At this place to get Japanese food which will wake tasty and mind blowing food the burger of this place also very good and the reason Chinese combination in burger which is very good
Kobeyaki is a japanese burger joint that's worth stopping by if you're in the area. The burgers are juicy and you can have staples like miso soup if you're in the mood for something more traditional but what steals the show for me are their tempura sweet potato fries. So delicious! Even more so when paired with the wasabi mayo.
The first time I had Kobeyaki it was about two years ago when I was an intern picking up lunch for the office. I thought nothing of it at the time, but I recently went back with a few friends. Really glad I did because it was pretty freakin tasty. The interior is kind of like an Asian Chipotle. It's a more of a pick up and go kind of place, but there is seating if you prefer to stay. My go to order is a Kobe Beef Burger and an order of their awesome tempura sweet potato fries. There is a really good menu selection from rice bowls to sushi if you're not feeling their buns or sandwiches.
Great tasting food that was the right amount of different, without being outright weird. Though a bit greasy, the Kobe beef burger was a grea combination of a quality burger ad teriyaki salad.
A Japanese burger! Doesn't that sound cool? Well, that was something I had to definitely try! In fact, I noticed Kobeyaki few weeks ago, when we went to BRGR. The place has a nice and simple decor that is a mix between a burger joint and a Japanese restaurant. The way it works is that you first order the food and then pick it up at the pick up counter. You can order burgers, rolls, bowls, salad or soups. We were there of course for the burgers! Once it is ready, just pick up your tray full of these nicely wrapped items you just ordered! Each burger was served with lettuce, cucumber, carrot, cabbage, scallions and kaiware (daikon radish). Jodi ordered the veggie burger: It was made of grilled vegetables, portobello, cream cheese, panko, spicy mayo and nori (seaweed). It was good but quite messy to eat as it was kind of falling apart. It was also missing a bit of texture... I ordered the Kobe beef burger: It was composed of kobe beef, teriyaki onions, teriyaki ketchup and spicy mayo. I
A good selection on the menu. Anything from salads, bowls, burgers, rolls, ramen, sweet potato tempura and for dessert they have mochi ice cream.
Had the salmon poke bowl and the spicy crab burger along with the salmon roll snd the sake. All were great portions and the burger fell apart easy but it was honestly delicious. They didn’t have their beer taps running but the sake made up for it. Not too expensive and made quickly nice shop to eat in too. Very happy with my purchase
We ordered their signature Kobeyaki burger, a shrimp roll, and a beef bowl. All were delicious and filling but the burger really stood out for us. They also have some flavorful sauces to go with the food. Prices are reasonable, especially for the prime location in Chelsea ($34 total with drinks). Service was fast but I’m taking away a star because the staff who took our order showed a lot of attitude.
Discovered this place on a Sunday afternoon and decided to give it a try. The food is decent... Nothing great, but will satisfy your hunger for a quick Japanese meal with a twist. Tried the Kobe burger and didn't find it particularly outstanding.... The sweet potato fries were overcooked, but passable. The udon noodle soup was just a tad better than the variety you get at the airport. Service was a bit brusque, but the manager on duty did allow us to switch out a bowl after our kids complained it was too spicy. Again, nothing special... But better than fast food.
Kobeyaki was great! It's reasonably priced for a generous portion. 3 different kinds of saucr well conpliment main dishes. I love the brown rice and salad half and half option. Also, I highly recommend sweet potato fries.
Really interesting menu worth coming back to try more items. The Spider roll and Spicy Tuna roll are solid choices and the pork bun is fabulous.
We ordered the Kobeyaki and Spicy Tuna burger along with the BBQ beef rice bowl. We substituted the rice with udon. Everything was full of flavor. You can have as much spicy mayo and wasabi mayo as you wish! Restaurant was clean, and well kept.
The place has burgers, sushi and noodle dishes. The burgers are good but they do have weird texture, kind of like eating a boca burger. I do like the texture, but if you are used fresh burgers then this is not it. Always get the sweet potato fries, having the tempura coating is awesome.
So nice to see other genres of quick food outside of the traditional Mexican Chinese and American restaurants. Service was efficient, food came quickly. Everything was although a tad overpriced, very yummy and well made. I especially recommend the tuna burger!
I had the Soft shell crab bun. It was very good. Nice balance not too much sauce maintaining the flavor of the crab.
Food is good but I agree with the other reviewers that you don't get a whole lot for the cash spent. The burgers are obviously the crowd favourite. There is a nice balance in the taste and the decor suggests fast service. Worth a visit but they do need to rethink their ratio.
I had a Japanese chicken sandwich and seaweed salad. The salad was great, nothing much to say about it. The burger was huge, but only because they put lots of cabbage and carrots in it. The chicken was a little dry, even though the teriyaki sauce it was covered with was tasty. It would have been good if there was more sauce or less vegetables.
Update: I came back to have their shrimp tempura rolls and they are very worth coming for.
Non pretentious, inexpensive, friendly and delicious. This place does quick food right! Stop by and grab a bowl of the udon noodle soup. Spot on!!
Their soft shell crab bun is amazing! The crispy chicken bun is very good! Very crunchy with loads of veggies and delicious sauce. Their sweet potato fries taste good too!
I got the Kobeyaki Burger. The burger meat is waygu beef and it’s savory, soft, and well seasoned. I thought the greens incorporated on the burger complimented the meat well as it cut through a lot of the fat of the meat. It is on the dry side, I had to add some sauces from the condiment bar. Overall really good and I plan on coming back to try new items.
This place is a like a fast food restaurant for ramen and sushi. We had 3 sushi rolls. I've only had sushi a hand full of times but I thought it was pretty good. With an added bonus, they serve beer, wine and sake.
Good food served fast with great service. The sashimi roll and sweet potato fries are awesome.
My go-to place for ramen when on the go. I don’t like seafood so I’m very happy that the ramen here does not taste at all fishy!!! 🚫🐟The interior is pretty spacey with booths and tables for you to sit if you are eating here. I usually get mine to go (since I work nearby) and the wait is usually 5 min when not busy, or 5-10 min if it is a bit busy. I’ve also tried their rice bowls which are pretty tasty as well! FYI these are not spicy so if you are looking for an extra kick, that’s something you would need to add yourself. Lucky for me, I have a very low spice tolerance so this was great for me. Always looking forward to coming here when in need of a nice warm bowl of ramen - especially during the winter!
