Triple OG Spro shop that is a must for anyone who enjoys NYC coffee culture. You don't have to think so hard about it, order a white or a black, chill out on the patio, watch Alphabet City flow around as you come to life for the day!

This would be my local shop if I lived in the neighborhood. I was visiting recently and started several mornings here. Super chill. Great espresso. Croissants are fire.

Delicious coffee. It has limited seating (which actually is quite nice). No wifi, so this should be your reading spot. Pictured: iced oat milk cappuccino

They make a fine cup of coffee and I respect that they try to keep it simple and cheap (or cheaper than some places at least). It's nothing to write home about though. The pastries they stock from C&B are pretty good too.

I first knew Ninth Street when I visited their spot in Chelsea market. I was impressed by how consistent the barista performance was despite the tourist location. Since then I always try Ninth Street whenever I see one and each time the experience has been good. I like the subtle fruity and acidity in the espresso base, nice go solo or with milk. This is the original Ninth Street sitting in East village. There are two benches in front for outdoor seating. Sub-bathed, cozy and peaceful ambience.

I come here all the time. The vibe is good, the coffee and tea are good quality, and the staff is always really kind. I do wish there were more food options but I am very content with what they do offer. It’s always a pleasure to sit down with a drink and pastry and try to get some work done

The fastest wifi in the area in my observation. There's lots of sunlight which is delightful and the tables are decent for any purposes. Great coffee guaranteed and delicious bakery goods as well. Considering all these I just mentioned, you can imagine how competitive to secure a table for yourself here especially on weekends.

Just really good simple coffee (though the oat milk wasn’t steamed very well). I like that they offer 9 oz (8 oz always feels too small and 12 oz dilutes the coffee taste too much- 10 oz would be ideal but a hey!, girl can dream). The maple shortbread cookie was good too- almost too sweet (almost). Service was fine. Coffee was made quickly, baristas weren’t too friendly. No WiFi/space for laptops

Ninth Street Expression is a a landmark coffee join in Alphabet City. probably the first legit coffee shop in the ABC where quality and customer service come first as Starbucks and other large chains took over NYC’s coffee landscape. the interior is modern, welcoming, clean, and quiet-ish. there’s a good amount of seating and some benches right outside the entrance. i really enjoy the expresso in the past but have been more about the iced coffee for the past couple of years bc it’s smooth, light & flavorful, and has a nice even caffeine kick. the coffee program here is pretty simple but everything on it is done consistently and well. iced coffee will run you about $4 + tax + tip the staff is genuinely friendly and chill—reinforcing a fun relaxed atmosphere for coffee addicts.
