Excellent atmosphere and top notch food. Dined with 4 other friends and everyone loved what they got. Highly recommend trying this place.

Great service, food, and atmosphere! The lucky walker is one of the best cocktails I've ever had- so many flavora in one refreshing drink. Boyfriend said that the shepards pie was the best he ever had.

The fried chicken sandwich is fabulous... my wife loves their spicy green papaya salad and is happy they know how to pour a pint

Keep walking up 2nd Ave past all the other 'pubs' to get to The Milton..worth it!

Had an early dinner today. Party of 4 with 1 being immuno compromised. Restaurant was beyond accomodating as far as seating us away from other diners (it was too hot to sit outside)
Food was excellent and service was amazing! We had the spinach & artichoke dip to start and it came with homemade chips which were delicious. Two of us had fish & chips - extra crispy on the outside without being dry inside - so good! Others had cottage pie and Irish burrito which they both enjoyed.
If we are ever in the area again, we will be back!
I'm in NYC for the week from Virginia, so I expect any restaurant I go to, to be really good, but The Milton was awesome! Fabulous food, amazing NYC vibe and atmosphere, and friendly staff. My wife and I shared the fish and chips, and one may wonder how any restaurant could improve on such a common dish, but the Milton did it. Fish was cooked to perfection and those fries were just right. My son had the cottage pie that he said was incredibly good, and his partner had the tuna tar-tar which she pronounced to be fabulous. Next time we're in the city, we'll be back. Thanks!
Thrilled to have this cosy neighborhood pub with a wonderful happy hour served by an excellent bartender! The fish & chips and the cottage pie were a taste from across the pond ~ now only if they can add Sunday roast with Yorkshire pudding 😉
We were visiting from out of town and the Milton had the best cocktails of any place we visited in the city! The cocktails were unique, accurately priced, and tasted amazing!!
I love this restaurant. I frequently
visit on my way home from work when I know I really don’t want to cook but need a flavorful and filling meal. The options on the menu hits the spot every time. The staff are all sweet angels who are kind, courteous and amazing at what they do. I love being in this restaurant/bar and thoroughly enjoy bringing those I love and care about to enjoy this place as well.

I’m a bit jaded in my review. I lived nearby about 8 years ago & still live in the past when they didn’t have TVs.
At one point the spot turned into an attempted sports bar with folksy decorations and I strongly disliked the change.
I haven’t been back since until recently this year. I went around 9 and it was very calm and chill, which is my style. The bartender was nice and felt very knowledgeable when we asked about different cocktails.
There was still a tv, but it wasn’t on and the music was indie. I would come back if I was in the area. Recommend if you’re not the typical UES yuppie crowd and looking for a change of calm scenery.
Came with my friend and the food was very delicious and the drinks were too. I love ginger and that ginger drink I had was the absolute best!! I finally got my friend to try spinach artichoke dip and she enjoyed it. Overall a nice low key atmosphere that has a chill vibe and will be coming back when I go visit my friend again.
Food and drinks have always been amazing and quick to arrive at the table. Lovely environment and staff. Absolutely recommend to anyone in the city area.

Have come here twice for dinner and enjoyed our experience both times!
The ambiance is spacious between tables (just watch out when crossing the street’s bike lane lol)
The first time we came, we noticed there were a lot of appetizers we wanted to try, but opted for entrees (figuring that we’d come back to try the appetizers). We ended up getting the chicken sandwich and fish and chips. Both were pretty tasty - the chips (fries) are great. When they give you dips / condiments like ketchup, they’ll give it to you in small plastic containers (which is not great for the environment, but obviously have to be safe with Covid). I did wish that my fish and chips came with the small side of mashed peas that typically come with this dish.
The second time we visited, we order a bunch of appetizers including the chicken nuggets, grilled cheese with tomato soup, side of chips (fries), and the Mac and cheese. My friend wasn’t a huge fan of the chicken nuggets (he prefers McDonald’s biggest 🙄 haha) but I enjoyed them. The Mac and cheese was also pretty good and the bread crumbs on top were the perfect addition. Our favorite appetizer was definitely the grilled cheese and tomato soup though. The bread used for the grilled cheese was thin but perfectly lightly browned. Although the cheese itself wasn’t a blend or anything fancy, it was that perfect grilled cheese when you want some comfort food. I would definitely come back and order the grilled cheese.
For drinks, we tried the mojito, mango margarita, and strawberry margarita. The strawberry marg was definitely the winner (but could’ve been stronger).
Would definitely come back again to try more of the menu!
If you are looking to host a small gathering with friends and family, look no further. We hosted our baby shower at the Milton this past June and I cannot express enough how helpful Paul the manager and the staff at the Milton were. Paul gave us ideas on layout and flow for the party, he was amazing! The staff were super friendly to our guests and efficient. The food and service was excellent.
Even though our party was a short 3 hours, we did it this way so that people that came from far with kids can go home at a decent time.
Once our time-frame was over, we stayed at the bar with the few friends that stayed after. Everyone had a great time! Thank you Paul and his staff for such an amazing event! :)
Ordered Eggs Ploughman’s Brunch and Eggs Benedict. Decent portions, loved the potatoes in the eggs ben. Felt that the prices were abit pricey for the food we ordered but no major complains.
Didn’t have to wait long to be seated. They have outdoor seating and is dog friendly. Staff were friendly.
Great Gasto Pub with fresh food. Ordered a fish and chips and the entire plate was delicious, including the tarter sauce, which may have been home made. Additionally, there is a town of outdoor space and a large open indoor concept. Lastly, I don’t know what they do with their seltzer, but it was absolutely delicious.
My favorite bar around this area!!! Cocktails are really good. I usually go there during happy hours. Good and drinks are good. Service is also lovely👍

I came here on a recommendation from a friend who joined us for brunch that day. I myself ordering the chicken truffle nuggets along with the eggs benedict.
Personally, I wasn't expecting the taste from the nuggets which was an interesting hit as I've never had chicken truffle nuggets before.
The eggs benedict as well was also a nice filling meal to go after finishing the nuggets. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The waiters are extremely nice as well. Would definitely go again.
The Milton is so, so lovely. Sunday morning means brunch seats fill up fast but this place has more than enough space outside.
Another customer advised me to get the brunch so I got this gorgeous plate and it did not disappoint! The boiled egg was perfect with a little kick, probably my fav on the plate.
The pink panther was a pretty good drink as well! I like the foggy glass the most. It wasn’t very sweet but wasn’t too strong in taste. Will definitely come back for lunch!
Simple, filling Irish/ English pub fare like hamburgers and fish and chips, with a side of peas. They have a good selection of draft beers and cocktails. Speedy service. One of the few affordable places to watch live jazz in Manhattan.
Had brunch here today with a group of 4. Fabulous experience. Food and drinks were delish. Great hospitality from Emma and Paul. Such friendly and warm service. We can’t wait to return
