Imprescindible la visita a La Nacional, tanto si vives en NYC como si estás de visita! Cuidados eventos, ricos sabores y mucha historia Don’t miss La Nacional! A piece of Spain in 14th street
Just reopened.. amazing food and service. Go before word gets out and you’ll need to make a reservation.
Modern take on classic Spanish and at very reasonable pricing.
La Nacional is a Gem. Close to public transportation and easy to find. The Venue space upstairs is large and open with lots of options for set up. They have options for tables, chairs, sound system and lighting. Communications are great with the owner/mangers of the space and we've been so grateful to host two successful events in the space in the last six months. We plan to return again!! Thank you! - Vanessa & Lainie Love
I used to come before they remodeled it. I loved it then and I love it now! I’ll be a loyal customer for years to come.
I was there for a baby shower and the place is fabulous and the service and the food was great!
Un trocito de España en Nueva York. ¡Gran descubrimiento! Lo encontramos por casualidad, pero nos interesa seguir sus actividades.
Tapas. Cocktails. A first time visit and a new discovery. What's better?

Vamos a poner nuestro obtimismo
para sembrar amor, fraternidad y solidaridad en nuestras comunidades.
Gracias Ed y a todo el equipo que hace posible este formidable evento.

The best Milonga in New York.
Came here to celebrate a birthday dinner and we had a great experience. We were arrested quickly by the servers and took our orders very promptly. Servers were very friendly and there atmosphere was very pleasant. Food also came out relatively quick. Each dish was more delicious than the previous and we were very full by the end of the meal. My personal favorite was they garlic shrimp. Would definitely recommend coming back again.
First time dining here with co workers & everything was absolutely amazing ! The Sangria is the main reason for our visit & it did not disappoint !! Was incredibly delicious !! We probably chose one of each dish on the menu to get a small taste of several dishes, also absolutely delicious !! What was supposed to be a glass or two of Sangria turned out to us leaving just upon closing !! The food had such good flavor as we enjoyed every dish we had chosen. I must agree with other reviews about the level of service, the staff although very pleasant they aren't very attentive even if it's not busy. We know to order everything we'd like to drink & eat at once. My recommendation would be to make reservations as we tried again as a walk another time but unfortunately no seats available. Other than this tiny issue definitely a fabulous place to dine at.
Food was spectacular. Lots to choose from, but not overwhelming. Good atmosphere, not too busy. Fast service, but they forgot one thing we ordered. Nice restrooms.
We love the food here. We came here the other day around noon, and they have both regular and brunch menu. Their paella has different toppings based on the price. Grilled octopus here is a little soft to me, as I expected it would be somehow crispy on the outside. However, overall food here is very nice with a good vibe/services. I will definitely come back and try something else.
Amazing! It felt like a warm hug 🥰
I found this via maps and thought it looked pretty authentic and finding a table on a Friday night was easy once I called.
The service was excellent, they made sure to seat us! Food came out quickly, everyone was very nice.
The tapas were amazing and very authentic, and the desserts weee fantastic!
Bonus points for being close to the train.
Such a cool vibe here. The layout so classy, sleek, and modern.
Empanadas - Pretty good by themselves, I didn't care much for the sauce.
Arroz de Lobster - Delicious! I enjoyed this rice more than the one in the paella.
Marisco Paella - Huge and enjoyable. The seafood was cooked so well, especially the shrimp.
Churros con Chocolate - My new favorite churros in the city. They were thick, crunchy on the outside, and soft on the inside. The chocolate sauce was amazing. It was like a chocolate mousse pudding with cool vanilla cream at the bottom. We scooped it clean.
We chose La Nacional as the location for my parents to first experience Spanish food and it was PERFECT. I have been eating Spanish food for years and wanted to make sure that we found someplace with rich cuisine AND culture for an introductory experience and La Nacional fit this desire to a tee. Exquisite food, fun and lovely staff, epic cocktails, all at a reasonable price in a storied setting. This is a top recommendation for me to all future visitors coming to NYC and looking for a piece of Spanish love.
Best Spanish restaurant in the city! Food here is really good, especially considering the price. Paella is great at a reasonable price. Here is nyc, and everything is expensive, but dishes here are not. Also, I love the cozy atmosphere here.
The food was good but not the best tapas I’ve tried in NYC. They have very good prices on the menu. The crowd favorites were the patatas bravas and the croquetas caseras. We had 5 tapas, a bottle of wine, a fideua of chicken and veggies, and churros. For 6 people this was more than enough food for $38/each. Everyone loved the churros, they were very tasty and crunchy.
Cocktails very reasonably priced, and food was good. Recommend the croquettes and arroz dishes. The pulpo could’ve been better (if grilled to order so that the outside is crispy) - felt a bit cold and soggy. Friendly service and clean and comfortable seating.
Foods are great and reasonably priced! The pan tumaca is to die for. Must order! We also love the seafood paella! Drinks are yummy too.
Great food and drink. Pan Tumaca con Jamon one of the best.
Had other tapas last time, croqueta, patatas bravas... this is by far the best!
Food great. Service as well.
Paella mixta good. Authentic. Squud and chicken better than mussels.
But, when adding 20% gratuity, should notify customers.. especially since our party was only 3 people. Understand customary tip if more than 6 for example... but should let known
What a fantastic spot with a great outdoor street terrace. The bartender made me an awesome watermelon mezcal cocktail, the food was delicious, and everyone had a wonderful time. Highly recommend the pan tumaca and the Manchego Mac and cheese. The waiter even spoke Spanish ¡OMG!
The history of this place is also cool! Used to be called little Spain! Cause big Spain is on the other side of the pond! Que bueno!
I love a good family style meal and each paella was cooked to perfection. I know I’m coming back for more!
The food was superb and very reasonably priced! We will definitely be back next time we are in NYC.
Was genuinely pleasantly surprised by the food as it tasted refined but authentic. We ordered the pulpo & gambas which was cooked perfectly with lots of flavour. The cheese & meats plate was ok but wasn’t what i was hoping for.
