosphere too!
