The best sushi. Very unique and good for health. I always enjoy black sushi whenever I visit NY.
Healthy sushi option in midtown!. I tried organic black rice for the first time: black crunch spicy tuna roll and black salmon avocado roll with plum sesame seed. I didn't know what to expect, but it was really tasty! I will definitely come back to try other rolls with black rice. I was happy to learn that black rice has higher nutritional values!! There was also a wide selection of green tea products (chocolate, macha etc.), which I love!
Strongly recommended for anyone in midtown or anyone who wants to have a hearty meal before a Broadway show.
Great place, great ambience, delicious food, friendly people. The chicken ramen is particularly very good. They offer healthier versions too.
Their dumpling soups are great. I tried the veggie one. It is so light and healthy; simple pain broth, boiled veggies, steamed dumplings.
I cannot tell you about the ramen...
Got here about midnight when they closed and the owner let us order. That was kind! And she let us stay till 1230am. We ordered the chicken teriyaki and beef teriyaki plate. She threw in some shrimp tempura. I also got a seaweed salad, edamame, and a Kirin Ichiban beer.
The food so-so. The owner was sweet. The decor not fancy. I can even name some better spots for beef teriyaki and rice. But I do very much appreciate great customer service so 4 stars it is from me.
This is my go to when I need a ramen fix in Manhattan. To be clear this your "I'm a broke college student" ramen kicked up five notches! It's a huge bowl of delicious dashi (broth), choi (vegetables), and whatever else you decided on such as shrimp or chicken katsu.
The sushi is pre-made but definitely not hard like it is at a convenience store. The rice was excellent and still fluffy.
The bowls were about $9ish and altogether with the sushi and Ito-en drinks, we paid about $30. Soupy happiness❣
I've eaten here several times and the food is consistently well prepared. The selection is great. There are some very pricey options but also affordable ones. Drink selection is limited, as is usual. There is not a lot here that someone who doesn't eat sushi or noodles would like. Highly recommend!
This cost $43. The combo at the bottom was the most worth it. The lady behind the counter was very nice. (And actually Japanese!)
If you want quick premade sushi in midtown, this is a good option. The ones at Food Emporium are not as good.
They also have 50% off sushi after 10pm.
The food was amazing!! Tasted like real Asian food. The servers were super nice and were quick to refill our waters. Highly recommend!
