If you have a chance to come here on the first Monday of every month, they have a 15 course tasting menu that is phenomenal. Otherwise, if you come here on any other day, you will still leave more than satisfied. Always an incredible experience here. Not only is the food delicious, but the service is speedy quick and excellent. I highly recommend the Dan noodles, the dry pot, and the eggplant in garlic sauce. That will nicely feed a group of 3!

Great food and Service. Valentina did a great job in helping us order and with serve. Especially we are Vegetarians. We ordered Dan Dan Noodles. Veggie Dumplings with chili oil, Kung Pao Fried Tofu and Fried tofu in Hot Sauce

Superb upper west-side Szchewan eatery with a great, welcoming, and attentive staff. Place easily and happily accommodates large parties with added set 20% gratuity. Never pass up the spicy dumplings as starters and all dinner seafood entrees are terrific with great scallops and prawns. Fine array of vegetarian and vegan options. So go already!

Went for the 15 course December tasting and it was a very fun experience with a lot of delicious dishes! Not every one was a winner but we left happy and full… definitely recommend trying that (or just coming for a regular meal)

I’ve been there many times over the years and have always enjoyed the tasty Szechuan fare. It’s also a nice big open space, which is great for large parties. But sometimes one single experience can color how you feel about a place. On my most recent visit, I was waiting for a date, who was late. When my date showed up, the waiter told her that it’s good she came because I was about to leave. That was not true! I think the waiter was trying to make a joke, but it was at my expense, and my date didn’t understand it was a joke and looked confused by his comment, which was inappropriate and weird. I didn’t say anything, but I was quite surprised that the waiter butted into my date like that. I think servers should maintain a neutral stance and not interfere in the relationship of the diners in any way, ever.

It depended on what I ordered. Some dishes were mostly spicy, and I could not taste much out of them. One of the beef dishes that I ordered was kind of too tough and too dry in my opinion. The mapo tofu dish was good. I would recommend the string beans (both with minced pork or without) and long hot peppers with either pork or beef were delicious. The rice noodle was less tasty, but good for pairing with other more tasty dishes. After ordering from them over dozens of times, I could say that they are one of my go-to place for Chinese food.

Been coming here for years. it never fails to disappoint me. The food is always well above par and the chicken fried rice and beef and broccoli are always really good. Overall the food is Bussin and the staff are very nice. The place is very cool because there’s a lot of space, considering we are in the city.

i went here because i was craving something spicy/saucy and i found just that. i ordered the hot sauce style chicken which is essentially cabbage, garlic, and celery stir fried in a chili oil sauce. the dish came out piping hot (temperature) but wasn’t overly spicy despite its color. all in all, the dish was savory (very strong red chili flavor) and came with rice. there’s a pretty big menu so i’ll likely be back again to try other dishes

The scallion pancakes are light and fluffy and delicious. The food here is consistently excellent. The Garlic, and the Black Bean dishes in particular. The service is friendly and quick but my one reservation is that the staff is incredibly quick to clear dishes and I always feel a bit rushed. As if they need to turn my table. This happens even when the restaurant is almost empty.

Amazing Chinese food in a cool atmosphere. This place is huge and crowded inside. Service is kind of slow because it is so crowded, but the waiters are knowledgeable and try their best. Complementary tea at the table is a nice touch. The food is much better than most Chinese restaurants I've been to. The spice level is amazing and the menu options are great. The portions are a good size. The Dan Dan noodles are definitely the highlight of the menu. They can be ordered vegetarian without pork. Most of the entrees can be made with tofu instead of meat. The King Pao style , hot sauce style, dry pot style, and garlic sauce style are all good. Han Dynasty is a great place to get dinner in the Upper West Side. I recommend calling ahead for a reservation so you aren't left waiting for a table. Order the Dan Dan noodles and enjoy !

In business I have traveled quite a bit, n had a friend come in with her daughter, first we saw Sweeney Todd the night before and on Wednesday had Juniors in the afternoon (very disappointing) another friend who lives on the upper Westside recommended "Han" and it saved my reputation. Great service, lovely decor, more than fair pricing. And the wonderful server who suggested the shrimp dish was spot on. (Even the young man who brought us our water and cleared the table) here is wishing you guys continued success.

This place rocks... was expecting a bit of a "chinese for tourists" restaurant, but the food is excellent and quite genuine/authentic. Place is huge and high ceilings, so don't expect buzzy downtown athmosphere, but for a quiet dinner with friends or family I will always remember this as best option. Warmly recommended, and I plan to return regularly. Forgot: apparently very nice cocktails (I did not try, my wife did the litchee-based) and PRICES are very reasonable - an odd remark in New York !!!

The place is a cool spot to bring your family! I would especially recommend this joint if you're not particularly used to fine Chinese cuisine. The spiciness of the food has to be modified for the UWS because I personally didn't find it THAT hot for a Sichuan place, but it's great flavor! Small but good selection of draft beer. I got Dan Dan noodles as a starter and split it with some friends because the portions are BIG. We came for the stir fry and did not leave disappointed. Worth every dollar

Very surprisingly good food. The scallion pancakes, string beans with minced pork and dry pepper chicken were all spot on, and better than we’ve had at other good Sichuan places in the City. The dan dan noodles were also tasty, though my wife and I disagree on whether they’re “the best”: the pork could be crispier and the suimi yacai flavor is weak or missing.
