WTF (Where’s The Food)

Amazing restaurant named Santa Fe Restaurant located in upper West side is a great place for having food with friends, this place serves delicious food in a very good way.
Great place to visit here and the service here was great I loved the place and the food served, the service was also good and I would love to visit here again soon.
Very happy with the service initially and the food was very good. (Maybe skip the shrimp on the salad...$10 for 5???) The service fell off a little but it was overall an enjoyable stop.
We so enjoyed this as a last stop on our trip with my daughter 10 and my son 12. We'd been snowed in one extra day, so tried to find a neighborhood Mexican restaurant next to a Central Park so we could play in the snow. 8:30 all locals, all adults, kids felt a little underdressed in jeans so we asked to sit in the corner of the dimmly lit room so we would not be too conspicuous. First the top shelf margaritas were amazing - they warn you to avoid two! The guacamole made fresh was good, though I've had better. The entrees are where they shine - sophisticated combos simply made. Date-night fancy but not too fancy for the kids. Though they did offer to make a plain quesadilla for my daughter who was not going to appreciate the scallions. The crab cakes were outstanding! My son really enjoyed the black bean and sweet potato burrito addition to his platter. I had one of the shrimp specials, which was also fabulous! Perfectly cooked! Good neighborhood texmex in a very cozy atmosphere. Residents we met later in the park were very friendly as we played catch with their dogs in a fresh snow. Lovely evening!
Great authentic Mexican. Had a sit down lunch after a long day of walking. the decor is great, staff is friendly, food is even better. I had the fish tacoes and they had a great tangyness too them. My girlfriend had the tortilla soup and the flavors were great. wasn't too busy, its a great place to get away from the busyness of nyc. must go to for locals, so for tourists off the beaten path its great!
BEST Margaritas in the city! The staff is fun and super friendly and the food is delicious and affordable. Go once and you'll definitely go back.
This is not your average Mexican/ Southwestern restaurant. Excellent food great service. The best poblano sauce I've ever had.
Delicious food, warm atmosphere, excellent service. No pretentions allowed! Great place !!
Clean urban look. Menu options were delightful. My fresh fish sandwich with acacado was exquisite. I would definitely bring a friend. Service was great and not rushed.
Try It...Again. This is one of my favorite neighborhood places and I would hate to see it close.
Gone is the stale old menu. The owner has FINALLY hired a real Chef who has created some wonderful new dishes.
The drinks were always great ... but go for the food. Everything I've had recently has been great, fresh and beautifully presented.
I recently dined at this outstanding Mexican restaurant in NYC, and I can't stop raving about it! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance. The menu offered a tantalizing array of authentic Mexican dishes that left my taste buds dancing with delight.
I got the enchiladas, which were a true masterpiece. Filled with tender, perfectly seasoned meat and smothered in a rich, flavorful sauce, each bite was a burst of deliciousness.
The margaritas were expertly crafted, striking the ideal balance of sweetness and tang, and they paired beautifully with my meal. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the cuisine.
If you're in NYC and craving an unforgettable Mexican dining experience, this restaurant is a must-visit!!!!
Really enjoyed the atmosphere , services excellent and food was delicious , see attached photos . Value for money , large portions , great cocktails , couldn’t but highly recommend it ! Thank you to my friend , great recommendation . Add to your to do visit when you visit New York . We both had Fajatis , one beef and one chicken , as you can see from photos mouth watering delicious . Five Star experience .
Good Mexican food in warm atmosphere. This place has been an upper west side staple for years and still a reliably good Mexican restaurant. Much better than most others in the area. But it's not a typical taco joint. Menu more eclectic. The carne asada with mashed sweet potatoes and roasted zucchini is delicious.
Wonderful dinner at Santa Fe last night. It started out with an issue with our reservation. The manager, Liz, was wonderful in moving things around to accommodate us. She was so sweet and helpful. We had the best chipolte chicken covered in the most delicious sauce. The freshly made guacamole was superb. The yummy skirt steak quesadilla was filled with the most tender steak. Despite the restaurant being filled the service was excellent. We are Santa Fe converts and will be back often.
Relaxed place for lunch. Great margaritas and salad! Service was attentive and good.
Where would you go during Cinco de Mayo?
I had friends visiting the city, therefore, I wanted to make sure they experienced the best, least commercial restaurant that the city has to offer.
As this is Manhattan, it's almost a job in itself to choose from thousands of great restaurants.
Santa Fe Restaurant is conveniently located in the West Side of Manhattan.
We had a large group, so we ordered an array of dishes.
Start with guacamole and salsa, shrimp over rice, and any chicken dish — everything is delicious.
Their dessert is so convincing that it's impossible to keep to your diet.
I’m not a huge drinker myself, but I saw guests indulging in several rounds in a bid to explore their wide range of cocktails.
I can’t wait to return!
Just happened upon this place strolling out of Central Park on the west side. Had a table for 1 outside.
The huevos rancheros were awesome! And the En Fuego Margherita was fantastic! Service was great. I'll definitely be back with friends.
We actually were trying to go to the place next door, but accidentally walked in this restaurant, and we’re Soooo glad. This place is so good!! We loved every bite till the end. Even when we were full, we wanted to keep eating. Shrimp tacos and some chipotle chicken meal.
Great ambience, quick service, quality food! A bit overpriced for Mexican dishes, but you're paying mostly for the ambience and service.
Overall nice place for a brunch or a meal!
Really nice place to go out for a good food! The fajitas with shrimps- Amazing . Margarita-so good. People who work there very nice and friendly people. 10/10.
I can’t speak for the food, as we didn’t sit for dinner but we came for drinks and guac and loved everything! The guac was very fresh, so was the salsa. We tried several of the margs on the menu (spicy, mango, ginger and 71). I love that they have the 71 as an option (less sweet).
Enjoyed dining on the street here. Great service and tasty frozen margaritas. Food was good but not amazing. Ideal for a casual fun evening
Potent margaritas is right! My partner and I ordered the frozen strawberry margaritas to accompany some really good quesadillas and steak frites and I was extremely pleased with the side order of rice and beans. Service was kind and friendly.
We had a very pleasant time in this restaurant when we visited the area last February.
The fajitas and cocktails were delicious and tasty !
Greetings from Paris 🇫🇷 !
Great meal at Santa Fe. The guacamole was perfectly balanced and spicy and thank goodness for the portions because once you start it's hard to stop. We live in the neighborhood and love coming for some Sangaritas [unorthodox? Yes. Delicious? Also yes.] And steak quesadillas. If this is your first venture into Southwestern cuisine, Sante Fe does it well.
A restaurant that feels like it's stuck in the 90s with a menu to match.
This is as watered down of a Mexican food experience as there is.
If you like American Mexican food come here.
