Wow - FIKA has perfected the smooth creamy cappuccino. Pastries rival the choice and quality from Europe’s best patisseries. Very international client base, and worth walking a few extra blocks to get here. My NY experience just got better.

Cozy place with a little space. Planned to find kind of Scandinavian breakfast but there only wraps, soup and cookies
This is a quaint little cafe with nice coffee and beautifully presented nibbles. Not a full breakfast type place but lovely for morning tea
Tiny place but very cute and very chic. I love the black and white decor. The espresso there is to die for. Like every New Yorker, I grew up and loved Starbucks. After experiencing my first Latte at this FIKA, I was converted. The baristas are so nice and attentive. They remember your drink if you go often enough. They are efficient but don't rush. I've never been disappointed. I'm always on the look out for FIKA when I need a coffee. Thank goodness there are a few other locations!
Small, cozy and with only bar chairs to sit on. I love this place. Everything here is great from chocolate and pastries through coffee and to lunch options. I like the Fika's coffee a lot! I also had the meatballs platter here and it was absolutely great, although a touch on the pricy side compared for what you get in terms of portion. All an all, very recommended.
Efficient service. The food is delicious and the chef takes the time to ask each customer if they are enjoying their choice.
Small place so you may want to eat out rather than in. Nice minimalistic design to the place.
Strong and good coffee.

Fantastic cappuccino, quite possibly the best I've ever had. Always came with a design: a leaf or a heart.
Fika is a small yet trendy Swedish coffee house with supremely professional and friendly baristas. It can get really crowded - especially in the morning, mostly with locals.
After reading other reviews, I'm sorry I didn't try the hot cocoa or other drinks. I guess I made it my life's mission: every coffee joint I go into, I try their cappuccino first - that is for me the most telling sign whether they truly are in the business because of good coffee. Fika's Swedish(?) style cappuccino provided for me such a blissful moment, I forgot I could actually read the menu and scan for other yummy entries. The second time I went there I couldn't wait to ask for the same awe-inducing drink.
It has that perfect balance between espresso and milk, between awesome caffeine acidity and milky sweetness (I never add sugar) and the perfect texture: not too much foam, not too little, all the while providing the perfect amount of caffeine for the much needed morning jolt. If you count the artistic touch inscribed with a steady hand in the foam - truly a memorable experience (no "to go" cups for me though). I think it's common knowledge that reviews tend to be more glowing if there is even a tiny amount of alcohol that was consumed with the meal. However I have never written or had a better opinion of any of the places I've been to, including bars with great cocktails or beer. That's probably because great coffee is, contrary to expectations, a seldom and serendipitous find.
Solid coffee joint to hit up when you’re in need of caffeine and close to Central Park. They’re able to do a mean flat white with choice of alternatives including oat milk and almond milk. No soy milk for some reason. Friendly staff. Feels true to the FIKA cafes across Europe too. Great to see this in NY!
Was nice to arrive at a little slice of Stockholm in NYC - had an excellent coffee and blueberry flowerpot muffin - perhaps not the most Swedish experience, but the decor felt very authentic. Service was efficient, although you have to wait by the door when your coffee is prepared, so if its busy you're pushing past people to get served.
Very good coffee, Amazing Chocolates. Be forewarned, a coffee and two chocolates will run you just shy of $9.
Good cold brew. Some of the better cups of cold brew in Midtown.
I go to FIKA every time I am in New York for great Scandinavian-style pastries and coffee. The espresso machine was broken at this particular location when I stopped by, but the employees were very friendly and the atmosphere is small but cozy.
Cozy Swedish flavored coffee house. Limited sitting but great for a coffee and some solicitous go withs. Can do take away too. More expensive then Starbucks but it has a unique sensibilty
