Great sushi and service. The restaurant was quiet on a Sunday afternoon, and we had great attention from the staff. The Aka-Yuki Roll signature roll ($19) was our favorite.

Great little spot for some sushi and catch up with friends. Its reasonably priced and great service.. would recommend for a mid week catch up with friends or a very chilled weekend date night.

Came to this place since I was craving sushi with some friends. Everything from the appetizers to the sushi was delicious, I want to go back to try more menu items! I really loved the atmosphere, is perfect for any date.

Amber on the Upper West Side has been one of our go to spots for many years. We probably order take-out more than we dine in but the sushi and service is absolutely fantastic in either setting. Amber is definitely our favorite sushi spot in the surrounding area. We have never really had a bad experience here in the 10 plus years that we've frequented the place. Highly recommend.

Great food amazing service and open at noon on a Sunday. Loved the ambiance. Cosy setting with good music. I would have given five ⭐ except the pieces of sashimi were super thin and it's only 1 piece per order. Other than that I will definitely be returning. The sticky ribs are truly mouth watering..

The sushi are absolutely delicious and so are the other dishes as well. Great and friendly service. They also have the best lichy martinis in the city!

If you need to decompress solo or with a friend or anytime really its very nice. Kids have nice menu options as well. It's definitely worth a visit. Great papparazzi hideout..lmao...luv the uws..nyc

I had a great time here. I thought it was a bit weird that we had three different waitresses during our time there but I enjoyed it. Food was good, prices were reasonable, and had a good atmosphere too. I wouldn't have minded the back yard being open but other than that, had a grand time.

Fantastic food, very fresh and delicious. Server was very attentive and helpful. We had a lovely time. Very noisy in front area, back was better, place is a little dark and basementy.

The appetizers were great, especially the boom boom shrimp, the sushi was tasty. The drunken noodle isn't spicy tho, I wish it was spicy.

The food was extremely delicious. Everything was fresh. The veggie rolls were crisp and had a wonderful sauce. And the seaweed salad was cold and crunchy and chewy. The service was good. A nice quiet atmosphere with low music and a very cozy little restaurant. — Joni, age 10

Went here before the ballet as it was reasonably close (cold night walking distance). The food was pretty much exactly as I’d expect for a sushi/Asian fusion place. Service was quick and friendly and there were a lot of regulars at the restaurant, so I’d expect it’s a consistent experience for each visit.

Nice little sushi bar with sweet cocktails and tasty fish. I went in at an empty hour, so my experience is skewed away from the norm, but I had no complaints. The Sushi Lover entree was lovely.

The food was good and the options were surprisingly varied for a sushi restaurant.

Love their entire menu. It is often busy but has seats at the bar. Very friendly staff and the location is good for both indoor and outdoor eating.
